View Full Version : It doesn't make it better but...
Ephram

I know how important our names are to our characters. Its a personal thing, like naming a child. So, to show my support for Chingaso as a fan, even if we disagree, I have decided to share in his pain.
I have been planning Ephram for months now. Although he doesn't actually exist yet, in my mind he does. I have a bio up, decided on his appearance, and have worked on quirks and phrases he will commonly use. As a character he is complete and full of personality.
I will change his name and I won't be the one to decide it.
You will.
Field suggestions and vote for your favorites. The only thing I ask is that it be fitting for a Blood Elf. "Cindersong" is not changeable as his last name as this would effect Evanthe too.
Now the only thing we need is a ruling official. Chingaso, you are it. I give this vote until Jan. 15th. May the best name win.
P.S. Chingaso, you may want to pick a few top ones, as one may be taken. If all the winners are taken I will name him the closest variant possible.

Name him "Marhpe".
So if somebody tries to grief you while roleplaying, you can say "Don't get in the way of Marhpe, fool!"

To point out the obvious here, that's just Ephram backwards.
And used in the context of my example, it sounds kinda like "Mah RP", so you could use it to flame RP-griefers in an IC context.

LOL. Awesome. Although I fear it would degenerate into sounding like Marp, and that sounds a little too much like a bodily function to me.
"Oh god, I'm gonna marp." or "Excuse me, I just Marped".

Sildeilin (Sil-day-lin). According to certain sources, Delling was the Norse personification of twilight. In others, he was a red elf of the west. Both cases, he was wedded to Nott, personification of night. Sil is just a common elflike sound that I got from the Simarillion. Sildeilin and Evanthe, or Sildeilin Cindersong how names go together has to be considered, and while I could choose better, it isn't terrible. I didn't add the g because it would make the name too long in comparison, and I'm not sure the sound is appropriately elvish. I looked into Finnish mythology (which has really amazing stuff), and was going to look into Celtic mythology, but ran out of time for both. Even though you're having other people choose your name for you, I'd suggest looking into Finnish mythology for finding a name. That's what I came up with at the spur of the moment, basing off of you being a blood elf, and having "The Black Orchid" in your signature.
EDIT: After looking at your story, I don't think my name suits your background. I'll think of something else later, but Marsade comes to mind.

I had a stuffed bear named Pookie too. He had a bell in his ear. Removing it was my first surgery. I think I was three.

All my dolls were named Stacy.. cause I wanted to be named Stacy instead of Crystal. EVERYONE was named Crystal.
Then I hit highschool and befriended a girl named Stacy. She's been my best friend since day one of freshman year..
That was 10 years ago. A month ago, she named me and my husband godparents of her newly birthed baby boy :D
Sometimes, things are destined!
No pookie bears though, sorry.

Haha!! You know, I did the exact opposite with my bear, Fritz. I cut him open and put marbles, my sister's Barbie head, and a cheesie inside him. Then I sutured him back up.
I think I was 6 or 7...

Garfield called, he wants his bear back.
Oh, also...
Skyze stole that idea off an orc (I think) that was rolled up on TN a few months back. He was reported and castrated (at least I hope so).

Either way decide fast. It would suck to log on and find the name you end up with taken by someone else.

Only person who can declare a winner is Chingy.
*Gets down on knees* Please, please make it a good Blood elf name.

Please keep Ephram. Please. Not that I don't appreciate the gesture, but it's just not necessary. Besides, we are cooking up a good RP as to why Chingaso had to truncate his name.
Besides, I like Ephram as a name. Reminds me of Ephriam, one of the twelve.
I started a "place holder" named Chingaso just in case they change their minds. No block, nothing.
Oh, and today I saw a character named "Hoto."
