View Full Version : Ellsbeth

Ellsbeth
10-19-2006, 07:48 AM
Full Name: Bishop Ellsbeth Moran
Nicknames: Ells - Bishop - Ellsies
Date of Birth: Now a year and 8 months she has been Forsaken. Lived in Lordaeron at the time of Prince Arthas' rise. She was involved in his cult who offered themselves in the hope for power, but ended up being Scourge.
Age: Her human age had been 20-some odd when she succumbed willingly.
Race: Human, but currently Forsaken
Gender: Female
Hair: Bald. Uses the dyed mane of a lion from the Barrens to make up her stitched in wig.
Skin: Pale, ghoulish grey mask. Her jaw has fallen off and so is made up of grisly metal clamps and bars. Most of her body parts are -not- her own and she will not be above picking off bits and pieces here and there for replacement parts.
Eyes: The hollow dark of emptiness.
Height: Mid-sized height of 5'7. She was actually tall for a human female, but then shrunk in the grave.
Weight: With her robes and her gear on she weighs around 150lbs. The sinew and muscle is tight and heavy and she has joint issues which she remedies with metal bars and sprogs.

Place of residence: Undercity
Place of Birth: Deathknell
Known Relatives: Her father, a merchant, died in battle when his ship was converted to a military brig. As for her mother, Ellsbeth does not care what happened to her, the simpering, gold-slavering fool. Having been cloistered for most of her human years, she sometimes misses the Abbesses. She was a choir singer for the Church and when her voice no longer could sustain higher than a soprano, she was part of the altar service and had a core group of friends who did that for many years.

Religion/Philosophy: As a religious follower, Ellsbeth always needs a banner to carry and a leader to worship. Sylvanas is her god and she intends to do whatever it is that makes the Dark Lady happy. A member of the more fanatical arm of the different dioceses of Sylvanas, Ellsbeth is a Bishop in the Cult, which offers its members the promise of Supreme Glory in the coming Forsaken Control should they be pious and partake in the blood of the Alliance.

Since she has left Infection, she is surrounded by non-undead and finds herself very comfortable. Even Forsaken can change their tune.

Occupation: Priest
Group/Guild affiliation: Cult of Sylvanas / Guild: The Grim
Guild Rank: Hatemonger
Enemies: She hates a few, but it's unlikely they hate her. She especially despises Shadow Priest Dwarves. What are they pretending at? Fear Ward. What a bunch of pansies.

Likes: The crunch of bone under her metallic jaw and the juicy taste of soft flesh as it passes her tongue. The giant turtles in the Hinterlands.
Favorite Foods: Dwarven Haddock and Gnomish Chips - A white meat deep fried rather lovely with beer batter. With gnome fingers sauteed until crispy.
Favorite Drinks: Blood
Favorite Colors: Unable to see colour, Ellsbeth has no favourites. She does like the light brightness of the stars and moon over Booty Bay.
Weapons of Choice: Mace with an offhand, preferably a tome so she can preach as she attacks.
Dislikes: The orc she-bitch who kills all the turtles in the Hinterlands. It is her most hated thing in the world and hopes to one day be able to do something about it. As a side note... that orc she bitch is no longer there. So all is right in the world. Ellsbeth also hates those who will not help her summon the Ice Lord when defending Alterac Valley.
Hobbies: Making bags for others and wandering around trying to find meaning.

Physical Features: With most of her own body intact, Ellsbeth has retained many of her features as a human. She wasn't beautiful, but had a certain haughty superiority about her then and so is it now. She's more apt to frown, as that was how her jaw was set. Her hands are little more than claws now, which makes it difficult to turn pages without tearing them.

Special Abilities: An innate ability to sleep heal through Botanica.
Positive Personality Traits: Truly caring. Despite her acerbic nature and her angry hatred, she does care about those she loves and will wreak revenge on those who hurt them.
Negative Personality Traits: Easy to anger and hatred. Impatient and easy to offend. Thinks ill of most others before she gets to know them. Too wrapped up in her tomes and busy with her sermons that fall of deaf ears.
Misc. Quirks: Doesn't like to jump.

Played by What Famous Person: A young Maggie Smith
Theme Songs: Current one for RP reasons: Shadowland from The Broadway Lion King.

History:
In life, Ellsbeth Moran was the daughter of a rich merchant (likely brigand) who pampered his wife with many gifts purchased (likely stolen) from far-off places, but still she would not bear him a son. Her mother claimed the many miscarriages on the fact the house was noisy with a young child about and not because of her constantly drunken status and the flings with farriers and the like. Ellsbeth was shunted to a cloister in order to get schooling and possibly learn some religious piety.

At the Church, Ellsbeth was bright and devoured all the knowledge she could, but she was apt to desire power before the Light and found herself reprimanded time and again by the Abbesses. She learned quickly to hide her misbegotten deeds and sought out others who desired the same thing as she. It wasn't difficult for most of the troublemakers and riffraff of her choir were of a mind. They formed a group, practicing and playing with dark shadow. Until a good friend was discovered by the hidden group of Arthas and he convinced them all to go. For years they were loyal, doing his dark deeds and killing where necessary with the goal of finally getting the power they always dreamed of.

They offered themselves to the Lich King.

While in Scourge form, no doubt Ellsbeth did many horrifying things. She has little memory of it, save for fighting spiders. Many many spiders.

Risen again, Ellsbeth is very loyal to the Dark Lady. For awhile she was partnered with Contaminator, but that fell through in Outlands. New allegiances, new alliances, and new promises she is aging and accepting that age with more grace than she could newly risen.

"Huh. I have not had the pleasure of meeting her. I know her name because she requested a meeting to speak about joining our ranks and her letter impressed me greatly. I searched for her quite a bit and when I found her, she was already guilded. I was disappointed to say the least."

"Ellsbeth is a very respectable forsaken. She is one I miss greatly within the ranks of Infection- she was truly an asset to our order."

Nothing a surefire headbutt to the skull couldn't fix.

"...Strange. I swear she came on to me a few times, which would be a first in my book. An undead woman...?"

Fhenrir shudders.

"A brilliant priestess, and a genuinely good person. Her betrayal came as a complete suprise, and struck very near to my heart, reminding me that I still have one. She seems uncomfortable around me now, though I doubt I make it any easier on her with my intimidating presence, and my attitude towards traitors. If only she could see what changes we have made, perhaps she would consider rejoining us, where she truly belongs and is wanted..."

Never met her, but that isn't to say much I haven't met many Forsaken let alone a Lady...

I remember long ago seeing that fledgling priest in Brill. She has done well for herself and grown powerful. Politics aside, if she needs my blades, they are hers.

Ellsbeth chuckles and winks, 'Have I got him fooled!'

Malakim

Ellsbeth

Turning to the goblin reporter who showed her Malakim's response she chuckles, 'Oh ... I could always use a hunter from time to time.'

Sorry I don't preform sexual favors for Forsaken... Necrophilia kinda freaks me out :D

"Yes, I believe I met her once, and only once, an excruciatingly long time ago. I believe it was it was one of those quillboar caves in the Barrens we were questing through, not the one with all the undead. Had a good time. We said we would keep in contact and speak to one another again from time to time. We never did. Haven't seen her since. I wasn't quite the master engineer I am now back then..."

Jobolg quickly places his mind-control cap on his head and grins mischievously at the reporter.

"I've always been a super-genius though! Go get me some ice cream. Now. The good stuff."

"No, I have not met this one. But I will take note of the name. As you can imagine, I like to keep track of religious radicals and their activities.

Possessed by a banshee you say? Well, I can help with that. I've had some considerable experience with Exorcisms. "

I have finally impressed this one with my hunter skills, about time someone noticed. I swear people just don't have an appreciation for archery like they used to, for shame. That and her heals feel all tingly

I count myself fortunate to have been able to know the Bishop. She is not only a fierce ally, but a source of great counsel and wisdom. She is quite the force to be reckoned with.

Wonderful little cadaver, truly. I greatly enjoyed watching her teach her lessons. The most polite forsaken woman I have ever met. My second favorite Grim.

"I have only impressions of Ellsbeth, as we have spoken all too little, but they are positive. She seems altogether fragile, and yet, I know for a fact that she is strong as any Tauren warrior. She has a power and a faith that I envy, and yet, somewhere inside ME lingers some vestigial chivalry, a desire to protect HER, as unnecessary and likely unwanted as it is. I regret that I do not know her better, and I suspect I will, in the future, regret that I never did."
