View Full Version : Campfire On The Plains

Ulroci
12-24-2006, 12:44 AM
With Solomon off with his mate, Claudia, and cubs; Sugar, Boots, Scoot, and Bandit, Ulroci was alone on this night. The moon was a deeply carved white crescent in the sky above and the stars shone brightly. So brightly, in fact, that there was little use for a fire, but since the breeze even dug through Ulroci's warm fur, he made one anyway for the heat.

As the small flame at his hooves spat, crackled, and breathed softly, Ulroci tossed more small bits of kindling and branches upon it, helping it grow in size.

With a loud 'clink' he tossed his heavy mail shoulders and breastplate off, trying his best to get away from the icy cold metal.

Ulroci began to rub his hands together over the growing blaze, admiring the beautiful, yet savage glow of the thing. Amid his admriation, an itch for company formed in the back of his mind.

"Even Solomon, that untalkative beast, would be a good companion this night. At least he is warm."

Sleep was the last thing on his mind now. He sat with a lonely look on his face and brushed his fingers aimlessly through the soft grasses at his side.

She was a very busy orc. Chikanah Bloodfoot spent most of her time in the wild, but a campfire caught her attention. She saw a Tauren there. Tauren were usually friendly.. maybe he would share?

"Hello, mister," she said brightly.

The young orcess made her way towards him, smelling of pine and sweat. She wasn't the cleanest of hunters, nor was she the most ladylike. She was just.. there.

"What you do our here alone?"

Ulroci
12-25-2006, 10:20 PM
Ulroci spun around quickly at the unexpected voice, but was relieved to find a friendly face moving his way. An orc woman, a hunter presumeably, slowly walking towards the fire and he.

"Oh, hello there," He said with a smile. "I am out here alone because...well, I have no home other than these plains."

For a moment, Ulroci ran his eyes over the young looking orc, drawing in the more subtle features of her person. The shade of her eyes, the color of her hair and the beads of dirty sweat on her body.

"Would you care to share this fire, miss...?" His mind wandered for a moment, trying to place her face with a name. "I do not believe that I know your name..."

Vilmah

"Chikanah!" She said brightly, skipping over to the fire and sitting down on her knees. Her black pigtails shone in the firelight, as did her dark red eyes. "Chikanah Bloodfoot. What's your name, mister?"

Ulroci
12-25-2006, 11:43 PM
He smiled happily at the almost childish glee of his company. "Ulroci-The Silent Poet. You can call me by Ulroci, the latter part is but a formality."

Ulroci began to rummage through his backpack, fidgeting with a large portion of meat before turning around and asking, "Tell me, young Chikanah, what brings you out here so late?"

Vilmah
12-26-2006, 07:03 AM
"Walking."

She warmed her hands by the fire, and took a moment to move a stray hair from her face. Her pigtails were slightly dischevelled. The leather she wore was also torn and stained, mended here and there but not very well. There were bite-marks on her arms and legs.

"Learn about animals here. New to this place. Come from far away. I saw fire, thought might get warm. Might make friends. Why are you alone?"

"Well, miss Chikanah, I am alone this night because my pet is off with his mate and all of my other friends are preoccupied elsewhere."

At long last, Ulroci pulled an iron frame, upon which he sat a large pan. The large piece of lamb he had been handling earlier was placed in the pan and the whole device was placed over the small fire. Soon after, the meat began to sizzle.

"You say that you are new here. On the plains of Mulgore, I presume."

After jostling the pan a bit, he then pulls out a long, flat piece of metal, with which he prods the meat and turns it over.

"These lands are dangerous to travel alone," he said after noticing her bite marks and torn leather armor. "You might consider training a pet of your own, young huntress."

Once the thick slice of sizzling flesh had been thoroughly cooked, Ulroci turned his head to Chikanah and courteously asked, "Are you hungry, m'lady?"

Vilmah
12-26-2006, 11:44 AM
"Eh, no," she said dismissively. "No hungry. Not now. Ate a squirrel earlier."

Studying the older bull, Chikanah cocked her head sideways and pursed her lips.

"You a hunter then? Yes, I new to Mulgore. Working on pet. Not sure what train. Not very good with wolves, see.. too used to wolves from Ashenvale. Ashenvale.. blegh."

She shook her head.

"I glad to be here. Where civilized."

Ulroci
12-26-2006, 04:26 PM
"I am not partial to Ashenvale myself. Far too many elves."

Ulroci turned and sat the pan on a nearby flat stone so that the meat would cool.

"My pet, Solomon, was a native cougar from the nearby plains. I took him in when he was a wee cub. It is a shame what happened to his mother," he said with a frown at the sad memory of that day.

Vilmah
12-26-2006, 04:55 PM
Chikanah stuck her tongue out at the mention of elves.

"I know. Was raised by elves. They give my name. Chikanah. Not clean."

Looking towards the hills, she frowned at his story.

"What happen to cougar mother? Get hunted?"

Kittsu
12-26-2006, 05:14 PM
Kittsu sniffed in the direction of the campfire. She didn't often wander about in Mulgore, but then again, she was a wanderer, and she knew the Tauren lands as well as any other. She could hear a couple of voices, and she detected the scent of two, an orc and a tauren. Kittsu was in panther form, and well hidden. She crept a bit closer to listen.

"I am not partial to Ashenvale myself. Far too many elves," said the bull.

"I know. Was raised by elves. The give me my name. Chikanah. Not clean," replied the orc.

Kittsu giggled inwardly. Should she say hello? Would they be hostile right away, or would they be willing to judge first, attack later. You never knew, these days. Mistress always told her to stay clear of trouble, but she was so bored! And something sure smelled good they were cooking.

She crept a little closer.

Ulroci
12-26-2006, 06:09 PM
"I wouldn't call it hunted, Chikanah. A rather wicked kodo that roamed these plains, Arra'chea, killed her. I witnessed the terrible power of Arra'chea as he headbutted her into a tree and killed her. Only moments later, I found Solomon mewing at his mother's body. My heart would not let me leave the poor cub there, so I took him in, fed him and raised him as my own. He has been my faithful companion ever since that day."

Ulroci reached into his belt pouch and pulled out his intricately carved and painted pipe, already stuffed full of leaf. He reached down, took a small red-hot twig and gave the dried leaves light.

As he puffed on the fragrant plant, he spoke again. "He and I both exacted our revenge on that kodo. His horn now hangs in my father's home." Ulroci looked to the stars and let forth a large cloud of smoke. "You say that you were raised by elves, correct? Did they treat you well? I personally have nothing against them, aside from distaste for their occasionally arrogant ways. However, they, sometimes, find something about me that they do not like. Thus, my avoidance of Ashenvale. It is not the elves that I hate, but their hate for me."

Vilmah
12-26-2006, 06:16 PM
Chikanah frowned at the memory.

"Elfs raze home. I was little.. they kill mama. Papa. They kill all of our animals, and take me away from my brother," she shook her head, sadly. "I stay with them, they try to teach me things. They only teach me that I an orc. Unclean. Untrustworthy. They teach me about animals, and about forest, but punish me for what Warsong do."

She sniffed at the smoke coming from his pipe, and watched it fade into the sky.

"They hate me, but they keep me. Out of hate. I broke away, months ago. I came to the Horde and find my brother. Now.. I just trying to find me."

Ulroci
12-26-2006, 06:52 PM
"I am so sorry, Chikanah," he said after placing a hand on her shoulder. "I would never wish that fate cast on anyone. If there is anything that I can ever do that may ease that pain, let me know."

After taking another long drag from the pipe, his nostrils flared. There was an odd scent in Mulgore that night. He took several deep breaths, trying to define what the odor was.

A foreign beast...a feline...a...panther.

"My friend, there is something strange out in the darkness."

Kittsu
12-26-2006, 07:10 PM
Kittsu, of course, understood and could speak all of the Horde languages. Her long association with Mistress Clys and Danlily had assured that. She nodded inwardly at the words of the tauren. And she grimaced at the words of the orc. Although she herself was a nightelf, most of her own people considered her unclean, warped, evil. She could certainly sympathize with the orc. She carefully gauged the strength of the two, and decided that they were not that much of a danger. She had no wish to harm them, of course. But she was confident of her ability to defend herself should they take things the wrong way.

Her decision made, she let the shadows slip from her, and keeping her panther form, approached the campfire.

"There is something strange everywhere, these days," she purred, as the light of the campfire illuminated her cat's eyes.

Ulroci
12-26-2006, 07:23 PM
Ulroci turned his head to see the panther's eyes. "Ah, and there we are. A panther...but this is not a panther, is it? No rogue beast would simply wander it's way here from the jungle."

He placed his hand on the knife at his hip as he spoke to the cat. "So, newcomer, are you friend or foe?"

Vilmah
12-26-2006, 07:41 PM
Chikana looked at the panther, and recognized it's markings. She was a druid, a night elf. The orcess narrowed her eyes, scrambling away from her as if she would attack at any given moment. There was a sense of regret within her, for not being powerful enough to wring her neck.

Kittsu
12-26-2006, 08:00 PM
"A friend, obviously," Kittsu replied in perfect Orcish. "I just heard you two talking and thought I'd say hello."

Kittsu purred but didn't approach Chikana.

"We're not all the same, you know. I serve Immortalis and Mistress Clys. I have no allegiance to the Kal'dorei. They consider me unclean. Sound familiar?"

Vilmah
12-26-2006, 09:14 PM
She blinked several times. Chikanah hesitatnly nodded. "Yes. Not clean. Green skin, I am. But you are not.."

Kittsu
12-26-2006, 09:30 PM
Satisfied that she was not about to be set upon, Kittsu shifted into her elven form, and smiled.

"Nope, no green skin for me. But yours is quite beautiful, in a rough sort of way. You smell good, too, all piney and sweaty. My mistress Danlily is a huntress. A troll, half blood with a Sindorei. You'd like her. She's crazy."

Kittsu curtsied prettily.

"I'm Kittsu Willows," she said.

Ulroci
12-26-2006, 10:27 PM
Ulroci stood and bowed properly before Kittsu after her introduction. "It is a pleasure, miss Kittsu. I have heard of you from your mistress. She and I have met once or twice before. I am Ulroci-The Silent Poet."

He pushed the knife back into its sheath and his tense body relaxed. "Prithee, miss Kittsu, what brings you to Mulgore?"

Kittsu
12-26-2006, 11:42 PM
"Oooh, you know Mistress Clys? How exciting!" said Kittsu, her eyes wide. "But, how can you be a silent poet? I though poets had to use words?"

Kittsu pressed her lips together and wiggled her body.

"I'm in Mulgore because, well I don't know why. I just was wandering and, here I am! Hey, do you have any picture books? I like naughty picture books."

Ulroci
12-27-2006, 02:42 AM
Ulroci chuckled as he said, "You definetly do know Clys. I am a poet, and I do use words, but I was given that name for my rather timid nature. When I was young, I hardly ever spoke. Thus, my poetic prowess combined with my less than talkative behavior became 'The Silent Poet'."

For a moment, Ulroci's mind ran a few things over and over, trying to get up the nerve to ask a question. Finally, he spat it out. "What sort of...'naughty picture books' do you mean?"

Vilmah
12-27-2006, 08:14 AM
Chikanah looked wearilly at the elf, trying to discern if she should hate her or not. This was one of those purple-skinned monstrosities that kept her in a cage, both physically and not, most of her life. Why shouldn't she want to skin her alive?

Instinctively, she kept her position. She was a hunter of no great skill, with no pet to call her own. She would wait and see, just a little bit longer.

Kittsu
12-27-2006, 09:21 AM
Kittsu's face lit up, and she bounced with excitement, waving her hands about.

"Good ones, with lots of pictures! I especially like the gnome ones, because gnomes look so silly when they fuck!"

She giggled delightedly, casting a glance at Chikanah and beaming a disarming smile at her. She adjusted her pheromone output, consciously shifting some of her body cells to emit an orc-scent, something soothing. Kittsu was a communicator, and she wanted to communicate friendliness.

Ulroci
12-27-2006, 11:09 AM
A devilish smirk crossed Ulroci's face as he dug through his pack again. "Then you may enjoy this one. Lots and lots and lots of pictures...plenty of gnomes too." He presented a thick, leather bound tome topped with silver clasps and upon the cover the words "Kama Sutra" were embroidered in orcish calligraphy.

As his eyes returned to Chikanah, he noticed that her stature and frame were quite tense. Ulroci wanted to say something to calm her, but the words, he could not find.

Vilmah
12-27-2006, 11:13 AM
She smelled something. Something.. familliar. It smelled like Orgrimmar. This was very confusing, because as far as she could see, Chikanah was the only orc here. Looking at the elf skeptically, she watched as Ulroci passed her a book.

"That a funny smell for an elf to have," she said quietly, relaxing her muscles.

Kittsu
12-27-2006, 11:32 AM
Kittsu gasped in surprise and delight, reaching out to take the book. She plopped down immediately upon the grass and began flipping slowly through the pages, her eyes wide and glowing brightly. She always asked about picture books, but nobody ever seemed to actually HAVE one.

She wiggled, unable to fully contain her excitement.

"Oh my gods!" she cried. "Look at THAT!"

Verloran
12-27-2006, 11:45 AM
((Not true! There was that one that Verloran gave you!))

Mulgore was a peaceful place, especially at night. As Verloran wandered through the plains, he let his mind drift. There was so much happening lately, so many complications... it was nice to finally be in a relaxed state of mind. He was on his guard the whole time, watching for any Horde that might try to give him problems, but he was calm about it. He was dressed in only half of his usual battle gear, and he only had one of his two weapons on him.

Verloran reached the top of the hill he was climbing, and looked down. There was a campfire a ways off, with an Orc and a Tauren. The Orc seemed to be in a battle position. Trying to see what she was looking at, Verloran saw a figure in the darkness. Then Tauren handed something to it, and the figure spoke.

He couldn't understand the Orcish, but he'd recognize that voice anywhere. What was Kittsu doing over here? Verloran decided to shadowmeld and watch the scene below him unfold.

Ulroci
12-27-2006, 03:55 PM
He pivoted his head as to see Chikanah fully, "Her scent has changed, Chikanah...of that, there is no doubt."

Ulroci moved towards the elf Kittsu to see what exactly she had cried out about.

Vilmah
12-27-2006, 03:59 PM
Chikanah brought her knees up to her chest, looking discontentedly at the elf. Just like an elf to be confusing, to look like the enemy and smell like a friend. Why couldn't she be more like her big brother Chingaso? He never had trouble killing elves, or so she'd heard.

What -was- this elf looking at in the book that this Tauren had given her?

Something in the back of her head warned Chikanah that she didn't want to know.

Verloran
12-27-2006, 07:31 PM
Verloran used the campfire light to see as much as he could. Kittsu seemed to be looking at a book, and the Tauren was leaning over... probably to see what she had yelled about.

'Must be a picture book' he thought to himself. He chuckled softly as he remembered the one he gave to her that one time... Shorty the Dwarf Gets a Ram. He had found it in the Cathedral of Light, of all places. The one she was looking at now looked to be a lot bigger. No doubt she'd have a lot of fun with that.

Verloran slowly inched his way down the hill, trying to get a better view.

Kittsu
12-27-2006, 09:04 PM
Kittsu held the book up to Ulroci, her finger pointing at the image on the page. In her excitement, a sharp claw had managed to replace her nail, and it scratched slightly on the paper as she pointed.

"Did you know gnomes could get into THAT position?" she chortled gleefully.

Suddenly, Kittsu sat bolt upright, turning her head from side to side and sniffing the air. In an instant, she transformed back into a panther, her nose twitching, her ears pointed out into the darkness, her lips pulled back into a snarl.

Then, as suddenly as she had shifted into catform, she melted back into her elven form, and laughed!

"Shit. It's just Verly," she said to her companions. Raising her voice she shouted, "Verly! Why are you following me? Bad, bad! Mommy will spank!"

She broke into a fit of giggles, and winked happily at Chikanah.

Ulroci
12-27-2006, 10:51 PM
For a moment, Ulroci sat in befuddled silence, wondering what "Verly" meant. Nevertheless, he smile and said, "I did once I read the book, Kittsu. You want to see something even more extraordinary?"

He flipped several more pages into the book, until he found a detailed painting of a male tauren and a very satisfied and apparently squealing female goblin in a missionary position. "Have you ever seen such a thing?"

Vilmah
12-27-2006, 10:56 PM
Chikanah sighed, leaning her chin on her hand while watching Ulroci and Kittsu read a book that she was very sure she wouldn't understand. Something about gnomes.. and she didn't much like gnomes to begin with. She noticed the second elf with a wave of irritation. What were elves doing in Mulgore!?

"Chikanah.. prolly better go. Prolly better be alone."

She stood up and began to make her way back into the mountains.

Kittsu
12-28-2006, 12:01 AM
Kittsu snorted with laughter at the page Ulroci showed her.

"No! I haven't ever seen such a thing!" she said, wiggling her head. She looked up at the movement, and saw that Chikanah was leaving.

"Aw. You're leaving? We didn't even get to chat. See you around?"

Ulroci
12-28-2006, 12:35 AM
"Chikanah, please don't leave..."

Verloran
12-28-2006, 06:59 AM
Verloran blinked. How had he been noticed? He was going to have to work on his sneakiness.

He didn't know what to do, really, but they seemed to be friends of Kittsu's, so he assumed it would be safe to join them. He stabbed his sword into the ground and raised his hands in a sign of peace, just in case.

As Verloran slowly made his way toward the others, he noticed the Orc leaving. 'Great,' he thought, 'I probably scared her off.' It was a shame, too. She was rather pretty for an Orc. Hoping he could bring her back, and again trying to show his peacefulness, he took a small leather ball out of his pack and rolled it to her.

Vilmah
12-28-2006, 08:25 AM
She felt something bump against her foot. Chikanah looked down and saw a leather ball. What the..?

Leaning over to pick it up, she noticed the same male elf she'd smelled before had rolled it to her. The orcess tried hard not to smile, rubbing her fingers over the leather and stitches. She had very little memory about her childhood, but there was something about the ball that brought a sense of de ja vu. As if she should have remembered playing ball before.

With a sigh and a defeated smile, she threw the ball back at the elf.

Laron

((Silly warrior, hiding is for thieves...))

Verloran
12-28-2006, 09:09 AM
Verloran smiled to himself as he caught the ball. It didn't matter what race you were, apparently, throwing a ball around was fun for everyone. He made to run to the side a bit for a better angle, but he slipped on a patch of wet grass and landed face first in the mud.

Vilmah
12-28-2006, 09:16 AM
Chikanah looked at the elf, eyes wide in surprise. She'd never seen an elf fall, before. They were usually such graceful things, and yet.. this one was filthy. Kind of like her.

She took a few steps towards him, and extended a hand. Chikanah's skin was a dark turquoise-ish green, almost blue. She gave the elf the friendliest smile she could, offering her help.

Chingaso
12-28-2006, 09:40 AM
((Chingaso would not approve...))

Vilmah
12-28-2006, 09:41 AM
((Chingaso went SWIMMING with an elf. Half naked. He has no room for judgement.))

Kittsu
12-28-2006, 11:09 AM
Kittsu laughed as Verloran fell in the mud.

"You're always such a dirty boy," she said, waving a hand at him. "At least you brought your balls with you."

She leaned back against Ulroci, cradling the book in her lap, and sniffed.

Verloran
12-28-2006, 11:11 AM
Verloran lifted his head up slowly and spit out a mouthful of mud. He was surprised to see the Orc offering her hand to him, to help him. A lot of Orcs hated Alliance, Elves in particular. He was sure she would have laughed at him, poked at him with her foot maybe... but he never would have expected her to try to help him.

He took her hand and pulled himself back to his feet, smiling his thanks at her. Wiping the mud from his face, he looked around for the ball. He couldn't see it anywhere. He took a careful step in the muddy grass... another...

"Ghah!"

He stepped on the ball, hidden in the mud, and his foot flew out in front of him. The momentum caused him to fall backwards, yet again, in the mud, this time spraying it on the Orc as well as himself.

"This isn't my night..."

Vilmah
12-28-2006, 11:18 AM
Chikanah blinked, her face covered in mud, as well as the entire front of her body. She looked down at the elf, unsure of whether to strike him or laugh at him. She was usually dirty, anyway... but why miss an opportunity?

Picking up a handfull of mud, Chikanah slung it at the elf with a "Hya!" and a grin. If he was so intent on getting them both dirty, she was only too happy to help.

Verloran
12-28-2006, 11:23 AM
Verloran started to get up again when a bunch of mud hit him in the face.

"What in the Nether...?"

He wiped the mud off his face and saw the Orc standing there, grinning. Verloran chuckled, and picked up his own handful of mud.

"If you're going to be that way about it..."

Forgetting about how bad he was at aiming, he threw the mud at her, and watched as it flew right over her head... farther... farther... right into the side of Kittsu's head.

Laron
12-28-2006, 12:05 PM
((Oh do I want to join in the fun, but with who?))

Niethan
12-28-2006, 12:27 PM
Not too far away, a quiet pond was broken by a monstrous splash and the cursing of many ducks. Among them was a much more discernable cursing:

"Ogoun take you, trecharous waterfowl! Know this, that I will hunt you down! VENGEANCE WILL BE MINE!"

Niethan finally stood in the water, dripping lake mud from his aquatic-suited body. His tail thrashed at the still-rippling waters as he shook an impotent fist at the fleeing birds.

Kittsu
12-28-2006, 02:57 PM
Kittsu moved her head aside at the last moment, without appearing to even notice the mud ball that flew past her and landed without even grazing her hair. She flipped a few more pages in the book, giggling and nodding.

She looked up at Ulroci. "Where did you get this!? I want one!" she exclaimed.

Ulroci
12-28-2006, 03:13 PM
He smiled at her and said, "I found this intriguing tome in an ancient, abandoned library. There were a few copies of this same book there. I brought a few along when I left that place, along with a few others. You may have that one, if you like Kittsu."

Kittsu
12-28-2006, 04:17 PM
Kittsu jumped up and threw her arms around Ulroci, dancing in place.

"Oh! Thank you!" she said, taking the book and wrapping it safely in her backpack.

"I better put it away for now, before SOMEONE gets mud on it," she said, turning to glare at Verloran.

Verloran
12-28-2006, 06:08 PM
Verloran chuckled nervously as Kittsu glared at him. He had no idea what she said, but he was sure it had something to do with the mud that had almost hit her.

"Uhh... well, it was her fault you know." He pointed at the Orc. "She started it."

Not too far away, in a pond, he heard someone shouting. As Verloran turned to look, he saw some birds flying away, but it was too dark to make anything else out, so he shrugged it off.

"Sorry about that mud, by the way," he said, turning back to Kittsu. "I'm not as good at aiming this stuff as I'd like to be."

Kittsu
12-28-2006, 06:22 PM
Kittsu shrugs and eyes him, then eyes Chikanah, and gives them both a smirk.

In Common, she says to Verloran, "So, you gonna get you some Orc lovin'? Hmm?"

Verloran
12-28-2006, 07:10 PM
Verloran couldn't help but laugh at this. "Orc lovin'? No, no... I mean, she is rather pretty, for an Orc... but I highly doubt she'd go for anything like that. I'm surprised she's being friendly as it is."

He smiled, then looked around in the mud he had already slipped in twice.

"Now where did that ball go again?"

Vilmah
12-28-2006, 08:17 PM
Chikanah bent over and picked up the ball from the mud, wiping some of it from her eyes before bouncing it in her hand, up and down. She smiled at it slightly, and threw it at Verloran's head.

Ulroci
12-29-2006, 01:03 AM
Ulroci smiled at the other's antics before shaking his head and remembering, "I almost forgot the steak!"

He whipped around to find the meat still steaming on it's pan.

Laron
12-29-2006, 09:39 AM
As Amadare crossed the plains she picks up the smell of cooking meat. Though she usually preferred her meat raw, the chef of this meal had made it smell delectable… Stealthing into the shadows she stalk her prey all the way to the camp. Approaching with her nose to the wind, she makes sure to come up where her scent will not be detected. Something she learned from her father. Crouching in the underbrush, she watches as a Tauren grabs his cooking pan and burns himself. He is not alone, a female Night Elf and and Orc are with him … Sniffing the air…

“Her.”

The one Verloran had told her to track if she found, but that was months ago… Maybe this was why he wanted to keep tabs on her, is she a spy..? Then she hears his voice… A voice she would not mistake for anyone else’s… Verloran. Covered in mud it must have masked his scent. She watches as the Orc throws something and hits him in the head! “He is being attacked!” She thinks to herself as she prepares to pounce then shift into her bear form. But hears him laughing at being his, and throws more mud at the Orc lady. “He is playing?” She relaxes and watches her love play like a young one.

Verloran
12-29-2006, 10:27 AM
Verloran lifted his hands to his face and caught the ball a split second before it would have hit him.

"Hehe... nice try." He winked at the Orc, then turned around to see the Tauren being Mr. Chef with some meat. He sniffed at it. "Steak?" He thought it was rather ironic that a Tauren would be cooking steak, but kept this to himself.

"Kittsu, would you ask him if he needs any help with that? I happen to be a pretty good cook myself."

Kittsu

A sudden shiver ran through Kittsu's body. She knew that feeling -- she was being watched. In a moment, without saying a single word, she had vanished into the grasslands.

Verloran blinked. In that second, Kittsu had vanished.

"Uhh... Kittsu?"

The Night elf female had hid and started to circle around the camp… Amadare could still smell her, but had lost site of the Druid. “Well I should make myself known…” Creeping low to the ground, she got closer and said in Tuarahe. “Greeting master cook.”

Ulroci turned around at the sound of another new voice to see another night elf standing there. Just as the elf spoke in taurahe, so did Ulroci. "Greetings, good sir. What brings you here on this eve?"

((Feminine voice dear. =o) but that's okay.))

"I smelled the wonderful meal being cooked, and decided to say hello, but I see you have already have guests." Walking over to the Night elf, who is covered in mud and kisses him on the cheek. "Should I go get more meat my dear?" She says as she wipes the mud from her lip. Sniffing the air, she looks in the direction of the other female Druid "You can tell your friend she can come out now." With that she shifts back into her cat and heads off to find more meat.

Verloran blinked for a moment, hearing Amadare's voice.

"Amadare?" She kissed him on the cheek.

"Should I get more meat my dear?" Before he could respond, she shifted to her cat form and ran off.

"Uhh... you can come out now Kittsu... it's just Amadare..." Where did she come from? No, it didn't matter... she was here, and that was good enough.

He looked over at the Orc, hoping the arival of yet another elf hadn't put her off.

"Ah, you may have the whole of the meal, should you desire it. I was planning to cook myself something, but I place guests before myself."

((I will assume this happened before yesterday… :( ))

Returning, Amadare drags a large Plains Strider by its limp neck. Returning to her two leg form, she wipes the blood from her face and kneels down.

[Taurahe] “We thank you Earth Mother for providing us with this gift, so that we may live. We ask that Elune be gracious enough to guild it’s spirit to the Twisting Nether, and help speed the transition to the next life.”

Raising her head she starts to field dress the animal and carve pieces to be cooked.

Turning to face the Troll with an instinctive growl, Amadare quickly realizes just how silly she must seem standing with an Orc and a Tauren and growling at a Troll. Blushing deeply, she bows in apology.

[Taurahe] Master Cook, I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name. Do you want to explain the Earth Mother to him in his native tongue? I am not well versed in Trollish.”

Ziljudan

Ziljudan excepts the apology " im comfortable in any language although orcish would be good enough"

He nods to the elf and says, "It is Ulroci, m'lady."

Ulroci clears his throat and speaks to the troll in orcish, "The Earthmother is our goddess of bounty and protector of the nature. She is the guardian of the tauren people and power to the shamans. Unlike the majority of the other gods, she is kind and merciful."

Blushing once again. "Oh I am terribly sorry, My name is Amadare Redthorn." Bowing graciusly, she tries to remember her manors. "It is a pleasure to meet you all." The taste of the plainstrider still fresh in her mouth, causes her to shift back into her cat form. Walking over to eat some of her kill before it gets cold.

Verloran looks around and laughs a bit. I'm going to have to learn Orcish or something...

Ulroci gazes at Verloran for a moment, then speaks in troll, "Do you speak orcish?"
