Ophiella

The sun was raising, and glittering against the oceans low waves. Ophiella sat tall on Halin's dusty white fur watching as the water kissed the yellow sand line of the shore. It had been a while since she'd got back near the water ways, fear mostly of constant threat notes in her mailbox, and the dagger she had found stabbed into the dirt mound of Fathers grave...Grendic never cared for Father...
Ophiella had been residing in the mainland areas, Silithus, Un'Goro, Winterspring, the Plaguelands- anywhere clear of a dock or to close to a deep river. There would be no chances taken...But now rumor had it that her dearly and oh so beloved, eldest brother was taking refuge with the Goblins in Ratchet.
Someone had ratted out the hideout in Booty Bay, so had the rumor, and he wouldn't dare travel out to sea if the Bruisers of Stranglethron passed on the word to the Sentinels, who still held that bounty over his head.
Grendic Onoris Moongale, First born son of Aerque and Rhyanis. His father hated him, he became a thief- a rogue, not a warrior for Elune like Aerque had wanted of his son, not only that, but he had stolen his only daughter down the same path. Three children and only one- Gao a lost son now to the Humans or the ground, had followed somewhat in the shadow of their father. Rhyanis was a Priestess of the Temple, and unlike most Families she and Aerque wanted her daughter to become a Warrior, a Sentinel for the City of Darnassus.
The dream was soon shattered. Grendic left home for long time frames, often to be found at the Coast of Teldrassil, or under the dock in Rut'theran Village. It was at an early age that he joined into the Moongale Cusp, a clan of good-for-nothing thieves and ship-wreckers who'd kill everything and anything for a few gold coins. Their Father's Brother had began the Cusp at a young age, they started by pickpocketing humans, and the like who came to Darnassus, then Darkshore. Soon their skills increased and they moved up to boarding ships...then murdering the innocent.
Members of the Moongale Cusp each bare a marking of a broken black mast with an 'M' on thier upper backs just between the shoulder blades- so not to be easily seen. Most were born or married into the coven, all sharing the surname of Moongale, but not in the resent years. Now it seemed only the core members were true Moongales.
Ophiella had joined the Cusp to avoid her brother's wrath, and to gain a 'father' being that their father had left the family again, helping Humans said the rumors, magic mother disagreed with. At a younger age their uncle scared and inked her back, like he did the others to mark her into the coven- at the time she was happy to belong somewhere. Grendic took on the role as both a Father, and a Boss to her now.
Halin yawned wildly, his tongue flicked out and lapped up some of the cool water, Ophiella patted his neck "Good boy, Halin. It's good, isn't it.." She glanced over her shoulder uneasily, no, the area was still clear- empty, safe. After he had lifted his head she tugged to the right, and snapped his reins clicking her tongue they headed back inland. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a woman running into a cave, the girl didn't look all that strong either, Ophiella got Halin to follow swiftly.
"Miss? Miss! Ma'am!" she called out jumping off Halin and chasing into the tunnel as the woman moved out of sight behind the rocky end. "Ma'am! There are Pirates here, it is not a safe cove-" Ophiella called out once more, lowering her voice as a Dwarf pirate came into view. She slipped into the shadows and followed the sandy footprints along the shore. Where the hell did that woman go, she growled to herself. Two ships side by side appeared out of the morning clouds docked against the shore. Ophiella saw the woman and unstealthed, "Miss-" She began as the woman walked towards her, then there was a sharp pain over her head, it spun, she looked up slowly to see someone handing the woman, who had just blown her a kiss, a few silver coins. Tricked for Silver! not even Gold. Ophiella stumbled out of being sapped, she reached for a flash powder- only two...She fingered one packet then threw it down, but someone grabbed onto her wrist.
"Going somewhere?" It laughed, not a voice she recognized...She turned and unshealthed her dagger, making a stab at the man's hand, he dropped his grasp with a yelp- two large hands held fast to her Shoulders from behind her. Ophiella gave a loud growl and thrashed in her holding,
"Now now Baby Sister...Is that the way you greet people? And here I thought I trained you better" She was spun around to face her Brother, "I thought you were in hiding- like the coward you are" She spat in his left eye, he smirked. A hand rubbed harshly against her cheek, as a nail scratched just under her eye,
"Someone really should teach you to mind yourself- What of that Husband of yours, doesn't he put you in your place?" Grendic laughed once more, her cheek bled red, "So you thought you could get Married- change your name, and what? You wouldn't be a Moongale anymore-" He gave a twisted glare,
"No more tattoo on your back, thanks to your fling with the Tauren, and now a new last name- Bladesong is it? Rather weak don't you think- Hah, don't look at me like that, I'm not stupid I still have contacts, I know who he is, and you keep thinking you are so wise hm, Ophiella my Sister, your looks give you away" He brush her midnight hair back over her shoulder,
"Father made us all the same, you are the spitting image of him you know, right down to his weaknesses." Ophiella thrashed her head to the left, he laughed at her, "What do you want Grendic, I'm done with the Cusp...I'm happy for once, with the Blades. Can't you leave me be?" she growled lowly,
"You still owe me for your first Husband Zrekk, and you know how it works, take a life, lose a life." He smirked, taking out his sword. Ophiella kicked up some sand, then heaved him in the gut. "Leave me!" She hissed sprinting along the coast, sometime popped behind her and she spun around- blinding powder burned into her eyes, she screamed, and dropped her last Flash powder packet.
Feeling around she scaled a tree, hugging the branch- she could still hear Grendic below, he wasn't laughing now, he was right pissed. "Ophiella you #@%$!! You can't hide from me, I'll get you sooner or later!" He screamed out, running in half circles trying to find her. At last he stopped, standing a few feet from the tree she hid in. "Do you like the powder? It's a new invention of mine...not only does it blind, burns doesn't it- Hope you can figure out the cure, else you won't see me coming next time" He laughed, although he was partly defeated, and knew it.
Then the air was silent, Ophiella fell from the tree, and hit the sand with a soft 'thud'. A wet nose sniffed her rib, then licked the blood off her cheek and nudged her up onto it's back. "Good boy, Halin...Good bo-" she murmured weakly, stroking his neck, and dropping her head to his. She fell asleep with tears wetting his fur, as he padded home- to Darnassus, with her on his back.
After leaving her with the Enchanting masters to bring her up to her house, the white saber dashed off to find Flick, Rev's Wolf. And get help.
