Zamji took a long sip from his mug, and looked over at the short, green skinned goblin sitting across from him at the table. Outside, birds chirped as the sound of waves gently lapped up against the gangplanks set up all over the port city of Booty Bay. "So then I said to him 'I don't care if you’re the trade prince, I'm not giving you these crystals!' "

"Yeah, sure Gordik" Zamji said, humoring the small goblin. Gordik looked over at him, taking note of his obvious boredom.

"Ok, so it never really happened" Gordik said reluctantly "But it sure makes for a great story. Anyways, what's your plan for the day?"

"I don't know" Zamji said after some thought, "I kinda thought relaxing for a day would be nice."

"No, no, no, no, that won't do" Gordik replied quickly, "Hey, I think I've got a job for you, if you’re interested." Zamji perked up at the mention of a job. He was low on money and Gordik always paid well for the little errands he sent Zamji out on. "And what's that job?" Zamji asked.

They stood on the hill, looking over the stone buildings, and the bustling figures below. "So wait, you want me to go down there, kill some of those Bloodscalps, and bring you the tusks?" Zamji asked, a little suspicious.

"Yeah, you won't imagine how many people think they're actually the ivory tusks of Kodos, and they pay full dollar for it." Gordik said, smiling and licking his lips. "Now go down there and kill them, shouldn't be any challenge for an adventurer of your caliber."

"I don't know," Zamji said reluctantly as he looked down at the troll village. He turned to Gordik, "Wouldn't it just be easier to gather some Kodo horns?"

"Naw, those damned Kodos are too rare, and they often have cracked horns from all that fighting they do with each other. Just trust" Gordik responded with a smile.

"The last time I trusted you, you almost got us both killed" Zamji smirked.

"Bah, what’s the worse that could happen?" Gordik said, prodding Zamji forward, "Just do it. For the Horde and all that jazz right?"

"Fine" Zamji sighed, pulling out his dagger and shield, "I'll do it. But you owe me big time for this."

"Yeah, whatever," Gordik said under his breath after Zamji had trudged off, "You won't be around long enough for me to pay you." And with that he turned around and hiked off, walking back towards Booty Bay

Zamji walked gingerly over to the troll village, careful not to get noticed by the people living inside. He looked over one of the stone walls into the village, and saw a patrol of trolls walking down the dirt path that ran thru the center of the village. "Better take them out first" he whispered to himself, and he prepared to battle them, placing several totems on the ground and getting ready to deliver a lightning bolt into the group. Suddenly he heard a sound from behind him and turned to see a troll aiming a bow at him, and a panther charging towards him.

The panther lunged at Zamji just as the troll loosed his arrow. Zamji put his shield up quickly, intercepting the panther mid flight, and he released his earth magic upon the troll, delivering a powerful shock into his chest. The troll was knocked back a little from the impact, but quickly regained his composure and loaded another arrow. Zamji dived out of the way as the arrow flew towards him, and landed on the ground on his stomach. He turned around to see the panther charging at him, and he thrust his dagger forward, catching it in the face. The panther fell back, and ran off into the forest before its mortal wound caught up to it and it fell to the ground.

Zamji got up quickly, ready to fight the troll. But before he could react he heard a large TWANG from behind him, and a searing pain crossed over his back. He grimaced and turned towards the direction the pain had come from, and saw the troll notching another arrow. He threw his shield up, catching the arrow with it, and charged forward. The troll drew a long and nasty looking knife and ran forward to meet Zamji's charge. Zamji thrust his dagger forward, delivering a blow to the troll's arm. He ducked down to avoid the troll's wild thrust, and sent his dagger flying forward again, hitting the troll in the stomach. The troll fell back, grasping his stomach, and falling to the ground. Zamji calmly walked over and released another shock of earth power, ceasing the troll's movements forever.

Zamji sighed at the sight of the troll's body, and started to turn back towards the village when another slice of pain ran up his back. He felt around gingerly before he found the embedded arrow. With a deep grimace on his face, he tore the arrow out of his back, and quickly placed a hand on the wound. He concentrated on sending healing magic into the wound, and soon his hand glowed with a deep green, sealing the wound up. He sighed again, ad bent down to collect the tusks. He felt a sudden sharp crack on the back of his head, and all went black.

The deep, hard thud of his body hitting the bottom of the bamboo cage awoke Zamji from his slumber. His eyes darted open, pupils shrinking to accommodate for the sun. He looked up to see the green canopy of trees sprawling above his head. “Ugh” he said to himself, trying to clear his mind. “Damnit, the trolls got me,” he said to himself. He looked at the cage made of bamboo reeds, with a large iron lock on the cage door. He looked down at himself. He was wearing a pair of cloth pants, and that was it. “Where’s my armor?” he said to himself franticly.

“Oh don’t worry, I’ve taken care of your armor” came a familiar voice as a small green goblin stepped out of the shadows. Zamji’s eyes widened as he recognized the diminutive figure. “Gordik? What?” He said, at a loss for words.

“Well as you probably know Zamji, I love my money. I think I’ve told you before that I would do anything for money. Well, I finally found a get rich quick scheme that would work, and unfortunately it was at your expense. You see, your armor and weapons are very magical, and if there’s one thing true about magical items, it’s that they make a killing on the black market. So I figured if I acquired your items, then I could get very rich very quick. Its nothing personal, just business really.” Gordik said with a hungry look in his eyes.

“So wait, you bonked me on the head when I was fighting the trolls?” Zamji said, scratching the goose egg that had risen up on his head from where the blow had been struck.

“By the Light, no. I’m not a brute Zamji; I hired an Alliance warrior to do it for me. You see, Willis here” he said, pointing at a human dressed in heavy plate mail and wielding a very large mace, “Was quite happy to knock you out and lock you in a cage. For a fee of course, but still, it was nothing compared to what I’m about to earn thanks to you.”

“So what happens now?” Zamji asked, glaring at the goblin, “You leave me in a cage and sell my stuff?”

“Oh no, I’m going to let Willis take care of you in whatever way he sees fit. And now Zamji, I bid you good day” And with that, Gordik ran off into the forest, leaving Zamji behind with Willis. Willis looked at Zamji anxiously, and walked over to him with a smirk. He grabbed a hold of the cage and pulled it behind him, eyes looking ahead at some unseen destination. Zamji’s mind raced, what was he going to do? He looked at the warrior unceremoniously dragging his cage to some unknown doom, and a plan started to develop in his mind. His gaze turned to the ground, searching for a suitable piece of earth with which to act out his plan. He spotted a nice rock, with a sharp edge as far as rocks go, and he quickly plucked it from the ground. He whispered an incantation over it, and soon it glowed an earthy green.

And with that he started working, chipping away at one of the bamboo reeds that made up the cage. The clueless warrior continued pulling him along while Zamji worked, chipping away at the reed. Soon he had almost broken through, when the warrior stopped. They had arrived at the sea. The warrior looked out into the vast less blue with a shine in his eyes, and then continued pulling the cage right up to the water edge. With that Willis picked up the cage, and tossed it with all his might into the sea. Zamji was jostled around as the cage hit the surface of the water and sunk fast. He quickly acted, chipping away at the bamboo reed even harder than before. Just as his breath was waning he broke the reed and quickly swam towards the surface. His lungs expanded as he gulped down the salty air.

He swam back to the shore, amazed at just how far the warrior had thrown him. He walked out of the ocean, soaked and chilled to the bone, but he continued along towards civilization. He had no idea where he was, but he was determined to find someone and ask. He soon came upon someone, but it wasn’t exactly who he was looking for. He saw Willis sitting in front of him, chewing happily on a sandwich. His blood broiled, and only when he clenched his fist did he realize that he still had the stone in his hand. He swiftly cast another enchantment on it and prepared for his surprise attack on Willis.

He charged up a lightning bolt in his hand before releasing it upon the witless warrior. The human turned just in time to see a second lightning bolt strike him in the chest, and a shock of flame light his clothes on fire. The rapid succession of the attacks left him clueless, and it took him quite a while to realize Zamji had charged at him. The heavy blow from the rock against his head brought him to his wits, and he quickly raised his mace and swung. Zamji ducked under the massive blow and struck the human in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him. The warrior let loose an overhead swing, smashing Zamji square in the back and driving him to the ground. Zamji loosed a shock of earth; damaging the warrior and knocking him back long enough for Zamji to jump to his feet again. He swung again, hitting the human in the head, breaking his open, and dropping him to the ground. Zamji stooped over his body, picked up his mace, and walked on, looking for civilization.

Soon he came upon a dirt path, and a sign next to it had an arrow pointing south, with the words “Booty Bay, five miles” etched into the wood. Zamji sighed with relief, and soon changed his body into that of a wolf, and charged off towards his revenge.
--------------------
Zamji saw the large, bleached jaw of the shark from a distance, and he rushed towards it. The goblins guarding the door looked at him with wide eyes and shouted “Wolf! Get it!” charging at him and wailing their clubs. Zamji retreated back from their powerful blows, transforming back into his troll shape. The goblins stopped instantly, sighing with relief. “Oh hey, we thought you were a wolf. But your only a…” they stopped, looked at each other, and shouted, “Troll! Get it” and continued their chaotic attack.

Zamji quickly shouted at them “Stop! I’m with the Horde!” and this caused the goblins to cease their attack. The goblins face turned red (or whatever color a goblin’s face turns when it blushes) and said “Terribly sorry sir, go ahead in.” Zamji sighed, walking into the port and rubbing several new welts that had appeared on his body. He quickly spotted the store he wanted, and continued towards it, his eyes glowing with anger.

He knocked on the large wooden door that had the words “Gordik’s Pawn Shop” on it. He heard a shuffling from behind the door, before it swung open with Gordik looking up and saying “Wha-“. He recognized the visitor mid sentence, and tried to slam the door shut, but Zamji caught it and forced his way in.

The goblin looked up at him “Um Zamji, what are you doing here, you’re supposed to be dead.” Zamji glared at him, drawing the mace, grabbing Gordik’s collar, and saying gruffly “You’re coming with me.” He pulled the goblin out the door, and along the sprawling gangplanks, before dumping him into the water and jumping in himself. He grabbed the goblin again, and started swimming out to sea, the goblin in tow. “Zamji, where are we going?” Gordik’s voice quivered as he spoke.

“To Janeiro’s Point, I have a friend I want you to meet” Zamji replied gruffly. After a long swim they reached the shore of the small island and Zamji threw Gordik into the sand. “Mok’rash!” he called out defiantly, “I have a little piece of candy you might enjoy.” Gordik looked up with him, his eyes full of fear. “Who is Mok-“ he started to ask, but his question was answered by a booming voice that grew louder as if its creator was getting closer “you dare come to my island?”

Zamji jumped back and started a long swim back to Booty bay just as a large, green skinned sea giant emerged from the other side of the island and rushed at Gordik, who franticly tried to rush away. Zamji turned away and kept swimming. He winced when he heard the loud, shrill scream of a goblin and the crunch of a giant’s mouth closing, but that wince was quickly replaced by a smirk as he continued swimming.
