Danlily opened her mailbox. She was flipping through the usual trash from the goblins selling anything and everything “new and improved” when the thick envelope bearing the seal of the RAS caught her attention. She turned it over. It was addressed to Dr. Danlily DeStrasza. She gave herself a half smile. She was proud of her surgical work. She was elated every time one of the great Apothecaries took time out to show her something new, to teach her more than her basic doctorate work she’d earned in Hammerfall. That privilege meant a lot to her. She slipped a long claw-like nail under the wax seal and stepped aside from the crowd at the mailbox to read the letter inside.

Dr. DeStrasza,
As you know, we are working on a series of variations of the plague. We have come upon one that may be of interest to you as it has some of the properties that you and your Mistress Clys are seeking in your own research. This particular strain inflicts undeath upon the host once infected, however, there is a very long delay in the damage it does to the organs and tissues. We have been working on extending that delay to the damaging of the internal organs, but as it is not really our interest and it is yours, we thought perhaps you would like to further study this and test it for us.

We will provide you with the strain, one portion for your studies, and a second larger portion for the mass testing. We suggest the dwarves of Loch Modan. The lake there is perfect for massively distributing this strain variation to a large amount of subjects. If this latest synthesis of the plague is a success, the horde will have immortal dwarven slaves that can be passed on for generations much like silver dinnerware. On the other hand, if the test subjects reject the timing element of this new strain and their organs begin to decay, well a few less dwarfs for the roasting pan, but they will assuredly breed more for us so no harm done.

May the Dark Lady bless you,
Master Faranell,

The Royal Apothecary Society

Danlily folded the letter and placed it back in the envelope. Plans had already begun spinning within her head. The weekend of the next full moons would be perfect. Yes. Perfect.

((World event, all RP guilds invited, time to be announced))

A letter arrives at the door of each of the Horde guilds, sealed with the symbol of the two-headed snake, the sign of The Immortalis.

Esteemed leaders of the Horde:

The Royal Apothecary Society has tasked The Immortalis with testing a plague variant upon the inhabitants of Loch Modan. We intend to introduce this new strain into the waters of the Loch. This will be taking place in approximately two weeks, at the time of the full moons. The exact time will be revealed to you shortly.

I am calling on you who are interested to join with us in this task. Begin your planning now; muster your forces and get the word out.

Feel free to contact me or Danlily for more details as the time grows closer.

Yours in service to the Horde,

Mistress Clys Nex'Cruor
Leader, The Immortalis

(( ooc: this will be a large-scale PvP event, the weekend of February 11-12. Exact time still to be determined. Please let me know if any in your guild are interested in taking part ))

Lupa was just mounting up her raptor, ready to proceed onwards to her much put off hunting trip to Winterspring when Stonewalker, the young Tauren druid ran up to her in a rush.
"Lupa, wait! This was just dropped off by special Horde courier"..

Lupa reach out and took the sealed envelope from the tauren and examined it. It was sealed with the symbol of the two-headed snake, the sign of The Immortalis. Intrigued, she broke the seal and read the contents..

Lupa folded the parchment and placed in inside her pack. "I must deliver this to Torg ". With a sigh she realized her hunting trip will have to wait once again.. She thanked Stonewalker and made off to find Torg. The orc was not an easy quarry to pin down these days. Citadel's brave soldiers were often far afield of late.

"Oola, she is the key", thought Lupa. If the undead priestess could be contacted, she would certainly know Torg's whereabouts. As Torg's chief spiritual advisor and councillor, she would be able to shed her own unique perspective on these developments. She was also deeply familiar with the inner workings of the RAS.

With her mind deeply occupied with these thoughts, Lupa rode off towards the Orgrimmar Zeppelin Tower..

Danlily checked her plans, went over her maps. She had contacted Karkarov and had sent letters out to Horde Guild leaders as had Clys. She fretted a bit in the news that the goblin arms dealer had leaked the information out, but what could a few tree-hugging alliance do against the forces of the united-horde of the Nether Council? She allowed herself a wicked smile. This saturday at 9pm under the light of Azaroth’s two full moons, the tainting of Loch Modan would begin and the first major test of the immortality serum would begin.

((I am itching to get a second crack at you two jokers....

In all seriousness though, I am looking forward to to this as it sounds very fun. Plus my pal Sahib gets to break out his gnomish diving helm which is hilarious.))

Brakogar

Brakogar returned to his private chambers exhausted after another great victory against the Alliance at Hillsbrad. The Alliance had gathered over forty fighters in an attempt to slaughter everyone in Tarren Mill, but the Horde quickly responded to requests for reenforcements and soon the Alliance had been pushed back all the way back to South Shore, the few alliance that survived quickly scaped like cowards by Gryphon.

"I will never underestimate the Power of Chain Lightning, the Warchief was right as always, it can turn the tide of a battle."

Brakogar then noticed a letter with the seal of the Inmortalis in his study table. He opened it with curiosiosity and as he read it his facial expressions changed from puzzlement to concern and finally to eagerness.

"I do not like the idea of defeating your enemies through poison as there is no glory or honor in such things, but this does give us the opportunity to meet those wretched dwarves in face to face in combat and make them pay."

Brakogar then clenched his fist while still holding the letter.

"We shall take the fight to the heart of their homelands and make them pay for violating our borders with their wreckless scavations but most of all they will die fo defiling the sanctity of Alterac Valley!"

"I shall inform Danlily inmediately of the Frostwolf Brotherhood's support for this assault and that we look forward to crushing the heads of all the Dwarves there."
