So what does everybody think about it?

I've been the Rampart a few times. I've also done the Blood Furnace a few times. Did it as Abric, because when attempting with my alliance mage... the rogue and paladin's have *no* clue how to instance.

Hey, nobody else can seem to stay dead, why should he?

But chances are, they'll say Illidan+posse just subdued him, and the such

I saw a place near Fortress Shadowmoon (Illidan's new pad. Odd how he now sits on the Throne of Ner'zhul?) called the Warden's Cage.

This would mean that Maiev might still be alive.

So no.. no one stays dead.

... When did she die? I thought she just ran through the portal after Illidan and was never heard from again.

Was there lore written on it?

Think it was in one of the RP books, it was like, a paragraph or less saying "Yeah, she died.", but I'm thinking that her death and Magtheridon's have been Retconned.

She was killed off-screen.

Alone and abandoned.

Illidan did it himself after Kael'thas released him from his prison as she was taking him back.

Well, perhaps, since it hasn't been blatantly shown, instead of -killing- her, he did something even worse: repayed the favor she did him, and imprisoned her indefinately. I think there's more irony in that than satisfaction in just knowing she's dead.

The pit lord should have stayed dead..

But there should be a quest to set Maiev loose on Illidan ;) That.. would rock.

Any of you do Hellfire Citadel yet?

If not, shut yer yapper. I want some feedback about it! Or questions at the very least... but mostly feedback. I want to know what other people think of it, besides the "that was an awesome run with you," and "I r gte phat lew4txlolzomg."

How's the difficulty of the wings you've visited? Do the mob pulls and bosses actually require some strategy to get through or is it just more of the same old stuff - CC, tank, kill?

EnheilRas

Everything is basically pull, tank, CC, DPS

Everything..

Everywhere..

Ramparts seems too easy to me, although, the few times I've been thru the entire party was geared out well.

Couple of those caster groups of 4 are a challenge w/o a Mage in the group. But they go down pretty fast so not too much to worry about.

Casual gamers will probably find it a challenge the first time or two thru.

Once you have it down it shouldn't take over 30 mins on average to finish it.

Blood Furnace looks like it'll take 1hr 30 min - 2hrs depending upon the group and how well geared they are.

Have fun dodging land mines if you don't have a rogue in the group to disarm them off the engineers...heh

The waves right before the "Metroid" can be challenging, its four groups of fours (3 non-elite, 1 elite for the first group) that come at you and each group gets an additional elite as you go with 4 elites in the final group.

The warlocks w/ the felguard pets can be challenging b/c of the fel's wanting to charge at your ranged members, important to keep everyone tightly packed around the tank and out of charge range to prevent this. Had a healer and hunter who didn't understand this in one of my runs.

The last boss hits hard...lots of shadow dmg and lots of fire dmg. His fire attack is similar to Doan's in the SM Library though, he announces and that's your cue to get the heck out of there. All this on top of the mobs that you have to kill around him. For giggles, his shadow bolt hits me for around 1800 and fire aoe for around 2000+. Good times.

NOTE: Just played through the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne Blood Elf campaign, and in the last chapter, where Illidan and his minions storm the Black Citadel, Magtheridon was in fact NOT KILLED. Yes, in the actuall mission you do "kill" him, but in the following cutscene, he is alive, and Illidan tells him that he is taking control of Outland. I assume he is left alive as a servant to Illidan, and not just killed in the background.

I played TFT recently, as well, just to get my bearings for TBC, and, yes, Magtheridon was not killed.

I just used the cheats, though, to skim through it. Don't really care to do all that junk over again just to go over some of the story.

I do that a lot too, just play through the missions really fast in god mode for a lore refresher. That map I played legit though, it's fun to get some good WC in every now and then, between raiding and other WoW stuff. Reminds me why I first got into the game, and why I'm glad to be here!
