A small wood and stone kiosk, just outside the door to Bruuk's Tavern, has the above words embossed in mithril lettering along the topmost edge of the western side. The letters are not large, but the firelight reflections in the mithril can be seen across the Military Ward of Ironforge. Three sides of the kiosk are plastered with a thin layer of tin for postings, divided with shelves and drawers for forms and letters, and littered with large numbers of small iron tacks, white stationary and unused seals. Words such as "Ironfist Company" and "OpOrders" label many of these compartments, written in rough dwarvish script, and the boards are worn from use.

But the western side of the kiosk, facing the forge, carries the mithril letterings above a large bronze plaque, on which the following is engraved:

This Kiosk is Hereby Dedicated for the Exclusive Use of the Ironforge Regiment. The Sacrifices of the Regiment have defended the Council of Three Hammers and Khaz Modan with Lasting Valor and Steadfast Character. The Dwarves of Ironforge, the Bronzebeard Clan, the Senate, and Council of Three Hammers Owe these Regimenters for the Safety of Our Mountain.

OOC: The Ironforge Regiment is a primarily Dwarf guild focusing on Military style role-play and we are seeking more able bodied Dwarves to join us in the struggle against the Horde. Guild chat is In Character and promotion through the ranks requires solid effort to Role-play and to join in guild events, which take place every thursday at 2000 hrs Ironforge time. Level limitation starts at level 10, and you can expect help from higher level regimentals when you ask for it. The Regiment is a huge fan of world PVP and you will find us launching raids and assaults against horde towns and cities whenever we have enough bodies to do so. If your into taking the fight to horde, getting drunk and engaging in bare knuckle boxing, the Ironforge Regiment is the place for you.

Please feel free to contact any member of the regiment and they will direct you to an Officer or Master Sergeant who can sign you to the charter. If none are online, please send a letter to myself (Bjorni), Captain "Brynmor" Stonebones, or Master Sergeant "Edsger", and we will sign you up as soon as we are online.

Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield!

Axe High!

Soldiers!

Private Slouyezdirsa here, reporting in on the happenings of the Patrol in the Wetlands.

We met up in Menethil Harbor, on the docks- seaside. After a checking of the uniform, we geared up and sent Bjorni off to scout, going off after him in tow. The events preceeding were not many until we neared Dun Modr, where we sighted a Blood Elf. We took her down with relative ease- only two injuries, and many of us were in the lower seasons. After that, we went through Dun Modr and assaulted a compount. During a break in the assault, we gathered and saw a flying enemy. Umina took after her over the Thandol Span bridge. She acted as though she was after someone, but could not find them, and then had an idea as to where they'd be. She charged the Horde Stronghold in the Arathi Highlands.

I, having been following her, tried to stop her to no avail, upon which I and the whole Regiment available attempted to storm the stronghold with her in order to keep her alive. We failed miserably- all were injured. We were barely able to extract, but upon doing so, we got to Refuge Pointe. Upon arrival there, I reported on the situation with Umina, giving out the details of our earlier encounter where I began courting her and promised never to leave her. I also said I had no clue about her plan, and would accept any punishment, upon which time Captain Brynmor promoted me to Private.

After that, we were dismissed to Bruuk's bar in Ironforge for some after-Patrol entertainment.

Signed,
Private Slouyezdirsa.

Captains report on Wetlands Patrol

The Regiment mustered on the docks of Menethil Harbour, our goal being to patrol the Wetlands in search of members of The Reliquary, who often poach dwarven artifacts from the muck and mire of the swamps. Present were myself, Lieutenant Bjorni Bloodfist, Sergeant Glymm Stormwing, and several fresh recruits.

We moved east along the road until we came upon an orc presence. They were routed out, and through a running battle, we cleared their position neatly. We then moved north, rallying at the Greenwarden’s Grove. After a brief respite, we continued north towards Dun Modr. Before we arrived, Lieutenant Bloodfist, who had been scouting the area on Gryphonback radioed that he had sighted a Blood Elf. The Regiment moved to engage, and managed to fell the enemy suffering only two injuries. We then proceeded to Dun Modr, with Lieutenant Bloodfist in the air once more. Upon arrival, we found a nest of Twilight Cultists had taken over the down. The new recruits didn’t hesitate, charging in bravely.

One of the recruits reported another sighting, and headed north along the Thandol Span. The rest of us followed double time. We met difficulties in the Arathi Highlands. The Regiment was scattered, and despite orders, the Recruit, Umina, refused to relent. She ended up charging towards Hammerfall, where she fell in battle. One Slouyezdirsa, another recruit, made valiant efforts in attempting a rescue. Once the rest of the Regiment arrived, we engaged the Horde Grunts, but were repelled by another Blood Elf. I expect she was the same sniper as the last venture into Hammerfall.

We fell back, none escaping injury. The fate of Recruit Umina is unknown at this time. We made for Refuge Point. Once in safety, for meeting all requirements and performing well under duress, Recruit Slouyezdirsa was promoted to Private.

The Regiment was provided with transportiation via Gryphon to Ironforge, and was dismissed to Bruuk’s.

Despite the undisciplined actions of Recruit Umina, the Patrol was a success.

A New Command
Under the eyes of the Council of Three Hammers, the Ironforge Regiment underwent a change of command. General Paderick, a long time serving and valiant member of the Regiment turned over his officers baton and duties to Brynmor Stonebones. Brynmor was then sworn into service by Muradin Bronzebeard who reinforced the Regiments mission and new responsibilities within the Council of Three Hammers.

Brynmor, upon completion of his promotion, then promoted Bjorni Bloodfist as his second in command. The two have been suggesting strong changes within the regiment and it seems now, with Brynmor at the helm, many of those changes will be coming.
