I don't know what you guys got, but at least for my class this stat is AWESOME.

Reforged everything to give me mastery level and ho-damn. It's redic. 40% deep healing (that's 2x as much as base. I can get 30K+ Greater healing waves), and on the elemental side, 30% chance (up from 16% or something) to procc an overload (which by the way effects lava burst), which equalized it to my 30% crit chance. I can get upwards of 11k lava bursts following 6.5k overloads (which also share the auto crit on flameshocked target). You do the math.

How do you guys feel about your mastery? Suck? Great? Have you even tried stacking it yet?

I have mine at 10%. I've been considering making everything mastery but I am not sure yet. I obviously haven't read EJ about anything since the patch.

Block is a PvE talent, sadly :(

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much elemental damage.
20% base, plus another 1% for every point of mastery
I think I'm at like......37% extra damage with fire, frost and nature.
which works really well with Operation: Everything but a healer, lava burst crits with a stormstrike debuff and lava shock on do a fuckload of damage.

Mastery no bueno for rets, mega rng based and ita not worth losing all put crit.

Holy mastery is sick though

From what I have read Holy mastery is pretty terrible for healadins right now. Since HL is cast so much, ~1k bubbles really aren't worth giving up the regen/throughput. Gem for Int., reforge for spirit or haste depending on your regen.

Of course this is PvE. In PvP - I still doubt having a 1k bubble is as valuable as the regen/haste, but what do I know.

That being said - the druid, shaman, hunter, warrior, warlock ones all seem pretty freaking sweet.

It really depends on class and spec atm, being as you have to pick and choose which stat to reforge. Once we see mastery as a stat on gear it'll be a diff game. For frost DK's though HOLY SHIT. Fully reforged to mastery my FS and HB can hit almost as hard as my Oblit crits - around 12k.

On another note, Reforging is the bee's knees. Really adds a layer of depth to customization. I love it.

Thanks, I was about to ask if it would even be worth it for me to use mastery, don't have to worry haha

I went all Mastery just for giggles and haven't gone back.

41% boost to my shields. I'm down for that.

for survival sake in pvp, I think ten percent is worth it. I find my self never casting holy light. It's either instant casts, flash of light of divine whatever the new spell is called. Depending on the crit, it could apply more than one thousand damage absorption. Also, it is passively re-applied for every cast. I haven't number crunched. It's all speculation.

Szordrin, my feeling is that our mastery will be much more valuable at 85. Right now I didn't even feel like bringing it above the 8% base because I don't want to reforge any PvP stats for it. I could, however, reforge crit into mastery on my PvE gear, which I am considering.

Your holy paladin gear has crit, doesn't it? I reforged my crit and spirit into Mastery. It doesn't take all of the stat away.

I only reforged crit to mastery on PVP gear. You dont get the option to reforge resil. And.. quite honestly I feel like crit is somewhat useless but just a bonus right now.

crit rocks for shock though

which is why I wouldn't reforge anything on PvP gear

Yeah I'm a Rogue and REALLY wishing I could Reforge my Crit to my Mastery since it'll up my poison damage a crap ton... but alas, I don't want to lessen my I think it's 44 or 43% Crit Chance because It tends to rip people's faces off. *sigh* If only... lol

I'm getting conflicting information about Prot Paladin mastery and whether or not it's actually any good.

I had reforced to have around 15, which resulted in a 30% bonus to block, but how that bonus actually applied is what's conflicted in what I've looked up as well as been told.

I assumed it increased block rating, which it didn't seem to do much for. I was told it increased amount of damaged absorbed/blocked when blocks were successful.

So, I'm trying out taking out all mastery and putting it towards expertise, and making up for the last few points of hit I need to not miss.

Any advice on that area of mastery I'm more than open to accepting. Been finding dungeon grinding either going really well, or really badly, but I attribute the "really badly" times as the fault of druid healers wanting to DPS instead of keep my paladin alive.

Other than that... mastery for a BM or survival hunter, holy or disc priest... what are the thoughts of investing in those? I haven't spent much time on either class to really test much out.
