High Sorceror Andromath was found dead in the Wizard's Sanctum this morning by one of his adepts. The two guards stationed at the base of the tower have yet to be found and are wanted for questioning, although experts predict that they are likely dead as well.

Andromath is believed to be the most powerful mage outside of Dalaran. He has been a vital resource for the Alliance, from helping to devise strategies against magical attacks against the city to taking time out of his busy schedule to help train some of Stormwind's brightest young mages. His death will be a significant blow to the Alliance's studies of the arcane if he is unable to be revived. Sources say that Archbishop Benedictus himself has vowed to not rest until the High Sorceror is resurrected.

The adept who found him told the Stormwind Times in an exclusive interview: "It was horrifying! It was as if someone had ripped him open and eaten his heart! And the blood! By the time I had found him, it had congealed into the cracks between the tiles. I don't know if that stain will ever be able to be removed." The adept went on to say that apparently some pidgeons or other birds left footprints in the blood. The birds were not in the tower when the police arrived, and the adept said that he had never seen birds in the tower before.

The Stormwind Police Force officially refused to speculate as to the identity of suspects. Off the record we were able to get a few to suggest that it may have been a Horde assassin, or possibly even a nefarious Defias plot to weaken the city.

Citizens with information about this murder are asked to speak with detectives as quickly as possible. Those wishing to donate to the "Find Andromath's Killer Fund" are asked to talk to any guard on duty throughout the city.

Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker concentrated, focusing the light, bending it, calling into the nether realm. Sweat built up on his forehead, until a large enough drop coalesced and rolled down his nose onto the prone form of the former High Sorceror.

"Remember to breath, Grayson."

Grayson gasped, sucking air into his lungs. "His spirit is not answering the call, Benedictus".

Benedictus nodded. Absentmindedly he stroked his beard, staring down at the corpse. "Thank you for trying, Grayson. You may leave now."

Grayson looked over at the Archbishop. They both knew why he wasn't reviving, no need to vocalize the diagnosis. "Demon or warlock?" He asked softly.

Benedictus scowled at Grayson. "I said you may leave. Now."

Grayson nodded and left the small laboratory.

From a small alcove a thin figure shook off the shadows, revealing himself to the light. "Orders, my Lord?"

"Tell SI:7 to get a body double here, immediately. Once the replacement is stationed, let that fool Stormwind Times reporter know, so he can report that the High Sorceror is back to work.

The agent nodded and vanished.

Anadil's stomach growled loud enough to wake him up. Without opening his eyes, he squinted against the bright late morning sunshine. Disoriented, he opened them just long enough to see his rented apartment decor. The light sent daggers of pain directly into his brain, and he groaned outloud.

Once that pain faded into a dull throbbing ache, Anadil became aware of another sensation: that of being fully aroused. While waking up "saluting" wasn't an unusual occurrence in any man's life, this was different. He felt like he had doubled in size overnight, and just the gentle motion of his robe moving as he breathed was heavenly.

His thoughts drifted to Lovely, the paladin he had met two days ago. She had unnaturally white hair and pale skin. She rode a magnificent white horse and wore the tabard of the Argent Dawn. She had haunted eyes more fragile than the most intricate of elvish crystal. Anadil grinned despite his headache.

But she wasn't Teelia. Anadil frowned.

Teelia, the rogue that had found him lost in Ashenvale. Befriended him. Welcomed him into her guild and introduced him to her friends. Friends he now counted as the best friends he had ever had. The woman he would never have, but loved desperately.

Or did he?

He sat up in bed and rubbed his eyes. Rough, sticky wool scratched against the skin of his face. Surprised he looked down, and realized he hadn't changed out of his fighting gear. Did he drink too much last night? He closed his eyes and tried to remember, but couldn't.

Sticky?

He looked down at his hands again, forcing his eyes to focus. They were soaked in dried blood.

"What the...?" he cried, and jumped out of bed. The blood in his veins filled with adrenalin and then shrank from his extremities, all thoughts of pleasure gone. Wide-eyed, he looked around for some clue to this mystery, but with the exception of his gloves, the rest of his garments held only their normal daily buildup of dust.

Where had he been last night? He remembered helping some of the denizens of Southshore with murloc and mountain lion problems, and then he'd returned to the inn there, and then...?"

How had he gotten from Southshore to Stormwind, and whose blood was on his gloves?

ANDROMATH RESSURECTED!!!

The headline was splashed across the Times coverpage. Nouri read through the article. Seemed the Archbishop himself was able to ressurect the Archmage.

"Well, maybe now they will be able to find out more about the killers. Strange, they are keeping this really hush hush. "
