His skin has adopted a green tinge from the moss that grows on his body; he frequently "shaves" the moss off, instead painting his face with his tribal markings-- a green circlet on his forehead, and his chin painted dark green, with his lower lip alternating stripes of the chin's paint and white dabs.

Despite being raised as simple labor in an internment camp and the general low intelligence rate of his kind, Baku is a learned troll. He spent a lot of time studying the histories in Dalaran, as well as his memories of eavesdropping on humans talk about their knowledge. While not as well-versed as the more civilized races, he knows a good deal more than the average troll.
Another gripe he often displays is his disdain for arcane magic. While he won't shun an arcanist, he often states that "dey mojo-arcane lack da soul".
He also frequently wears an eye-patch, in order to foster interest in strangers. He often uses it as a ploy to create some huge, over-the-top war story before revealing that he still has both his eyes.
History:
Born a year prior to the Second War, Baku was raised in the internment camp now known as Hammerfall. He was the son of a beserker of the Witherbark tribe, and raised in the Horde; while the bulk of the Witherbark tribe severed ties with the orcs, his family stayed within the Horde due to circumstances-- that being that they were prisoners of war alongside the orcs.
While held in Hammerfall, Baku learned the arts of the witch doctor from Naua, a fellow Witherbark troll. He learned to speak to the loa and the elements. By his tribes tradition, he adopted his mentor's name and became known as Baku'Naua.
After he was released from his internment by Ogrim, Thrall, and their forces, he remained in the Horde instead of returning to Witherbark Village with his family. He decided that if he was raised in the Horde, it would be stronger to him than the Witherbark tribe he barely knew. Although he lives within the Horde's arms, he has a strong connection to his tribe and acts as an emissary on behalf of the Witherbark.
Recent:
With the transgressions of the new warchief Hellscream against the trollish representative Vol'jin, Baku has furthered his ties to the Horde; without the man who saved him from the internment camp at the head, the Horde meant nothing to him anymore. However, he remains in Orgrimmar as a representative of his tribe and to be near his spiritual brothers of the Earthen Ring.
