View Full Version : Karnia's Journey to Tarren Mill ((OPEN RP))

It was the normal hustle and bustle of the early evening crowds of the Undercity trade district. Forsaken hawking their wares, and every manner of horde warrior milling around. The cries of the auctioneers could be heard drifting from the corridors. It seemed a normal evening for everyone.
Except one…
Karnia sat dejectedly leaning against a wall near the inn, her many packs gathered around her feet. She had gotten off the zeppelin yesterday morning and had wanted nothing more than a hot bath, a cup of coffee and a snuggly bed. She managed to find the Undercity inn pretty fast, but several things were wrong. They didn’t have any BEDS for starters. There were just coffins lined up in a row along the wall. She couldn’t sleep in a coffin!! And the woman just laughed at her when she asked for coffee. The putrid stench that seemed to lie over the entire city stopped her from even bothering to ask about a bath.
She had decided to just make a push on to Tarren Mill then, maybe they had better lodgings. But when she mentioned her destination it gave the innkeeper pause, she ceased her cackling and looked Karnia over from head to foot.
“You won’t make it there; the shortest route from here is a shortcut through the Alterac Mountains. The bears will cut you to pieces if an Alliance patrol doesn’t catch you first.”
So Karnia really had no choice, she made a blanket with her belongings and used her pack as a pillow. She slept on the floor, as she refused to even think about crawling into one of the scary wooden boxes. So her second evening finds her in much the same spot…dejectedly staring at the wall and trying to decide what to do….

Vilmah was walking through Undercity, without much in mind besides perhaps finding a group to venture to Scholomance with. Ever since her warrior trainers had told her the amazing (and unbelievable) news that she'd completed her training, the tiny orc had little to do besides go on gold quests and slay evil-doers. It was hard, but rewarding, and not in the way of money. She was glad to help, and gladder now that she'd had the first good-night's sleep in weeks at the Rest Inn Peace.
Feeling slightly elated, she almost skipped through Undercity's trade district before seeing a troll lying on the floor beside their "inn". Vilmah looked at her, scared she was perhaps an undead Troll who wouldn't take kindly to her prying. But she did look uncomfortable...
"Excuse me," she said quietly. " But.. are you alright?"

Karnia had been sitting there all day, her usually bright mood dampened by the fact that her hair was dirty, and she was afraid to use the water here to brush her tusks. She couldn’t decide whether to try to keep going, or go back to Ratchet. Everyone that passed by her looked at funny; a few had even thrown coins to her, obviously thinking she was some sort of indigent.
She started rooting through her backpack, trying to find her last few pieces of salted fish, when she heard a soft voice.
“Excuse me,” It said. “But…are you alright?”
Karnia looked up, expecting another young adventurer to throw money at her. Her eyes opening wide. The figure she saw was young; she appeared to be an orc girl about her own age. But this girl was wearing a gleaming set of plate mail! She must be really important! Karnia tried to smooth down her filthy hair. She looked embarrassed. Maybe the warrior was here to tell her she couldn’t lean against the wall anymore. Maybe she was going to get in trouble.
“I’m sorry…I can go…I just didn’t want to sleep in the coffins.”
Vilmah

Vilmah looked at the troll wide-eyed.
"Sleep in the coffins?? Why in the world would you do that!"
She saw that the girl looked a little frazzled, like she hadn't slept well in days. The innkeeper looked annoyed, so Vilmah took it upon herself to see if she could fix things. She extended her hand towards her peer, and smiled welcomingly.
"C'mon, I'll show you where you can get a better night's sleep. This place is more for um.. passers by," she said, casting a wary eye at some of the Forsaken who seemed perfectly content in their wooden boxes.

“Sleep in the coffins?? Why in the world would you do that!”
Karnia was trying to process this information, the innkeeper hadn’t made it seem as though she had other options, had only pointed to the crude ugly boxes and laughed, when the orc held her hand out. Karnia looked up; the orc girl was smiling at her.
“C’mon, I’ll show you where you can get a better night’s sleep. This place is more for um…passers by,”
If it was even possible, the young shamans eyes got even wider. She extended her hand upwards, enveloping the smaller orcs hand with her larger pawlike troll hand. The strength the smaller girl possessed was shocking; Karnia was pulled to her feet as if she weighed nothing. She regained her balance, and stood before the warrior.
“I really would like some coffee, and maybe a bath.” She said shyly.

Vilmah giggled.
"No problem. I know just the place."
She whistled with her fingers, and a moment later a large gray riding wolf came to a skidding halt beside her. Vilmah threw her bags on his back, and walked beside the dog and the troll. Soon after, a pig began following close at her heels. She began to lead Karnia from Undercity, out into Tirisfal. The glades were rather gloomy, but they were also familliar. It began to rain, and Vilmah groaned.
"Stupid rain.. going to get all wet.. oh! I'm sorry, I didn't give you my name. I'm Vilmah Bloodborne. And you are?"

Karnia tried to stay cool, nonchalant. She had done pretty well so far she thought. She didn’t make an idiot of herself at the inn, She even managed to clap a hand to her mouth quick enough to stifle the yelp when the massive wolf had ran up to them at the gate. Its tongue lolling out of its mouth like a giant puppy as it fawned over the orc. She had handed her bags over and stood calmly as the armored girl attached them to the saddle.
But then she heard the snuffling sound. It started as they were walking down the road, right before it started to rain. Karnia had looked back over her shoulder fearfully. Only to see a tiny pink piglet scampering up behind them. Karnia snapped her head forward and shut her eyes tight. “I’m not seeing that.” She thought. “It must be the stress, there is no pig.” She repeated this several times in her mind as they continued walking. Then she opened her eyes. Not only was the pig still there, it was right on the heels of the young orc. It would even occasionally put on a burst of speed and press its tiny nose against the steel of her boots.
Karnia looked forwards again, this day was completely weird. They continued walking as the rain grew from a slight mist to more of a steady drizzle. She could just make out some buildings taking shape in the gloom.
"Stupid rain.. going to get all wet.. oh! I'm sorry, I didn't give you my name. I'm Vilmah Bloodborne. And you are?" The orc asked.
“Oh! My names Karnia! Karnia Shadowscar, from Shadowprey village.” She was so embarrassed again, she probably should have offered her name earlier. “I’m trying to be a shaman, but mostly I like to fish. I haven’t fished much around here though. You must be a fighter, you have very intimidating armor!”
Karnia winced, she was babbling. The orc was going to think she was rude.

Vilmah giggled, putting a hand over her mouth and waving a hand dismissively.
"Really? You think it's intimidating?? Everyone's always giving me grief because it's armor for paladins.. hehe! Thank you!"
Finally, they came to the Rest Inn Peace. It was damaged by fire, magma, ice, and lightning, and some of the walls recently repaired from being caved in by an orc-shaped hole, but Vilmah took a deep breath and smiled. This was their home away from home. She opened up the door for Karnia.
"This is the Rest Inn Peace. When people aren't trying to kill eachother, it's really quite cozy!"

Karnia walked into the inn and looked around. The place appeared to be held together by spare boards and she couldn’t really find a wall that didn’t look burnt, cracked, ripped or swollen, and in certain places almost melted. But there was a large fire going in the hearth and the place smelled of mulled cider and cooking meat. Karnia smiled and followed Vilmah inside.
“It’s great!”
She walked up the the bar and asked to see the innkeeper, she reserved a room for the night. Once she found they also would heat water for bathing, she requested a tub be made for her. She turned back to look for Vilmah.
“I don’t have much, but please let me buy you dinner for your help.”

Vilmah paused. She ate the night before, but her stomach still felt queasy at the thought of eating. Zasien had given her something to keep food down, but she didn't want to waste it. She quickly shook her hands and gave as cheerful a smile as she could.
"No no, that's okay! The pleasure's all mine. Anything to help a new member of the Horde."
She looked around the inn for any other familliar faces.
"Usually, there's a lot of people in here. Some nice, some not so much.. just be careful. Lots of fights get started in here, and when they get started it's hard for them to stop."
She looked up into the rafters. They were dark, and she couldn't tell if there was anyone hiding within them.
"..also, make sure you keep track of where people are. Sometimes.. they can get the drop on you."

She listened to Vilmah’s words of warning and groaned. Was there no place safe anymore? Everywhere you went you had to be careful of something.
“Is it really that bad around here? Isn’t it a little safer since it’s a town? They have guards here don’t they?” She asked. Her words coming out in a rush before she could stop them. She forced a small smile. “I mean…umm…no one attacks the inn right?”
Vilmah

Vilmah looked at Karnia and blinked a few times, then giggled.
"Well, you've nothing to fear from the Alliance. Not here.. but I'm afraid the Horde isn't exactly all made up of loyal and friendly people," she said sadly, sitting down in one of the chairs. "Truth be told, it's fairly easy to make enemies with our so-called 'allies' when you have a difference in opinion. No worries, though.. those type of things generally happen downstairs. You should be safe while you sleep."
She paused.
"Mostly."

The conversation taking place within the inn would be briefly punctuated by a sound of thundering hoofbeats slamming into the ground some distance away outside. The rapidity of the beats would seem to indicate two horses, one a distance behind the other. The sounds of the chase grew louder and louder until finally one of the riders could be seen whisking by through the windows of the inn. He appeared to be a human, and the look of utter terror on his face was incomparable. The white stallion he rode carried him quickly past, continuing down the road. Shortly thereafter a shouting could be heard growing nearer from the direction the human had just come, becoming more clarified. A massive flaming steed darted by in hot pursuit, a bearded orc in purple warlock robes upon its back. An imp struggled to hang on the the horse's tail.
"...pain! I'll teach you to mess with my machine, you mother fu-!" were the cut-off words which could be heard within the inn before he was out of vocal range, off into the distance again, heading toward the Undercity of all places. The poor human clearly didn't know where he was going.

Karnia gulped, she fell into the chair across from Vilmah. She hadn’t really thought about that much. It didn’t seem to make much sense. She always thought any infighting went on between tribal leaders. She didn’t see why it would affect people like her. But the thought of someone coming into her room at night, she found more than a little disturbing. She wished Kurt hadn’t taken off, then she wouldn’t be on this goose chase to begin with. Maybe if she could explain just how dangerous it was out here, he would come back to Ratchet with her.
She stared down at her hands as she addressed the orc.
“I know this is dishonorable…I don’t want to fight. I’m just trying to find a friend. Do you know where the town of Tarren Mill is?”
Her head spun up at the commotion outside the windows. She stared slackjawed at the flaming horse. She closed her eyes and repeated her mantra. "I didnt see that...its just the stress....just the stress."
((And I need to run to the store for awhile  I'll be back in soon.))

Vilmah nodded and smiled, and would have answered quickly had it not been for the sound of Jobolg's voice in the distance. She looked out of the window, almost frightened of what she'd see.
"... Huh? Oh! Tarren Mill! Yes, it's not far from here.." She said, regaining her senses.

Zasien exited the undercity, he had just returned from a rather successful journey into blackrock spire. As he walked out into tristifal, he realized quite quickly that it was raining. He could have called for his black war raptor, and made a dash through the rain, but instead he decided to take the form of a ghost wolf. That way, when he shifted back, he wouldn't be wet. He took off in the form, his spirit feet eating away the distance. He liked running through the rain like this, with the water spirits strong in the air around him, his body in the form of a vision, half transparent, shimmering. With long strides on four legs, he dashed through the gloomy glades, stopping for a minute to watch a terrified human run by followed by a warlock, Jobolg he guessed, shouting out strings of profanity and death threats.
He arrived in front of the Rest Inn Peace a few moments later, shifting out of his form before walking in the doorway, almost completely dry. He moved inside, the links of his Champion's armor clinking together. "Hello Vilmah." He said when he spotted her, then turned to the young shaman, "And who's this?" He asked, his troll voice void of the common accent.
Niethan
11-13-2006, 11:06 AM
Niethan pattered around the adjoining kitchen, frying up various foodstuffs wile keeping an eye on the cinnamon rolls in the oven. He'd woken up late, so had decided to find a deer to eat. When he'd eaten his fill he'd brought back the strips of venison for the Inn. He'd have to go fishing later, Vilmah didn't eat much red meat...
Voices from the common room alerted him to guests, prompting him to start fixing a few plates of breakfast. By the time Zasien's voice carried through the wooden door, he was frosting the rolls and placing them neatly on a platter. He grinned, grabbing a few plates and the rolls and padding into the main room.

Something smelled sweet. And cinnamon-y. Vilmah knew that smell.. and she followed her senses to the kitchen door, where Niethan appeared. She tried to hide the delight on her face, at the sight of the troll and his pastries.
"..smells good, Niethan," she said. "Oh, here. Meet Karnia. She's new to the area. I've been showing her around, a bit."

Karnia was happy that Vilmah had heard of Tarren Mill, she was just preparing to ask about its location when another troll walked in from outside, he barely looked wet and his armor sparkled in the firelight. He walked straight over to where they were sitting and greeted Vilmah, they were obviously friends. She could feel slightly the power coming from him. He was a shaman! And from the look of him, one of great importance. He glanced looked in her direction. She once again became painfully aware of how dirty she must look; she had spent the night lying on the floor in the Undercity. She was ashamed and tried to scrunch down in her seat.
Then he asked Vilmah her name! Her cheeks flushed, she tried to wipe off some dirt with the back of her hand. Vilmah had gotten up and walked towards the kitchen where another troll was walking out with a tray of food. Karnia’s mouth watered, it smelled so good. She got out of her chair also, trying to whisper to Vilmah as best she could.
“Vilmah…I look shameful….these are your friends….I have to at least clean up…please….”
She grabbed her bag off the floor, and with a longing look at the tray of food, bolted for the steps.
Thankfully someone had already brought the basin of hot water upstairs, she frantically dumped her bag on the floor and began rummaging through it. She grabbed both of her brushes, ran back to the tub and dunked her entire head in it. She reached in with her hands and scrubbed her hair as best she could. She did this for as long as she could hold her breath, then pulled her head out, gasping for air. She grabbed a piece of cloth from the floor and quickly wiped all the dirt from her face. She surveyed the chaos on the floor.
“Now what to wear!?”
Niethan
11-13-2006, 12:23 PM
Niethan bobbed his head instead of a wave, his hands being full. He put the plates of breakfast on the bar, then straightened, smiling.
"Morning! Tried to bring you breakfast dis morning, but... I sleep in a lot." He chortled, turning now to the newcomer. "Karnia? Pleased to meet you. I be Niethan, and you look hungry. I bring my own ingredients ta cook, so no charge. As though we actually knew the owner, anyway..." Niethan trailed off, remembering the very old puzzle of who owned the Rest Inn Peace (he'd been so sure it was Rayeth, long ago). He shook his head, shrugging it off as unimportant.
"Vil, what would you like? I know you're na fond of red meats, so I can find something else for you. Some fruit, maybe?"
Vilmah
11-13-2006, 12:28 PM
Vilmah smiled and blushed, looking down. It was all she could do to keep from grinning.
"Don't worry about it. As long as you got a good night's sleep.. and fruit would be fine, thank you."
She couldn't believe what she'd just said.
"..I think, I'm feeling better now. Hm... but, I hope Karnia is alright. Maybe we've intimidated the poor thing."

Karnia finally settled on a modest two piece number she had gotten in Orgrimmar. She unfastened all her leather traveling clothes and set them carefully by the bed. Vilmah hadn’t been lying; it was a real bed with a nice soft woolen blanket! She poked at it with a finger and grinned. After a hasty soapy rinse down of the rest of her body, Karnya grabbed the blue and brown cloth skirt, she pulled it up and fastened the side clasps. She picked up a small beaded belt and attached it over. Then she slipped the matching top over her head. She ran a brush through her light blue hair and stretched it up into its normal half ponytail.
She took a deep breath and fanned her face with her hand, then tried to walk back downstairs without drawing attention to herself. The wonderful smell of the food almost knocked her over before she had taken a dozen steps. She walked over to the bar.
“Sorry….that smells great.” She waved shyly. “Are you sure you don’t mind sharing?”

((This post came first, first I say! Karnia didn't hear it!))
"She'll be fine, like you said, she's just new to the area and people. We all are fully trained, perhaps a little intimidating." He said, unstrapping the spiked armor on his shoulders, and thumping his boar-head shaped hammer down be beside an empty chair. He took some of the food from the bar, saying, "It smells great Niethan."
"Know where she was headed? It seems like shes a bit farther along in her training than what this area can provide." He asked calmly, returning to his seat.
Niethan
11-13-2006, 12:55 PM
Niethan grinned, both at Vilmah and at the genneral compliments to his culinary skills. He'd never picked up a real profession, but he considered cooking to be well worth his time. Food is, after all, a main source of happiness.
He nodded to the newly-scrubbed troll and padded quickly into the kitchen, hunting around for a bowl and some fruit.

"She's heading for Tarren Mill," she answered offhandedly, watching Niethan retreat into the kitchen. "Huh. Fully trained. I'm definately not used to it."

“not used to it…”
Karnia looked from the orc girl at the bar to the troll hurrying into the kitchen. She could have been wrong but she was almost positive Vilmah was staring at his ass. Karnia blushed. She reached out and took one of the pastries from the tray. She bit into it and realized that the older shaman was still here…sitting in a chair slightly behind them. She turned around and tried to give him her best bow.
“I’m Karnia, nice to meet you.”

"So your heading to Tarren Mill? The route can be dangerous, though not as much if you go the long way through Sliverpine." He continued.

“Oh..” Karnia blinked. Vilmah must have told him while she was upstairs. She tried to brush some crumbs off her dress.
“Yeah, I’m trying to help a friend…he went there for guard duty.” She looked at the floor. “I know how it sounds, but I want to try and talk him out of it.”
Vilmah
11-13-2006, 01:37 PM

Vilmah snapped back to attention at the sound of Karnia an Zasien introducing themselves. She leaned her elbows on the table, her chin resting in her palms as she watched.

"Tarren Mill isn't the safest of places, a lot of alliance attacks there." He said, "I can see why you'd like to try and talk him out of it, but I don't think he would make that choice without thinking about it, and theres probably not a lot you can say. Then again, I don't know your friend.

Karnia looked down, shamed. He was right, Kurt had made that choice, and the things she had said did nothing. But she had to try. She glanced over at Vilmah, she had her elbows propped up on the bar watching them. She was afraid she would offend her; she had been so nice bringing her here from the Undercity. But Karnia didn’t want to lie either, so before she could think she blurted.
“I just think there could be a peaceful solution…has anyone even tried to talk to them…maybe ask them to stop attacking? The we wouldn’t even need gaurds….”
Vilmah
11-13-2006, 01:58 PM
Vilmah smiled at Karnia.
"You sound just like me, a few months ago.." she said reassuringly. "And yes. Peace is preferable, but for every one hundred good souls there is one bad one.. so we do need guards, to serve and protect."
She wiggled her nose.
"Goodness.. but maybe you should be spoken to about Sanctuary. I think there's a lot our members could show you, and help you with."

11-13-2006, 02:03 PM
To her surprise she wasn’t immediately mocked. Vilmah was smiling at her. She couldn’t really read the other shamans expression because she was afraid to look.
“What’s Sanctuary? Is it a town?”
Niethan
11-13-2006, 02:06 PM
Niethan padded back out of the kitchen, a bowl of various fruits in the crook of his elbow. He placed it on the bar and took a seat, examining the trolless and trying to place her. She looked more of a forest type, but it had been a while since he'd really been able to name the tribes at a glance. He rubbed a mailed hand at one of the swatches of grey moss threading through his pelt. If she wanted peace and wasn't exiled, she was probably Revantusk.
"If you're wanting to work for peace then Sanctuary is definitely a good bet for you. I'd say Tower Arcanus, but we're apparently less 'peace for all' and more 'defeat Scourge, then peace-for-all.' Which is nice, but you sound more Sanctuary material. And you've already met Vilmah, so tha's half the work right there."
Vilmah
11-13-2006, 02:07 PM
She shook her head. "Sanctuary is my guild. We're one of the leading groups who seek to eradicate the war-mongering and bring forth peace to both the Horde, and the Alliance. We believe in equality, friendship, all of those things.."
Vilmah sat up and stretched.
"We're not very popular."
She looked curiously at Niethan.
"Defeat the Scourge -then- peace for all, huh? Well.. hah.. I'll say, it'll be more efficient if we try to defeat the scourge with the hep of the Alliance, doncha think?"
Sorchea
11-13-2006, 02:21 PM
“Really?! So I was right then, not everyone believes in war. My mother was wrong, she made fun of me, said I was bringing shame to our tribe, that I didn’t live up to…”
Karnia cut herself off. She reached for another pastry and shoved it into her mouth.
“MMffg, I’m really glad, there must be hope! Mrrffgg, I doubt I could help much, but I’m a fast learner, all my trainers say so…MMMFhh*chomp*” She swallowed.
“I would love to be part of any peace efforts; I’m also a great cook!” She said hopefully, glancing at Niethan.

11-13-2006, 02:25 PM
Vilmah giggled. "Consider yourself very invited, then! And welcome to our ranks. Can never have too many shamans. Especially ones who's mothers don't approve," she said with a wink.
She looked at the bowl of fruit, and took out an apple. After running her fingers over the skin, she took a large bite.

"Tower Arcanus is working toward a cure for undeath, which would allow the forsaken to become human again. We're hoping that will let us talk more about peace. Maybe we could even save the scourge with it." Zasien explained, before taking a bite of the food.
When he swallowed, he continued, "It would be nice if the horde and alliance could put aside their differences, but no matter how hard we try, some of us have hatreds that run old and deep. War is terrible, but often unavoidable. Still, we should try our hardest to bring about peace."

Karnia turned to look again at Zasein.
“Undeath can be cured?” She asked.
She looked back and forth between them.
“And if it could, wouldn’t they all line up? Why wouldn’t they want it?”
Vilmah
11-13-2006, 02:39 PM
"Some consider undeath a gift," she answered with a shrug. "They're immortal, now. Not even the elves have immortality.. I'm sure it may seem strange to us, but many of them have embraced this second life of theirs. Not that there aren't some who would jump at the chance of getting their old life back, but, what can you do but offer.."
She smiled at Zasien and Niethan.
"Assuming you all succeed."
Niethan
11-13-2006, 02:45 PM
Niethan shrugged uncomfortably. The different moral twists and turns about undeath were confusing. He considered it wrong and blasphemous, but he also considered the Plauge to be at fault, not the Forsaken. Either way, the Scourge were something he felt pity for, and he wasn't above a mercy killing.
"It'd be nice to have a way to restore those that want it, but forcing it would be jus' as wrong as forcing undeath. Still, is a nice goal, I suppose..." He glanced around for a change of subject.
"Karnia, you said you cook?"

“Oh yes! I love fried fish, I also salt cure for traveling. I was staying in Ratchet for awhile, and they were nice enough to let me cook in exchange for rent. I never got into any complicated dishes. I made a few stews, but never anything as nice as this.”
She smiled and leaned back in her chair. This was the nicest time she could remember having lately.

Vilmah noticed the uncomfortable nature that Niethan gave off. It took a moment before she put two and two together.

Karnia leaned back in her chair swinging her legs, she didn’t eat sugar very often and it was giving her a bit of a rush. It was nice to have new people to talk to, everyone here was probably full of stories! She glanced around.
“So…how bad is Tarren Mill?"
Vilmah
11-14-2006, 03:11 PM
"Oh, it's bad," Vilmah said sadly. "Regrettibly, the Alliance seems to enjoy making short work of the less seasoned members of the Horde who visit there. I am confident, however, in the skill of the guards who are there. I do hope you'll stick to the more Horde populated areas, while you're there. That should help. Also, I'm sure members of Sanctuary will be glad to lend you a hand if you need it."

“Yeah, I really don’t want to go wandering around, I just want to try and find my friend and try to talk some sense into him…he’s forsaken…and a little…odd”
She raised her hands in a little helpless gesture. “He thinks I’m not being helpful I guess…I don’t know.”

"I'm sure he appreciates your concern," Vilmah said reassuringly. "Sometimes, it's hard to not be stubborn. Even for a good friend."

"I wouldn't mind showing you the way. Its a quick enough journey, perhaps a bit dangerous." Zasien stated.
"He probably wouldn't mind you coming, he might even be happy to see you. But again, I don't know your friend. Forsaken can be very odd."

“You would take me?” Karnia couldn’t keep the surprise off her face. “Is it far? I completed training for my Wolf form…pretty much…”
She hoped Kurt would be happy to see her…he could be so hard to predict. And if he wasn’t…she drew a blank…best not to worry about that now.

"Its not too far, especially if you travel in the form of a wolf. But you might want to rest up a bit before going. You didn't look like you had slept well when I first came in..." Zasien said.

Now that she thought about it, especially with the sugar wearing off, she did feel pretty tired. A few of her joints also ached from her stay on the floor. Her new friends didn’t seem tired at all. She laughed.
“Yeah, your right, I am a little tired.”
She stood up and stretched. “Thanks you Vilmah for everything, and for welcoming me to your group, I’ll try to be as useful as I can.”
She looked around and didn’t see Neithan anywhere. “Please thank him for the food, it was very good. Maybe I should try to get some sleep. But It would honor me to have your help Zasein.” Not to mention make Kurt sick with jealousy, she thought absently.
She gave a smaller bow this time, turned around and walked upstairs. She bypassed the mess on the floor. Gave a deep happy sigh and jumped into the bed fully clothed. She was snoring loudly before the covers had even settled around her.
Jobolg

"...think you can get away, do you?!" came a familiar voice from the distance outside. The human darted past the windows again at a slower pace, largely because he was on foot, the location of his white steed unknown. Jobolg's form, still mounted, whisked by even swifter. As the human was passing one of the last windows before the entrance, the orc's form could be seen leaping from his felsteed. Jobolg soared through the air, arms outstretched, and tackled the human to the ground.
The sounds of a tussle came from behind that window, and several times, a flaming orcish hand raised high enough to be viewed through the clear glass. It only took a few seconds. Jobolg stood up with a smile, dusting his hands together. Satisfied, he stepped in through the door of the inn and looked around, pleasantly surprised at what he saw.
"Well hello there, Vilmah! Fancy meeting you he-" he began, silencing himself at the sound of groaning and snickering from outside. His head snapped around just in time to see the human standing back to his feet and running off. "BLOODY HELL! The bastard was feigning! I thought only damn hunters did that!" Jobolg turned to Vilmah and smiled warmly. "I'll be riiight back."
No real time was given for any of the others to truly respond to him before he leapt out the open door, slamming it behind him, running off in hot pursuit of the human who had apparently done.. something.
"You just wait until I catch you! NO mercy this next time, you stupid sunnuva-"

Vilmah watched Jobolg, her lip twitching slightly.
"I.. uh.. careful! Jo.. bolg..."
She sat back in her chair and sighed, exhausted.

"I don't think the human can do much." Zasien said, chuckling.
"Jobolg should keep a closer eye on his machines if he doesn't want them fiddled with."
