View Full Version : Letter to Kurohane
Lovely

Kurohane,
I have communicated with Yomi and others after the brutal attack upon her person, and I am angered beyond words.
You and your people have acted dishonorably, forging letters and saying they were from me, and luring my friend into a trap. You had Mayday and Liadain with you, both of which are capable rogues able to pick the pockets of anyone on the planet, yet you slaughter and mutilate Yomi when this is unnessesary.
Know at this moment that we are no longer friends. I hate to say this, Kurohane, because I have had much love for you, but know that if I see you on the street I will openly shun you and any Swordwaltzer I see.
Know that I will also have my revenge, not only for the sake of Yomi, but for using my name to accomplish this dastardly deed.
I turn my back on you, "Ogema."
Lovely of The Greyward.
((OOC I love you, Kuro....This is all IC. And fun! hehe))

Conidivh perused the communique almost lovingly and allowed himself a chuckle before upending the contents of his glass. It was an interesting day indeed.
"So. The Light-blessed has finally shown where she stands. I think it's time to adress this particular issue, don't you?"
The priest scowled at Conidivh before nodding curtly and turning his back to the rogue with military precision. Head held high, the priest marched into the Cathedral of Light.
Lovely, a paladin, was defending a sacrosanct cult devoted to the annihilation of all things. Somehow, that would never stop being humorous to Conidivh.
He disappeared into the crowds of the Trade District shortly after. There were even more people to contact, and more items to set into deliberate motion.

The initial hurt that Lovely would "shun" the rest of the Swordwaltzers lasted only a split second before being consumed by cold contempt. For thier own alleged friendship, Kurohane has thought she'd made herself quite clear on that matter the last time she'd spoken to the paladin. The quickly scribed letter in return was short, and to the point.
To do what is necissary is not always smiled upon. At least, however, I am not a traitor to not only the Alliance, but the order I follow.
K. M.
Tossing the letter into the mailbox, she folded Lovely's not and slipped it into her bag. She was to meet that evening with Rhowen, per the warrior's wishes the pervious evening. What, she wondered, would the Kestril have to say about all this?

Q u o t e:
"To do what is necissary is not always smiled upon. At least, however, I am not a traitor to not only the Alliance, but the order I follow.
K. M."
Lovely read the words written on the parchment...Her face contorting in anger.
"So I am a traitor," she mumbled. "Well so be it then. If I am a traitor then I am happy to be, Omega...At least I know I would never resort to forgery and murder to attain my goals...I may be a little crazy, but at least I'm open about it."
Lovely then twitched an eyebrow for a moment. Yomi was undead...If they killed her, would it technically be murder?
Shrugging her shoulders, Lovely threw the letter to the ground and huffed out of the room toward the Dwarven District.

((Sorry, Lovely, I went ahead and posted anyway...I had nothing to do at work. :( Hope that's okay! :( :( ))
So many things had happened in such a short few days. Alucian had gone from helping the Cenarion Circle decorate cities for the Lunar Festival, to confronting a paladin who once wore their colors and now threatened the life of his beloved.
He sighed and leaned back against the corner of the room in the upper floor fo the Gilded Rose, his life asleep on the bed in front of him. The day's ordeal had taken its toll on her, and shortly after returning to the safety of the walls of Stormwind, they found their way to their room and she fell into a restless sleep. That state eluded the druid, however, and he found himself chasing memories of what had happened.
The smell of alcohol and a roaring fireplace returned with the memory of the day he'd received the news about the letter the tainted paladin Lovely had sent Kurohane. Bitter anger rose in his chest as he remembered the nights the huntress had spent crying for Lovely's plight, praying to Elune that they could rescue her from the clutches of the Forsaken that had captured her. Now, they found, she'd continued to fraternize with the very people that had put her through so much, to the point of threatening to support revenge for the assassination and disfigurement of the rogue Yomi.
All the whispered apologies and pleads for forgiveness. All the whimpers begging for help as the paladin fought against the sickness she couldn't control. All of it had been a lie.
A day passed. A fruitless meeting with the leader of the guild Lovely now called home occured at the very table where Alucian had received that dreadful news. The carefully weighted words made Alucian want to spit them back out for remembering them. Then another meeting with the rogue Mayday gave support to Lovely's and her guild's duplicity. Alucian smirked as he remembered that meeting. Mayday was a very interesting human, one Alucian would have to meet with again during better times.
Today. He and Kurohane had gone to the Badlands in an attempt to tame the elusive cougar with the broken tooth, only to find the animal had safely returned to its den. When they returned to Stormwind, they learned Lovely had been pacing the streets, muttering his love's honored title.
Alucian finally had enough. He was no longer content to let the events unfold as they would. It was difficult enough jumping at every shadow while out in the world, but jumping at shadows in the cobbled streets of Stormwind was just too much. It was time to confront the traitor and end this game.
It took little effort to find Lovely's whereabouts. By chance, he and Kurohane happened upon the paladin at the flight master in Menethil. They moved the conversation to the basement of the tavern, and then, Alucian remembered nothing more than a haze of rage.
Alucian sighed and straightened the tabard covering his chest. The one thing he remembered was the bitter promise he gave to Lovely as they left: that every Forsaken he passed from that point on, he would tear every bone from their bodies one by one, and their blood would be on Lovely's hands. The paladin's laughter and admonishment rang even clearer.
"You're becoming just like them..."
Am I? Alucian closed his eyes. In retrospect, the rage had drained from his body before the green glow of their hearthstones had dissipated. He had no intention to carry out that promise, save perhaps on the person of Yomi. Briefly, Alucian imagined his teeth and claws doing what he promised, and he made a disgusted face. That would taste terrible...
He chuckled softly, then fell even more silent than before as Kurohane rolled over on the bed and fell asleep again.
The momentary mirth gone, Alucian remembered a different promise, th one he intended to keep, given to the silver-haired man that seemed to be everywhere and nowhere.
"I will do whatever is necessary. No matter what."
And I will.
