Trias chuckled as Conidivh ascended the creaking steps of the shop. He took a moment to acknowledge Conidivh's nod before gesturing to the chessboard atop the packing crate. It was an unusually chill day in Stormwind, and drizzling if the water slicking off Conidivh's leather op-suit was any indication. Conidivh took a moment to survey the ready board before shaking his head. Trias smiled and nodded.

"I suppose you wouldn't have time for a game, given that you're now wanted in all the realms. Though I'm flattered that you'd risk the noose to come visit me, 'divh."

Conidivh sat in the opposing chair and wiped a few water droplets off his brow. He smiled and shook his head once more, taking a leaf of parchment out of the inner waterproof lining of his pouch. He laid it aside of the board and leaned back into the chair, obviously taking his ease.

"Sorry to curb your excitement of the prospect, but I've been reinstated with full accomadation. It happened just last night. The individual who leveled accusations against me in the first place has been taken care of. Moreover, the results of last night's operation validated the need to bring me back into the fold, as it were."

Trias failed to conceal his obvious suprise. "Full reinstatement? What kind of op managed to get you back into the organization's good graces?" Trias produced a hip flask and enjoyed a long pull on it's contents while studying Conidivh as if the man had suddenly sprouted horns like a Satyr.

"You didn't know? Well I don't suppose you would, since it was off the books. I forged a letter from the paladin Lovely to Yomi of the Crimson watch to lure her into a trap to be set by the swordwaltzers, Liadain, and the rogue Mayday. The aim was three fold; first, to retrieve a family signet ring for my investigation into a claim of a newly joined member of the swordwaltzers that the rogue Yomi was in fact her sister. Secondly, one of the remaining original copies of their prophecies was lifted from Yomi's person. and, lastly, a sample from the rogue had to be collected. This was accoplished by removing her finger bearing the signet ring. Much akin to Morghoul absconding with Liadain's finger."

Trias whistled through his teeth. "Light, 'divh. That's quite the op indeed...wait...you forged a letter from Lovely?"

"Mmm. Twice, actually."

"Twice? Why was the other forgery made?"

Conidivh picked up the king on his side of the playing board and twirled it between his gloved fingers. "Because I needed the impetus to provoke the Blades of Lordaeron into action. They were the only group that met criteria to stop the Watch's attack on the Stonewrought Dam. Liadain already had history with them, and it was just a matter of pointing her and Celethorn in the right direction with a letter I managed to "confiscate" from Lovely to Yomi about the damn and information. I liberally sprinkled in existing details from surveillance of the area, and allowed Liadain to pursue the matter, knowing her own sources would validate my findings."

Trias sighed and leaned over to take the gamepiece out of Conidivh's hand to place it back on the board. "They're chipped enough without you dropping one, 'divh. So it's come to using our own alliance members as pawns now, has it?" Trias was shocked by the open laughter from the other man. Laughter from Conidivh was as normally occuring as snow during the height of the most blistering summer in the Searing Gorge.

"What do you mean 'now'? We've used who we've needed for years to secure the continuence of the Alliance. Don't fool yourself into thinking that our methods have grown more noble over the years. The times dictate the actions. If Lovely won't allow herself to be cured or saved, then she allows herself to be used as a bargaining chip."

Trias nodded, still obviously not liking the situation at all.

"Take your ease, friend," Conidivh smiled. "Things are going well, and they will get decidedly interesting soon. I have to meet with Garbhan soon enough to discuss some matters as it is. I'm sure that alone will prove fruitful to the greater scheme."

Trias leaned across the crate on his elbows, his voice and expression all seriousness now.

"And what exactly IS the greater scheme here, 'divh? I've not heard of one overriding Si:7 contigency plan beyond the Second Lordaeron Scenario."

Conidivh snatched up the king piece from Trias' side of the board before the other man could react, and resumed twirling it. "Oh, that IS the greater scheme. Only, in this case, I plan to unleash it against the actual Lordaeron. we'll be using even more of our own yet, and in ways you may not be able to stomach. Good thing that I am more than capable of carrying out the cause that needs to be."
