The demi-god Omen was a being of great strength and knowledge. Blessed by Elune, Omen wandered primordial Kalimdor, guiding hunters and gatherers and offering luck and advice to all he met. When the Burning Legion launched their attack, Omen allied with Azeroth's defenders. Omen fought bravely, but after many battles, his wounds from demonic forces plunged him into a deep, dreaming sleep... where fel-inspired nightmares slowly consumed him. When he finally awoke, centuries later, he had fallen to madness.
The transformed Omen rampaged. No longer a creature of wisdom - but still possessing the strengh of Elune's blessing - he tore through the land, killing and devouring. Terror rode before him, and death trailed in his wake.
Omen's spree of horror ended when a coterie of ancient heroes gathered in the village of Nighthaven and faced the beast. They called down the moon's wrath and Omen, blinded and stunned by the power of the moon goddess, fled into the deep waters of Lake Elune'ara. That day marked the end of his rampage, and symbolized a new beginning for the people of Azeroth, and the followers of Elune.
Omen remains in Lake Elune'ara. Although driven insane by the Burning Legion, the demi-god still possesses Elune's blessing and is, hence, immortal. During the Lunar Festival, he stirs... and heroes of the land are called to defeat him once again...
*Rashi laid at her master's feet, listening to the words he spoke. Not long ago, Taivena had visited the tavern, carrying a freshly written book about the ancient beasts of the world. Rashi vaguely remembered growling at the woman but went quiet after a harsh glare from Silas. Now, lazing in front of a warm fire, she heard the prophet's voice as he translated the common words into elven just for her.*

Tysti byrn, Rashi. *Silas closed the book, getting to his feet. Standing up, Rashi stretched and yawned before following her master out the door into Goldshire. Padding softly behind him, Rashi watched as the prophet gathered the Ministers. Picking up pace, she followed them as they left the tavern, heading towards Moonglade. No stranger to Moonglade, Rashi quickly ran off, jumping into the cool lake water, swimming around, trying to catch fish with her mouth. Unsuccessful, she left the water, running back to her master.
Laying at his feet, Rashi watched as portals opened all around and more people showed up. Dressed in plate and leather armor, the newcomers wandered around, gathering reagents, sharping their blades, and gathering strange looking candles.
Tali thys, Rashi. *Silas's words reached her ears. Looking up, she took a few steps back. Her body began glowing as the fur retracted into her skin. Changing forms was never painful but Rashi didn't like the idea so many people were watching. Within seconds, she was a night elf with long blue hair and yellow eyes. After putting on some heavy leather armor, Rashi was handed one of the strange looking candles. Carrying it carefuly, she followed Silas across the lake to where more people had gathered. Sitting down on the grass, she listened to people shouting orders, watched several run around, or just shoot off the annoyingly loud fireworks nearby.
Shi eisi kyl sai thol ostael, Rashi! Shi vaedia! *Rashi stared at Silas as he told her they were going to fight Omen. Getting to her feet, she shook her head, scared of what was to happen. Seeing this, Silas told her to stick close to him and all would be fine. Moments later, screams and shouts rose up as the Minions of Omen appeared from thin air. Harsh growls and snarls filled the air, blood splattered on the grass as the fight began.
Holding her candle, Rashi aimed it at one of the minions. The candle came to life as a flame shot off the end towards the wolf as the unprepared girl fell backwards from the force. Getting to her feet again, Rashi tried again, this time remaining on her feet. As the last of the minions were taken down, a loud shout came from near the lake for Omen had been awakened.

*The massive two headed dog-demon quickly tore into the unprepared. Holding her candle, Rashi managed to get a few more flames fired off. Blood soon covered the once green grass as the demon proved to be quite the challenge. All around her, people were casting spells, throwing blades, or firing off candles. The screams of the dying filled her ears as Rashi retreated for safety. Using her candle combined with spells of nature, Rashi did her best in aiding the people of Moonglade and her master. Omen's loud roar filled her ears, the bright light from the candles blinded her eyes, and the smell of blood filled her nose as the night wore on.

*Fighting alongside the prophet and those who had gathered, Rashi watched as the great dog-demon was finally taken down. Cheers of victory rose up as many celebrated. A great light appeared around the fallen demon's body, the Blessing of Elune. Walking into the light, Rashi felt a strange tingling sensation as she was blessed by this Goddess. Shaking it off, Rashi shifted back into her familiar cat form. Following at the heels of Silas, they ended up back at the Lunar Festival where humans danced, gnomes laughed, Night elves sang, and dwarves drank till their hearts content. Laying down, Rashi silently groaned at the loud noise. Thank goodness this only came once a year...
