Ideas for Next TNG Party..

Probably still early to start planning for the 'next one', too many of these and they start to become mundane and lose their appeal IMHO.

But I thought it might be fun to see what imaginative ideas are out there for the next dance/party.

Obviously to make it work, it would have to be in neutral territory, like BB. I was thinking the Inn at Gadgetzan is an interesting place. It has large banquet tables, BBQ pits, and a beach like feel. Some drawbacks; it will be difficult for our less seasoned folk to get there. Also its pretty bright, and some of us like to stay in the dark where our bumpy skin blemishes aren't so obvious (or in some cases, total lack of skin, missing lower jaws, fungus, etc..)

Indeed, it might be fun to try out a beach party theme. Somewhere murloc and makura free of course (and those pesky crocolisks..).

Hmmm... mebbe have some races at the track? Normal mounts only; track judges follow on Epic mounts to monitor potential "cheating" ? Carrots, spurs, riding enchants: perfectly acceptable. Just use normal mounts so judge is always in front as needed.

And that would ruin the festivities, all that blood, dancers would slip and fall and might injure themselves. Can't have that. :)

I'm thinking a good drunken relay race might be fun. You form teams of 5 or so, which must be of mixed classes. Everyone is given 10 strong alcoholic drinks which they hold (or 5 or whatever it takes to reach the limit of drunkenness). A course is laid out that includes swimming and climbing. The teams line up at the starting line, and at the GO! the first in line must chug the 10 drinks, then take off and complete the course. The next person in line must wait until the first returns and 'tags' them (/poke). Then they must chug their 10 drinks and do the same. First team to finish the entire course with all of their people, is the winner. Easy to judge, someone stands at the starting/finish line and makes sure people are tagged, and drink their drinks. A few others around the course to make sure no one takes a shortcut.

No mounts allowed, you gotta run. No potions. No external buffs from other people. Other than that, you can do whatever your class can do, sprint, cheetah, seal form, whatever.

A beachy area with some climbable terrain would be great for this.

If you use class speed buffs, druids are going to obviously win. Sprint in cat form, then cheetah, and finally aquatic if they have to swim. Warriors, warlocks, shamans, paladins, and priests all lack any kind of skill to move more than the default speed.

Beach party sounds good... hmm wonder how we'd set up a beach volleyball net?

I like the relay race idea. Heck, it will be really interesting if we made the teams inter-faction! We would just have to be careful with the tag offs, lest one accidentally Ambush/Backstabs their team mate..

Mudd can move fast when he charges something.. maybe he can charge from mob to mob along the race route..

But then, he would probably do that anyway, and in the wrong direction..

Firstly, I must point out, that Zust and I have the same hat. And yes, it looks sharp.


Secondly, I'd like to make a Dwarven addition to this pot of ideas from -our- wee get togethers...

Drunken Bare-knuckle boxing.

You're not allowed chest, head or hand armour of any sort, and most of the lads prefer bare-chested. (Showoffs, all) It's a grand time! Inter-faction would be duels, crossfaction would be... kinda a game of chicken. If you /kneel or /beg or something, the other person has to lay off. Admitedly, if you wait to long, some people might to say hi to the spirit-dame.

Also, to avoid confusion from people thinking its a real fight, you'd have to go away from the main group so noone interferes.

And if you're not at least tipsy, you're a damn dirty cheater! In fact, a great strategy that we've found is actually drinking -during- the fight. Enhances reflexes and toughens you up.

Any ideas on where a good beach would be? Hillsbrad, stranglethorn? Something with a low critter populations. Or friendly critters. The Hinterlands, but that's a long ways away.

I like the warrior quest Isle idea...Or maybe the Echo Isles....they're pretty.

Oh, and if we have a race, I can't be in it. I have an 8% speed increase because of talent points.

But drunken naked bareknuckle brawling? I'm always up for that.

Actually, I love that place! Nice empty buildings and hardly anyone goes there. And there's the beach and all that as well.

Yes, that is a potential down-side. But its remoteness and relatively low-traffic can also work to our advantage. And only advertising the party here instead of on the TN forums. I don't think the flagged / not-flagged issue is that big of a deal. If someone attacks, they become flagged. I would be more concerned with the potential of being zerged.

One thing I did like about the Booty Bay get together was the presence of neutral guards to discourage ganking. Gadgetzan may be a better place to try ... or Winterspring (with summons for those of us that can't just go there yet, myself included). Although there's not much of a beach in WS. :)

hmm..true. *shrug* don't matter to me. 1/2 the people standing around waiting for someone to turn red would probably be a good deterrent to any horde that decided to start something i guess.

Hehe ... I create bank alts too. And one is my AH monkey (I send him stuff from my main to post on the AH rather than have to go there myself).

Seeing as how most of us don't have / haven't saved their snowballs, and Kurohane has, I'm getting a vision of a headline in the Goblin Times:

Neither Horde nor Alliance were spared. Orcs, Tauren, Humans, Elves and others staggered around inside the inn, nursing welts and covered in soaking wet clothing. Said one Orc warrior: "She was merciless. She kept throwing and throwing. I had snow inside my helmet and down the back of my armor. Have you ever tried to get snow out from under solid plate? It's no picnic."

Sadly, most of the victims were defenseless. The guards would allow no weapons and other snowballs in the area were scarce at best.

In a rare joint effort, both Horde and Alliance field commanders have issued a warrant for the apprehension of the Night Elf responsible. She is armed and believed delicious (at least by the undead present and Zusteakai).

If you guys are still trying to find a party place, I've got an idea. Off the coast of Feralas, south of Feathermoon Stronghold, there's a place called The Island Of Dread or something like that. It has beaches, mountainish landscape, and on the east(?) side no mobs. Just a thought :)

Yeah, I was there the other day. Not a bad place for a beach party. The other option I was thinking of was on top of one of the collosals in Feralas.

There is a pool for swimming/fishing. No mobs. And the extreme sport fanatics can have fun cliff diving if they want.
