Hello there. The Tribes of Kalimdor are members of a special RP-PVP project on Twisting Nether. We are role-players who have split into two different guilds:

Alliance: Rangers of Kalimdor
Horde: Nomads of Warwind

These nomadic groups feuded during the third war and continue their attacks to this day while hiding from the established powers on Kalimdor. We have a very restrictive style of play including:
1. No cloth-wearer classes.
2. No gnome, no undead.
3. No Auction House usage - ever.
4. No visiting of Stormwind, Ironforge, Orgrimmar or Undercity; though exceptions can be granted for class and profession training that can only be gotten there.

We share a website and vent channel and coordinate our two guilds to further the storyline between them. If you are interested in rerolling and joining us, please see our website at:

Alliance currently has slightly more people than Horde, but roll whichever side you like. Also, there are still leadership positions available for those with role-playing experience.

EDIT: We currently have our level limit set at 24, so you can still easily catch up to us. We tend to level slowly anyway.

Take care all,

Sowell Moonrage

What's wrong with cloth wearers? Or Gnomes for that matter?

I'm not sure about gnomes, but I'd wager a guess on why cloth wearers aren't allowed. Clothies tend to be of the more 'learned' professions, ones that require study and by association, a city in which to study. The same reasons that Tauren can't be any of the Cloth wearing classes (rural/tribal/nomadic culture). I'm sure you could argue no-gnomes based on that same premise, but then I've always wanted to play a feral leper gnome who was rescued as a baby and raised by troggs... well, maybe not.

Anyhow, it sounds like a fun idea! Good luck!

Uhmm... those are compelling and acceptable arguments.

Okay, so what about the wandering priest archetype?

Sul bears a point... what about those who were educated, but turned and shunned the lifestyle of luxury to wander and live in the wild? I guess maybe so no one can claim intellectual superiority... but hey, it's all IC, and to play the intellectual wanderer as it should be played, they have to be humble of their abilities and not want those to set them apart.

Edit: This still excludes undead, warlocks, and gnomes, as those can be seen as abominations of nature. Well maybe not gnomes so much, but no gnome is going to abandon their intellectual ways.

Sulajins point reminds me both of the movie Holy Man, and Nouri. heh.

...anyhow, welcome to twisting nether. I think I welcomed one of your Tauren members while on my druid.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

The no cloth rule was based on many reasons. The first was noted already, that cloth-wearers tend to be city folks and not the rugged outdoorsmen surviving in the wild. Mages and warlocks in particular didn't fit the story well. Also, PvP between our two guilds is frequent and so much more fun without the boring caster "stuns" that blizzard had to put in so that cloth-wearers weren't destroyed in two or three hits. Imagine PvP without warlock/priest fear, seduce, polymorph and frost nova. It's quite fun. Finally it presents more of a challenge when running instances. We have to rely on druid healing, for example, and get very little crowd control.

Anyway, we're still fairly low level - about 24 at the highest, so if others want to join us feel free.
