New Research ideas

As a result of my studies of the Guild called “The Swordwaltzers” and the role they played in the permanent removal of one of The Crimson Lord’s most able field agents, the rogue Yomi, I stumbled across a reference to what may be a new source of incredible arcane power.

“Punky Power”

What is it, and can it be harnessed by The Crimson Watch?

From what little information I have gathered from my goblin contacts, this “Punky Power” is somehow related to the Swordwaltzer known as Punky Brewsprocket. Somehow this little gnome warrior has tapped into this “Punky Power”. I must discover more.

Is it possible that “Punky Power” is accessible thru some feat of engineering? With the gnomish penchant for all things mechanical, this is a possibility that cannot be ignored.

Since I have not heard of any other gnomes having this power, I can reasonably assume that it is not a racial trait.

Can this power be harnessed in a potion form for consumption by others?

Yes indeed. This does call for more investigation.

I had a stroke of good luck yesterday. As I was leaving the offices of Dr Herbert Halsey (a member in good standing of the Royal Apothecary Society) after a pleasant afternoon discussion of the uses of potions vs poisons, I over heard a most interesting story.

It seems that there is a Tauren druid that had an encounter with this Punky Brewsprocket in Ashenvale. From the accounts told in this story, the druid came out of the encounter the worse for wear. I must find him and see what information I can gather from him.
What kind of energy is this “Punky Power”?? I am getting very intrigued.

I found the Tauren I was looking for. He was so shaken by his encounter with “Punky Power” that he says he is turning in his shapeshifting for a hoe and becoming a farmer. A Farmer?!?! What could frighten a 450 pound Tauren in the prime of his life so badly that he would wish to become a farmer?? I must find out.


As a side note, the Tauren also says that as he lay mortally wounded, he saw Punky Brewsprocket release a small praire chicken. A chicken. Hmm…..Is it possible that this Punky Brewsprocket knows about the power of the chicken? I have not found any of my old master’s research or his spell books, but has Punky? If so, I cannot let The Great Gonzo’s notes remain in gnomish hands.

It looks like I may have to venture outside of my laboratory to find my answers.
