BTW it appears that Blizzard held its ground very well upon launch so I humbly eat my words of doom when it comes to server instability in the first couple of days 8O

Well, Blizzard implemented the BC coding in 2.0.1 .. and there was actually a lot of downtime then.. So -- in way, you were right there was a lot of BC downtime, just not when BC was launched. -winks-

Nothing compares to the server instability of Novenber 2005- January 2006. Glad that's history. The server has been great. The new newbie zones have NOT been horribly over-run. This and Anarchy Online's expansion "Shadowlands" are for me the two best, SMOOTHEST expansions ever in any of the online games (14 in all) so far that I've played that have had expansions hit. The worst was EQ's Luclin expansion. Had me out of game for at least a week, unable to log in.

I am loving WoW all over again.

im loving my Roguadin (yes a dps whore paladin).

i left the holy tree and said goodbye to my healadin skills...i am now protection spec and im lvling liek a bitch....and i out dps'd a rogue my own lvl (im 34 now) *flex*

Your protection spec paly and you out dps'ed a rogue your own level. No offence but either the rogue has no gear equipped or he doesnt know how to play. That said I understand prot paly is perhaps the most powerful (if a bit slow/boring) solo spec there is. Funny how prot warrior is also slow/boring but is actually about the weakest solo spec in the game.... thems the breaks!

I've out-DPSed a rogue with my Ret paladin, on a few occassions. He wasn't the BEST rogue ever, but had good gear. I -did- have to bust my ass to do it, too.

He blamed consecrate. XD
