Malebrignon
10-16-2006, 05:01 PM
Full Name:
Cyrus Cobratiis III , Malebrignon of Persania Opa (Dominant persona)
Braegor Ashladen (submissive persona, spirit of host body)
Nicknames: Brig, Briggy
Date of Birth: N/A, forgotten.
Age: lost count. Around 900 years old.
Race: Forsaken-raised Undead. Formerly human.
Gender: Male
Hair: Blonde
Skin: None
Eyes: dull white or bright purple depending on the dominant personality
Height: just under six feet tall. Braegor is only about 5’6” due to slouching.
Weight: about 90 lbs soaking wet.
Place of residence: Maintains an office in the Undercity’s apothecarium. Usually stays in Kargath, though, to sift the ruins of his former home.
Place of Birth: Malebrignon was not “birthed” here. Braegor was from a small farming village in what is now the Western Plaguelands.
Known Relatives: None.
Religion/Philosophy: Malebrignon is not a priest. He worships nothing and has very little faith in anything. Before crashing here, he was a lich and necromancer of immense power. As the laws of necromancy on Azeroth are extremely different from his homeworld, he has learned to bend the power known as “the Light” to his will and harness it for his own nefarious purposes.
Occupation: Enchanter. Arcane Researcher. Mercenary liaison.
Guild affiliation: Decimate
Guild Rank: Instigator
Enemies: All Alliance. A good amount of the Forsaken. Malebrignon and Braegor both agree that full loyalty to the Horde is key for the survival of all of Azeroth.
Likes: Malebrignon likes: wealth, power, necromancy, death, destruction, enchanting.
Braegor likes: boys, paddle-balls, gambling, humor, fine foods.
Favorite Foods: Malebrignon will occasionally eat a maggot or three. Braegor loves anything that’s expensive and time-consuming to prepare.
Favorite Drinks: Braegor loves honey mead. That’s all I got.
Favorite Colors: Both favor Black, Purple, and Red.
Weapons of Choice: Malebrignon prefers a staff; Braegor likes hammers. Both are practical enough to use what’s available.
Dislikes: Greed. People who talk to much. Lies. Betrayal. He’s very honest and generous for someone who otherwise embraces most evils.
Hobbies: Various scientific research projects. Awhile back he spent a month trying to figure out the exact composition of the “water” in the Undercity.

Physical Features: A skinless skeleton, Malebrignon covers as much of his body as he can. His only vanity is a hair treatment that keeps his hair blonde instead of white. All his bones are intact and he has recently taken to washing his robes and polishing his visible bones.
Special Abilities: Maintains a scrying pool for looking in on his allies. He must have collected tissue from them in some way to scry upon them, though the smallest flakes of skin will suffice. Basically, I can’t scry people I’ve not met in person. This is an ability that is rarely used and only for storyline purposes. I’d forgotten about it until the question was posed!
Positive Personality Traits: Overly generous. Knows when to shut up and heal.
Negative Personality Traits: Extremely unpredictable. Braegor’s words are often overturned by Malebrignon after the fact, causing all sorts of chaos. Braegor is also extremely cowardly and will run from any fight where the numbers are against him, even, say, 3 on 4.
Misc. Quirks: Split Personality. Addicted to enchantment. Will get a huge “rush” from it and behave strangely for awhile if he’s gone without enchanting for too long.
Played by What Famous Person: Robert Englund
Theme Songs: Aint’ That a Kick in the Head – Dean Martin

History: Check the Nether Legends forum. There’s a couple of tales there explaining both personalities’ history.

"He seems a bit cheery for a Forsaken. A rare trait, though everything with him is a bit... off. Theres something un-natural about him other than the fact that he's Forsaken."

" Mal a wha? .. No, I've never heard that name. What is he?

A.. Forsaken? Ah well that explains it. No. Don't know him. I met a toymaker once, called Brigmalion, but I doubt thats him. This guy was a pasty faced human trying to sell me something called a paddleball.

I sincerely doubt any Forsaken Lord like this fellow your asking about would dabble in toys! hehe... I mean really.. "

Malebrignon....I know that name. Lovely told me she encountered him once when she was first training, and that the two actually communicated. Lovely does have a soft spot for the Forsaken though, but if she says he is a decent person, I can't help but trust her instinct. If I ever see him, I'll watch him before I judge whether or not to attack.

*pops his neck hard to the left*

There are few Forsaken whom so dearly strive to earn equality as a Citizen in Orgrimmar. This is one of those few.

"I love a good con," says Phia with a grin, "And Malebrignon is the most accomplished con man I've ever met. He comes across kinda playful and harmless with his paddle-ball an' his nutty horse. People just eat it up!"

"But between you an' me -- and keep this to yourself -- once you've spent some time around him, you start t' see somethin' workin' beneath it all. That mop of dirty blonde hair hides a keen an' calculatin' mind unlike anything I've ever seen before."

"I'm certain he's plotting something. I donno what, but it ain't your usual 'con-the-peon-outta-his-paycheck' scam. It's gonna be big! An' I hope I'm still on his side when the pay-off hits, whatever it is!"

"Mal has been a staunch ally to the Grim for as long as I can remember. I cannot recall the last time we marched to battle without the priest and his soldiers among our ranks. I do not his personal motivations, but he and Decimate will always be honored among our halls."

"Hm, I don't know Brig that well. He comes to battle with us a lot, but he's usually kinda quiet. He does his job and doesn't cause a fuss about anything. Sometimes I don't even know he's there until he picks me up off the ground after a bad fall."

'Brig has been my companion ever since I returned to Lordaeron. We seem to alternate places a lot, switching between the guide and the follower, but it's that relationship that has allowed us to survive through various situations we've gotten ourselves into. He and Decimate have always been one of the few sources of support I have in this world and my wretched state.

This is an odd one. He seems almost too friendly at times. Especially when Domo is smacking him in the head. Makes me wonder how many other times he's been hit on the head.

"...Confusing. I haven't been able to figure him out when I've talked to him, but at least Leyujin seems to like him."

"I look forward to seeing Brig among our ranks when we enter battle in the most dangerous of places. Quiet and unassuming, he speaks when his words have meaning. A skilled priest he is...though he has a tendency to slip into the Nether at the most inopportune times."

My conversation with Malebrignon was less than I expected. It has reminded me of the councils of old, when the lands of the Betrayer were the ruling hand of the Seven. I am aware, just as he is, of the fragile ground we tread.

He know of our purpose, but that is a reason why we have sought him out. While his people may be of use... he is my primary goal. I am sure the whore would not agreed, at least in full, though that is expected of her birthright.

I will be confronting him soon enough, though his patience must be tested. I do not trust someone who can stare me in the eye, without being a fool or one infected with madness. So few are there who see the Truth.

I have never seen someone heal through a dragon quite like that, what can I say? I am very impressed with this walking dead.

Hummm... evah since ma' early days in da Horde, Malebrignon served as an ancha o' sorts. Ah doubt ah kin say dat about many Forsaken. It seems too dat e's gained in skill an' powah since da time ah first met 'im... an' while gainin' powah is ta be expected, skill be not. Dat right der is worthy o' respect, no mattah who da person be.

I find 'Brig to be somewhat of an enigma. I enjoy his company none-the-less.

"Malebrignon has tutored me on more than one occasion, and he now stands as my superior within the Grim. I have no doubt that he will succeed admirably."
