Laron

As the sun starts to peak the mountain tops, Laron’s Griffon comes to a rough landing. Obviously it didn’t want to fly as much as Laron didn’t want to ride. Arriving back in South Shore, he is relieved to see that that Horde had left the town to be… for now…

Walking in the inn, he sees Azrid sitting at a table by himself… Before he makes his presence known, he takes a quick surveillance of the bar. Dwarf, probably warrior, Pair of Night Elves, one probably a Druid, the other… Watch her… Then back to Azrid. No pet, odd for him, and what is wrong with his eyes? “Oh Elune, no… His eyes are yellow… Forsaken… No…” He slides his dagger up his sleeve and readies to meet his Brother.

As he approaches from behind, Azrid, who continues to drink from his glass seemingly unaware until he sniffs the air. “It’s about time…” He says to Laron without looking at him. Laron comes out of hiding and shakes his brother’s hand, making sure to feel the warmth of his flesh, and… a pulse. “Thank Elune.” He thinks to himself as he sits at the table.

“So what is this about Brother? I wrote Tillna… She is dangerous Azrid… I’m not real happy I had to blow my cover with her, but if she is friendly, then we will see.” He states as he sits forward, keeping an eye on the shifty looking Night Elf. Azrid Looks around, and leans in closer and whispers, “I met her in the woods… and…” He blushes slightly, as he leans back into his chair.

Laron is set beside himself… “My little shy brother… Who all his life has had a problem even talking with girls…” A grin spreads acrossed Laron’s face. “So that is why you need to learn the speech…” He looks around to make sure no one is watching as he opens his pack and pulls out a leather bound book. The same book his good friend Nojinbu had given him, when he was learning. Looking again, he sets it on the table and slides it over to him. “I believe that is the text in which you seek.” He says not taking his eyes off the two Night Elves at the bar. Azrid takes the book and starts to open it, when he is kicked from under the table by Laron. With a quick glance from his stealthy brother, he puts the book away and tries to act as though nothing had happened, but he is bad at it…

Just then he can hear the town bell… the guards yelling outside… South Shore was under attack, again… Azrid starts to jump up, when Laron puts his hand on his arm. “You don’t’ want any part of that Brother. The people who attack this town are very experienced, and I’m sure your new interest would be pretty upset if you were to perish in defense of this little town.” Smiling at Azrid he fades into the shadows and heads out the door. Laron has someone at home as well, who would hate to see him die over a little town like this…

Amadare received a letter written to her, on the outside it says:

Bring this to Laron and Najme, then open it.
Sitting at his kitchen table with Laron and Najme, she fidgets wondering what was so important that Azrid had to write them and be together to read it..? Amadare had noticed something different about Najme… Maybe she changed her hair… Her scent had changed… She couldn’t put her finger on it, but with this news from Azrid she didn’t dwell on it too much.

“Well we are all here, so open it Laron…” She said as she taps her nails on the table.

Opening it Laron starts to read aloud.

Laron, Najme and Ama,

I have good news and possibly bad…

The good news is that I met a wonderful woman to be my mate. It is the woman we spoke of Laron. For Ama and Najme, she is a wonderful Troll named Tillna Bloodscalp. She has beautiful read hair, and soft blue skin. More good news… I was told last night. I am to be a father. I do not know what we are going to do, but we intend to raise our child, away from the conflicts of this non-war. So Laron, Ama and Najme, you are going to have a niece or nephew.

Now for the bad. The way I met her was bad. Ebon has died, she was killed by a Worgen. I would have been killed as well, if not for Tillna saving me. I did, however, contract Lycanthropy, but not from a mindless one, from Tillna cleaning my wounds.

Please do not worry for me. I am at ease in the forest, and should have no troubles staying there at night. I just wanted my entire family to know all the news, good and bad.

Your brother,
Azrid
Laron sets the letter down and not saying a word, walks out on the porch. Amadare starts to get excited about the news of her brother having a baby, but stops as she sees Laron walk out the front door. She looks at Najme with questioning eyes.

Najme smiled camly at Amadare.

"Don't worry," she said, standing. "I'll go cheer him up."

She didn't give Amadare a chance to respond as she followed Laron out the front door. Putting an arm around his waist, she leaned her head against the elf's chest.

"Something wrong?" She asked.

He doesn’t turn to her, just stares out in the fog of the Loch. “I must have done something terrible, to deserve this mockery by the gods… How long have I tried to have a child? And my brother… My brother of all people, has sex once… Once…” He trails off. Holding her hands, he says softly.

“I’m sorry.”

Najme sighed. She'd wanted to make this special, but she figured, why not? This was special. This was perfect.

"I'm sorry too, darling. I'm sorry I couldn't give you a baby... would you settle for two?"

His ears perked up, as he tries to comprehend what she just said. “What? What did you say?” Turning to face her, he looks at her stomach “Did you say two?” Larons knees go weak, as he stares at Najme, with confused eyes. “You mean… Oh dear, when did you… I mean we…”

Najme smiled and put a hand to Laron's face, trying to comfort him.

"When? Your guess is as good as mine. Do you think we made it to one hundred, like Jobolg suggested? I lost count around seventy three..."

She chuckled a bit and kissed his chin.

"Here's hoping this doesn't mean you'll stop pretending to try," she said with a wink.

Lifting her up off her feet in a hug, he says excitely. “Two? Are you sure? Wait… how long have you known… You sly little… I guess some of me is rubbing off on you…” Setting her down he kisses her on the neck, moves to her ear to whisper and gives her a wink. “And I will keep “trying” as long as you are able to.” Hugging her, he says, “Did you tell Ama?”

Najme shook her head.

"No, I wanted it to be a surprise.. and yes, two. You'd be surprised at the sort of things the Light can help me detect, then again, I'm a bit surprised you didn't notice yourself. I think I've put on a little.." She said, frowning at her chest.

“I had, but I just figured you were just happy.” Kneeling down, he looks at her stomach and places his ear to her. “Can you tell who they are?” As he kneels his ear to her stomach, extending up to her chest, Amadare comes out, to see what he is so excited about. Walking out the door it hits her “Duhh! Her scent changed… That is what was different.” She walks up and before Laron can say anything, she kneels with him, placing her ear on Najme’s stomach as well the both of them listening to things that can’t be heard yet…

Najme stood still, frozen at the spot from embarassment. "I-It's a little early for that, you two! I'm barely over a month in..

She giggled as their long ears tickled her stomach, and put her hands on their heads and pat them both gently.

"Just be grateful for my good mood, now. I probably won't be so cheery when I have to carry two of your long-legged children at once.. goodness Laron, think you could have been a bit less efficient?"

Laron

Smirking at her as he stands to hold her from behind. “Well… When you put your mind to something… Thank you…” He says looking up to the sky. “I guess you are going to have a bunch of children to play with soon Ama.” She stands up and hugs them both, with such happiness. I always wanted to be an Aunt. Auntie Ama…” She says as she slips up onto the porch wall. “So you know it is two? Wow! Just like Vendella had twins…” She trails off still sour from last nights events. Laron is so happy, as he wonders what the future will hold for these three children.
