In honor of chingaso..

..I made a level 1 tauren druid named after my favorite Mcdonald's burger, the Big'N'Tasty. His name is Bigandtasty.

While not as 'offensive' as Chingaso's name, I want to see how many in game days this name will last before it is reported or attempted to be changed.

When the GM gets in contact with me, I want to have a list of names needing to be changed. I'll be writing them down as I go along, but if some of you guys come across some names on TN (especially 60's) that are obviously name violations, write them below this post.

I will be playing this character religiously until the 16th, where my paladin wannabe arse will be reverting to doing that. Otherwise, I will still make certain appearances, if the name is not changed by then.

It seems like a good idea right now. Kind of ass-holish but...I want to know how long a non-rp name will last.

It could be seen as tongue-in-cheek RP but ToS states that names can be 2 words strung together, not 3.

I've seen quite a few reportable names, though all level 1's, such as Beefnugget.

I voted first day because that is how long it will take for the name to be reported. However when if any action is taken it will likely be well after he is tier 2 lvl 60 at the very least (assuming you ever take him that far).

I have seen far worse names live out their lives with many reports made against them (made by myself and others) and they are mostly ever acted upon so the guy will probably first get bored and leave the realm before he is asked to change his name.

Yeah, I realize that in the north, northeast, midwest, northwest, west coast, east coast, southwestern and southeastern US it's the name of a McDonald's burger, but here in Texas we commonly refer to one's wang as a big'n'tasty. So his name basically means "wang" to me, which is obviously highly offensive.

I get your attempt at a paralell, Rasta. But not even close to being the same thing.

Just because you don't speak spanish, live in a hispanic neighborhood or have a glimmer of experience in hispanic culture and slang, doesn't mean MILLIONS of other people and THOUSANDS of other players don't.

If you were to buy a dictionary of Hispanic slang (They do exist, I have one for Japanese) the word you were drawing a paralell to WOULD be in there.

I highly doubt "Big N' Tasty" is main stream enough to make it into any English slang dictionary.

This is my absolutely final post on this subject as I am sure everyone is as sick of it as I am. The arguement should NEVER have been about the possible meaning of the word. It means what it means, pretty much all over the world, and anyone who disputes it either has never heard the word before, or is trying to downplay it.
