I'm thinking of starting a new guild to fill the gap for those who want a 'good guy' horde guild. I might be wrong, but there don't seem to be many options at current for this.
My aim is to have a guild that believes that peacefull co-existence between horde and alliance, should be possible.
Now, I realise this sounds ridiculous on a PvP server, but the point is to create dynamic role-playing, motion and conflict (conflict in a good way leading to more roleplaying as opposed to OOC conflict).
The guild would be focused on the two aspects that make the server great Rp and PvP. PvP you ask? How do peacefull, tree-hugging, hippies with tusks get involved in PvP?
Well, we believe that the only thing stopping peace is the current minority of trouble-makers that seek war and chaos. We would see it as our goal to terminate these individuals as efficiently as possible.
Also, the status-quo has to be gently phased out untill the leaders can sort themselves out. Lands and interests need to be protected. The battle for Warsong Gulch, and others like it, would need to continue as we still need our resources. There is no point to allowing the horde to be crushed by our enemies before we make peace. So yes, we will see it as our duty to get out there and defend ourselves and other horde.
Roleplaying wise, we/I would like the guild to facilitate more Alliance/Horde interaction. Peace-talks, meetings etc. (which of course offer brilliant opportunities to interupted by the more warlike folks, leading to more RP ... of the PvP variety... etc.)
--------
I also don't want us to be another zerg-recruiter. Entry and advancement in the guild will require quests and other tests of self. All Roleplaying in nature. Invitation only if possible.
Anyway, this is the current idea in my head.
I'd appreciate any comments from others on whether they feel a guild like this has a place right now. What they could/would contribute to the community, and any other suggestions you can think of.
Oh, lastly, the name 'Keepers of Peace' is NOT the name of the guild, simply the title of the thread. The name is currently in flux.
