MISSING ORPHANS

Five children living in the Stormwind Orphanage have gone missing from their beds. Their absence was discovered by the Mistress of the facility early Sunday Morning. The stormwind keep guards report signs of foul-play, and there is an investigation currently under way.
The children's discriptions are as follows:

A set of blonde young male twins with blue eyes
A dark haired young girl with green eyes and freckles
A red haired boy with brown eyes and three missing fingers on his right hand.
A blonde haired little girl with pigtails and blue eyes, younger sister to the twin boys.

Should anyone have information about the missing children, please contact Highlord Fordragon or any inn keeper in the neutral cities.

Ratchet wasn't his favourite place to be, but with all the movement of young Horde to and fro, it made it easier to listen and see if they needed collaring. Villinger dusted his hands as he'd been knocked over by yet another Tauren hell-bent on catching the boat to Booty Bay. He'd left all the big collars at home so that one fellow was very lucky.

That was a point though... Booty Bay. Being so near to Stranglethorn, people seemed to lose it all over the place and even the guards there were incapable of controlling the chaos. Villinger packed his goods and toted his collars on the boat.

When he landed, he checked out the message board to see if there were any interesting ideas he could mock and replace his own posters if they were missing -- which of course they were and one of the posters had been scribbled on where they drew some rather disheartening circles on his chest and a rather ugly mustache.

There was a note that looked very important placed there in some Alliance language. He couldn't read it as writings in common were usually beneath his notice, but he decided to go find someone to read it for him.

Villinger took the note in his hands and pulled it off the post. He scurried to the barkeep in the inn and shoved it in front of his face. After a few silver passed hands, the barkeep translated without looking at the paper. Afterall, he knew all about it. Villinger looked down at the paper just before the barkeep ripped it out of his hands and stalked off to replace it on the message board.

Missing children, eh... Villinger scratched at his neck in thought. It'd be glorious to find out that the Horde has done this. And whomever this culprit is... deserves a visit. Oh yes. Clearly a mastermind.

Karnia was coming out of the Ratchett inn, She was planning to walk up the coast a bit to find a secluded spot and wash some clothes. She stopped and got some fishing bait from the little merchant beside the building, when she noticed a new posting on the tack wall behind his head.

"Hey, whats that new one say?" Karnia asked.

"Bah, something about some missing human children." The goblin replied. He didnt really want to be bothered, he had several nets to mend.

"Human children!? Ive never seen one of those! What do they look like?" SHe asked exitedly.

"Stupid little pink things...Don't waste your time girl." The goblin smirked. "Theyd take off running from you anyway, in case you havent noticed, your about 6 feet tall with fangs."

Karnia licked at her tusks. "They arent fangs. Besides, they must be so scared. Were they seen around here?"

The goblin huffed inpatiently. "Geez Karnia, I dont know anything about it. Here take some more worms, on me, and go be a goody-goody further down the road will ya!"

He came out from behind the counter and gave Karnia's calves a few shoves.

"Alright, alright, ya frickin grump, I'm going." Karnia picked up her basket of stuff and walked down the coastal path. SHe would keep an eye out.

((fuly grown troll females are about the same size as fully grown night elf males, right around 8 feet tall.. if Karnia is 6ft, she really, really small for a troll ;) ))

UPDATE: The missing stormwind children have been pronounced murdered! Investigators state that a feline-like creature snatched the children out of their beds, as evident to a solitary bloody paw print found very near the sceen of the crime. The print was larger then a wild cat, so hunter's pets have been ruled out as suspect. All Druids living in or who were visiting Stormwind durring the night in question are asked to report to Lord Fordragon for interegation.

There is a 50 gold reward for any useful information about the murderer of orphened children. If you have any relevent information, please contact Maegannon Silverbeard of Stormwind. She is currently assisting in the investigation.

Danlyra reads the notice and its updates, placing a hand to her chest. She mumbles as she quietly reads aloud, "All druids living in or who were visiting Stormwind during the night....oh Gods, I hope my sister, Kittsu, isn't stealing orphans for Clys again." Danlyra bites her lip and disappears into a shadow, a frown of worry on her face.

Reading the letter, Amadare tears it from the board, leaving claw marks in the wood. Her eyes have already turned a dull brown as she fights back the rage of the bear. "This is absurd! No Druid even a Feral one as I, would attack Human children!” Shifting to her cat form she heads to find Lord Fordragon.

Walking into the office, her rage is seething, her eyes still have no glow to them. As she slams the torn note down on his desk, Lord Fordragon can see the long hair on the back of Amadare’s hand. “What is the meaning of this! How dare you slander our order with such lies!” Her voice dropping in pitch from a higher night elf voice to a low growling rumble.

Upae

"State your name for the record." said Lord Fordragon.

" Upae." answered the slighty confused looking woman standing before the large marble table, behind which sat the large imposing figure of Lord Fordragon himself.

" Is that it? No family name?" the High Lord looked up from his ledger.

Upae thought for a bit. " We' some in Moon'ade ca' me the Wi'd chi'd " said Upae.

"Come again? " asked Fordragon. " I didn't catch that."

Upae sighed. She concentrated on mouthing the words. " Wi..l..d Chi.l..d "

"Are you drunk?" asked Lord Fordragon with a frown. " Your speech is slurred."

Upae shook her head. " No.. neck injury." and she pulled back her hair to display the jagged, torn bite mark scar over her larynx.

"Ah.. I see. That looks nasty. Now Upae Wildchild, what is your clan affiliation?"

"Tears of the Phoenix." Fordragon nodded and made a notation in the book.

"Where were you on the night in question?"

"The night the chi'dren dissapeared?" asked Upae. Fordragon nodded, looking slightly annoyed that she had asked the obvious.

" I was as'eep in the park. I usua''y s'eep there when Im in Stormwind." said Upae.

Fordragon gazed at her with squinted eyes. " You sleep right there, in the open? No room at the inn? Thats not the safest thing you know. There are also laws in this city against vagrancy. Did you know that?"

Upae shooker her head. " No, didn't know. Sorry. But the druids are a'ways around the moonwe', so its safe. I can hear peop'e comin anyway. I s'eep 'ight. " Upae clears her throat. " s'eep not deep".

" So, as a light sleeper, you heard nothing unusual that night? None of your fellow druids coming to that well to maybe wash up? Did you hear any screams from the Cathedral district? Its nearby you know." The questions came fast, and Upae was hard pressed to answer them all. Mostly she just shook her head.

After what seemed hours but was in fact 15 minutes Lord Fordragon dismissed her.

" Thank you Upae Wildchild. I ask you to remain in the area for the next few days. If you must leave, we will contact your clan to locate you if necessary. We might have some more questions later."

As she left she thought she saw Lord Fordragon put a question mark next to her name in the book.

Malakim

Malakim slams a shot in the tavern of the small goblin outpost. "I tell you Kiwi that dragon didn't look so large from that far away did it?" As he raises another shot to his bird the troll notices a new sign on the wall...

"What's this? Orphans huh." he eyes over the rest of the paper and lets out a small chuckle, "Ha, those silly humans always so stupid as to blame whoever they can but themselves, no wonder those elves left them..."

Kiwi lets out a small chirp. "What's that, what about claw marks?" the pink bird lets out squawk louder than before. "Yes, I do suppose you are right that does sound like it would be right up the alley of say a twisted wizard, one that I believe resides in Shadowfang Keep. I have heard he is working on making more man-wolves"

Malakim crumples up the note and tosses it to the ground, "I wonder how long they will turn on their own till they actually think of those they lost, and not their silly "Justice?""

Trike
11-01-2006, 04:44 PM
Lifting his ale-soaked mug, Trike realized his glass had been sitting on a dampened notice. Wiping the crums and nutshells off of the bulletin, he began to try and focus his drunken glare on the page before him. After stumbling over some of the message, he slowly began to sober up in shock as a slew of images from the night in question suddenly began to run a race through his mind. Over time he was able to fully recall the events of that night....

The night itself began with a trip to the Cathedral District in Stormwind. Thinking himself a Paladin well-versed in the ways of the light, Trike was suprised upon entering the Plaguelands; The Paladins that fought on the frontline of the battle with the undead had learned many ways to wield the light that Trike had never before seen. This left Trike thirsty to learn, and the first errand he ran upon entering Stormwind was back to the Paladins who had first began his training in the ways of the light.

After a hard night of training, Trike hung up his battered practice armour and broken wooden shield on a hook on the wall, placed directly beside his recently shined battle armour. Thoroughly exhausted, he decided to go for a quick walk before he retired for the night. Outside in the night's cool air, his sweat-soaked long red hair gleamed in the moonlight. After a trip to the Inn to say hi to some old friends he headed back to his barracks, only to realize the laces on his boots had come undone.

Stopping at the fountain to tie them, he elevated his foot and placed it on the benches surrounding the sprinkling water, only to catch a glimpse of something moving in the shadows. without letting on to the fact that he was aware something had been there, he tucked his laces in his boots and walked unsuspiciously in the direction of the orphanage. As he slowly paced towards the door he followed the creature in the shadow from the corner of his eye. Watching it dash quickly from corner to corner, knowing that it was watching him.

Suddenly he could no longer see it.

Now excpecting an attack he turned around quickly to where he had last seen the creature, trying frantically to call on the light to shield him. Before he could fully embrace himself in the light he was tackled from behind, sending him crashing to the ground; Luckily his head softened the blow for the rest of his body, crashing with all the momentum of the fall against the hard, stone ground.

Trike woke up an hour or so later and hurried back to his quarters. Thoroughly inspecting his wounds, he found two long claw marks on his back as if he had been attacked by an animal. Oddly enough, after checking his pockets he found that none of the gold aquired from his travels had been stolen.

Realizing what he had just remembered, Trike tossed a more then suitable amount of silver on the table to pay for his drinks, and dumped a large glass of water on his head. Combing his hair hair as he ran through the streets, he thought to himself as to the proper way of addressing Lord Bolvar.
