Brakogar

Brakogar felt an inner peace within himself as he stepped out into the morning sunrise from his chambers in Orgrimmar. He looked around and noticed that it was not only him that felt some peace once again but the atmosphere around him seemed to be blessed with it too. The turmoils that plagued the Horde in rescent weeks had all but ended with some regretable losses but they allowed for some great rebirths. Everyone was once again focusing on protecting the Horde and the realm from those that wished it harm.
Brakogar decided to take walk around the Valley of Spirits to refresh himself in the cool dawn air and to gather his thoughts. As he walked passed the visiting Dwarven Ambassador, he looked at him and nodded in a cold icy manner, the Dwarf greeted him back in a similar form.
Brakogar understood why Thrall had agreed to an exchange of ambassadors between the Alliance and the Horde in order to discuss a possible joint defense against the ever growing threat of the Sillith but he still felt a bitterness towards the Dwarf. There had been too many incidents of rogue dwarven attacks squads that were always striking at young Hordelings and training camps unproboked, but most of all he could not forgive the defilement of the natural balance of Alterac Valley, the home of the Frostwolf Clan by Ironforge in their selfish obssession to find proof of their ancestral connection to the Titans.
Brakogar muttered to himself.
"We are all fools if we believe ourselves that by simply joining forces and gathering some supplies will be enough to defeat an enemy which we know nothing about."
Then he begun to think of the situation further.
We know nothing about the Sillith to properly mount a defense against them, even if every race in the entire realm joint together. In order to to defeat your enemy you must know it first. Otherwise it is like fighting with a blindfold.
I trust in the Warchief's reasoning and believe that he is doing the correct thing to maintain relations with the Alliance, specially against the possibility of an unknown threat but this is different. When the Horde, Alliance and the Night Elves joint forces against the Burning Legion it was not a fight against an unknown enemy. Despite the Legion's great power, we all understood what we were dealing with, specially the Horde and the Night Elves since our histories had so much demonic involvement in them.
"These sillith are a new threat completly unlike anything we had ever faced before. I shall endevour to seek out any information about them in order to properly inform our Warchief no matter where it takes me or the dangers involved!"
At the same time within the royal private chambers of Stormwind Keep, Lady Katrana Prestor, a mysterious surving noble of the now destroyed human kingdom of Alterac sat in front of a mirror carefully brushing her long black hair.
As she continued to brush, she whispered to herself
"Humans have such a shallow perceptions. It is so pittyfully easy for a young attractive female to persuave a seasoned general to do her bidding with just a simple smile"
Suddenly something begun to glow from within her chest robes, it appeared to be coming from the pendant of a necklace secluded within her clothing. As she pulled the chain around her neck and exposed the pendant, its glow deminished, she then held it on top of her open hand. The pendant appeared to be a large black rough looking scale, not unlike those found on dragons.
Lady Prestor lowered her lips to it and whispered
"I am here to serve you great Black lord of the Skies"
The scale trembled siltely and frightinglly soul less voice emerged from it
"I sense that my plan is working as intended, you are to be commended, my doughter. But I have one more matter that needs to be addressed"
Lady Prestor smiled showing an inhuman row of sharp teeth in her mouth that changed to normal just before she spoke.
"I only exist to do the bidding of the greatest of all aspects"
the scale begun to glow a bit more as the voice within responded
"Some of the pittyful mortals are seeking information that I wish to keep forbidden. There is a danger to my plans if these mortals know any more than they already do."
Prestor responded
"I shall put any end to any who.."
The voice in the scale interrupted
"Listen! it will not be as simple as you may think, you may have the aristocracy of the Alliance feeding from your hand but these mortals are within the ranks of the Horde and we have very litle influence with them. It is my command that you 'persuade' certain circles of the Alliance to hunt down and eliminate any Horde who seeks this knowledge.
The voice turned to a darker and grimmer tone
"If that young fool Thrall becomes knowledgeable of the dangers that they are facing, he will most certainly share that knowledge with Jaina Proudmoore. This will result in both the Alliance and the Horde to be able to prepare a proper defense and severely hinder my plans of their mutual annihiliation."
Prestor gave a determined response
"I shall exercise my influence within the Human royalty to tell some of the Ally sects that the Horde is planning to use the Sillith threat to betray and destroy them. I shall decieve them by saying that the Horde is seeking the Sillith in order to join with them and destroy the Alliance."
A pleased voice emerged from the black scale
"Yes that shall do nicely, thanks to your succesful execution of my plans, the Alliance have been kept in a state of ignorance, they will surely believe anything that you tell them"
That very night back in Orgrimmar, Brakogar studied what little information he had about the Sillith, much of that information was due to his friend Zusteakai's expedition to Sillithus but it was still largely incomplete and not enough to form a battle strategy against the insect creatures.
The very next morning, Brakogar mounted his new companion wolf, Frostbite and set forth to unknown territory in search of clues that will reveal any weaknesses on the new enemy.
Only time will tell what terrifying mysteries he will uncover...

This is the Prelude to a soon coming World RP Event. It will involve a scavenger hunt for clues given through simple player given quests that will develop a story as the event is progressing.
The event date is yet to be decided but I shall post a pre event RP story in the few days before it begins that continues from the story above.
During the event we will be experimenting with this UI mod:
http://forums.rightstep.org/showthread.php?t=59
MyQuests allows players to create, give, and receive quests from other players. You'll also be able to tell other players that have the mod, as it will show on their portrait. If a player has a quest for you, the icon on the portrait will show as ! or ? depending on which "stage" of the quest you're in. It works very well for simple quests (such as find x item, kill x thing, defeat x person). The option for timed quests is available, but remember that it counts in seconds. Rewards do have to be manually transferred.
It will not be necesary to use the mod but it is suggested that participants download and install this mod in order to enjoy the event to the fullest.
More details will be posted soon.
