Sanrin

The height adjustment was the biggest issue for Sanrin to get used to. He by no means was a hulking figure as a human, but the almost petite actions of his elven figure, bizarre by all accounts. The wonders of magic. The fact that Silvermoon itself was an imposing city, it was almost as if the Blood Elves were constantly compensating for something. Self sweeping brooms, arcane guards, self serving food…it was a wonder the elves couldn’t wipe their ass without the use of magic.

Though I can imagine that being a pleasant experience overall… Sanrin thought with a grin, walking quietly through the bright city streets.

He had avoided most of the individuals amongst the Horde thus far, Sanctuary had given him more then a warm enough welcome, and considering he knew absolutely nothing about their culture or even how to speak their language aside Orcish…a simple potion able to cover his minor inabilities, but not all encompassing. All shields have flaws, afterall.

Sanrin strode proudly (as everyone else around him seemed to strut) through the brighter sections of the city. He smiled softly, watching commerce mill about. It was surreal, the other side of the battlefield, observing individuals he was so used to fighting simply live out their days. To see their families.

Why do this to yourself, my child? the voice again, it had been more frequent these few days.

‘Why? To see what we’re up against, as always. What else is the point of reconnaissance?’ He spat in return, watching the rangers train in their routine unison.

Is it easier to fight now that you’ve seen their children? Their wives and husbands? Your father never bothered to make such distinctions you know.

‘Which is what separates myself from him. He was a murderer. I am not.’

You kill for a goal?

He tore away from their practice reluctantly, making his way across the street, silent as his mind stayed suppressed in thought.

You have no goal. You came here looking for a fight. The dangers of Outland aren’t enough are they? Came looking for a war?

‘And you of all people show know about inciting wars now, dear mother? Stay away from me with your fucking rational thought. I came here because I don’t like where things are going, and unlike our allies I intend to change it first hand. Or would you prefer to remain noble like those rich fat assholes in Stormwind who allow the footmen to do all the work?’

He felt the atmosphere around him change almost instantly as his foot crossed over into the temple. The paladins around him familiar in so many ways, yet distant in some others. He never had traditional training in being a paladin. Simply put, he understood exactly how these new Blood Knights emerged. He had never asked for his gifts, just used them to the point of abuse. If at any point he abused them too much he figured they would simply be taken away…there was no need for responsibility in his cause. He knew with every step he took, watching the overconfident smiles and hearing the brash remarks of his ‘allies’ that this was wrong.

He pushed past the curtains quietly, looking up at the Naaru with pity. It was stealing, plain and simple. This wasn’t their gift, this wasn’t even their curse. They were abusing their power, at the expense of a being who solely existed to help others. It was disgusting.

So now you found it? A reason to hate again. Something to fuel your racism and give you purpose?

‘Racist? Far from it, but I’m no fool, I can tell when something is up. I just needed to confirm my hunch, that’s all.’

Hunch? Is that the only reason you’re here?

‘Heh, that and its easier to kill when you see in the mirror every day.’

He paused a moment, looking up at the being of Light with a soft frown. He had his fill with the city for today.

(Add on if you'd like, my continuation to this story will take a while for me to write as my present duties have become a bit much)

(edit- ...forgot to add those italic thingies!)
