So I bought this scanner and got it installed and such. Got some of my drawings saved on my computer... but how do I link said picture to a thread like in this one?

You will need to upload them to some image hosting service like www.Photobucket.com. Thats the one I use. Its automatically generates an image URL you can copy and paste into your posts between the img tags..
