So how did the event go? I really would have loved to make it,but sadly work has it's way of killing WoW time.
Was wondering which side,if either, ended up winning the battle.

The Horde won, and it was a grand ol' victory! we pushed the Alliance scum back to their flight master, and even succeded in killing the flight master. I didn't actually see that happen 'cause I had lagged out, but trust me it was great if you don't have a computer that lags when more than five people gather close to you. *Glares at computer*

((It would have been a great event, however the problems with the lag spikes and disconnects that have progressively been getting worse seriously made an issue during this event, at least to the people I talked to. Brakogar...huge kugos. Blizzard....fix the server please. And Sojii, it's not the computer. Clys and I run very strong machines and we don't get a lot of lag at these world-events...until now. The server is having serious issues.))

Server lag was horrendous. At one point it seemed half of our raid group was dc’d. Still was an interesting event. Look forward to another if Blizz gets the server problem squared away.

I was reformatting my PC during the fight, came on around 1AM, Alliance 60s had taken Tarren Mill, but I'm guessing the RP battle was over by then.

((oops, sorry. ))
(( I came, I watched the warping for a while, tried to fight but was unable to discern the actual positions of enemy players, and left. I've never seen such lag, and it wasn't framerate, it was server or network lag, which makes sense considering all the info that's been going on in the tech support forums. Positional data on players wasn't coming through, and so they would appear to run past me multiple times, and warp around on the ground. Needless to say, this made getting behind them for a backstab, or even next to them for simple melee, impossible.
There is definitely something dropping data, severely, and I sure hope they fix it soon because it's ruining good events, and making it hard to play just normal stuff. Heck even chatting is bad, and disconnects are rampant. Bah.
I was disappointed because there was a really big turnout and I was unable to participate.
Oh well, I'm glad that some folks managed to have a good time. Thanks to Brak for thowing the event.

((Yup. Lag quickly stole all the steam from the Decimators. Had all sorts of juicy plans come screeching to a halt. We ended up taking a portal to Org and most of us logged out and found something else to do. Hopefully we get a server upgrade soon and will be able to try for "round 2".))
