History: Born before the Battle for Mount Hyjal, Amethystine was sent at a young age from her home at Silverwing Refuge to train under the Priestesses of Elune, having discovered her early gift for channeling the light of the goddess. Before the completion of her training, and her coronation as a full-fledged Priestess of the Moon, the Legion's second invasion had begun, and while her family and friends all went into battle at the base of Hyjal itself, she was sent with many of the novices and apprentices to their new, strange allies from across the sea, the Orcs and Humans. With her parents slain during the culminating battle against Archimonde himself, and her brother missing and presumed dead, Ames charged herself with renewed vigor into her studies, and finishing her work under Tyrande, she was anointed a priestess by her kin and set out across the sea with many of her sisters, to seek out their new allies and broaden her knowledge.

For a long time, she stayed at the Church of the Light, and strengthened her own growing powers by drawing on the teachings of the Holy Light and both comparing and complimenting her learnings with those of the Temple of Elune, her healing prowess gaining considerable notice during the campaign into Silithus. It was during the battle against the insect swarms of one Hive cluster, though, that another power broke out from within her, nearly slaying her allies along with her enemies. A near-retreat back to the Alliance front revealed latent Shadow magic had bonded with her soul, effectively dualizing her into both light and darkness. Her acting commander during the failed assault, the human priestess Sarah Whitemane, had vehemently declared the kaldorei corrupted, and even attempted to attack her ally with the Holy Light, only for Ames to absorb the purging fire into healing light. This would not be the last time the two clashed by far.

Later on in life, during the later forays by the Alliance into the broken world of the Outlands, she was taken in by the Dragonguard, a guild of druids and warriors loyal to the Alliance and learned in dragonlore, to storm Medivh's former holdings in Karazhan and ascertain the fate of one of the Azure flight that had apparently fallen there. Harsh battles and dark magicks became a steady regular for her, and she suppressed her Shadow Form less as both healing prowess and destructive ability were required of her in turn to unmake the terrifying ghouls, draconic husks, and even incursive Legion demons. Upon her recall to Azeroth, and reluctantly leaving the Dragonguard, she was assigned instead to the UnHollowed, a close-knit guild of comrades-in-arms. Rising quickly in rank amongst them during the quelling of the Amani, war efforts against two of the Old Gods, and even a last-ditch assault deep into the heart of Icecrown Citadel, Amethystine became as well-known for her combat experience and military prowess as she was for her healing skill and alchemical talent.

Now, she returns to her home-away-from-home in Stormwind, amidst a city rebuilt through the ruin of a Cataclysm, and strives with her guild to destroy the agents of the Twilight Hammer, to fight back the corrupting obliteration that Deathwing's brood are gathering, and to discover a way to cure her brother Jaden'jal of the remnants of their battle in Northrend, and restore him from his Death Knight husk to the proud Kaldorei blademaster he'd been in life.
