I posted this because you can actually see folks walking around in the game in full Tier 4. The screenshots just don't do them justice - my respect for my class' Tier 4 jumped tremendously after seeing a black vortex with tiny purple lightning bolts surrounding it at all times.

I will not rest until I have all of Lock T4... But Felheart tides me for now! :P

Feedback time!

All the caster ones look sexy, but the pulsing on the priest shoulders give me seizures.

A little dissapointed that hunter and warrior look almost identical, just a slight change in the shoulders and helm.

Warlock is damn sexy, but the helm makes me giggle.

I'm really dissapointed in the rogue armor and shammy armor. Rogue looks like a re-skinned tier-3 sans helm, and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a tier 2 and tier 4 shammy.

But the caster ones are sexy.

It's very cool seeing them on video. You don't see the special effects on screenshots. Love it, thanks Daala. *hugs*

The T2 and T4 actually look a lot different. Each of the sets so far have been attributed to one of the elements. Earthfury - Earth, Ten Storms - Lightning, Earthshatter - Fire, T4 - Water.

The quality isn't that great, so it's hard to make it out, but the shoulders on them have a flowing graphic, as if water was moving across them.

I've noticed that warlock headpieces are increasingly disfiguring.

T1 has horns but preserves facial features.

T2 has horns and a veil concealing most of the face.

T3 completely conceals the face but depicts one in its place.

T4 completely conceals the face with a faint impression of eyes, maybe mouth.

Eh, the warriors' doesn't look particularly ugly, so I'm happy I suppose. I'm more concerned with cool damage-dealing gear anyway, like the badass polearm(?) on his back.

The warlocks' set made my jaw drop. Sooooo damn cool.

The shamans' sets haven't looked very shamanish to me since T2 anyway.

I really dislike the warlock set. Of course, that might have something to do with it being showcased on a human male, as everything looks ugly on them, but yeah... I don't know. Doubt I'll have to worry about it since I don't think I'll make it past T2 (Though I ADORE Plagueheart).

I agree with Fhenrir on the shamans; their sets look decreasingly... shamanistic.

I love how the hunter and warlock sets theme the creatures/areas from where they are obtained. Warlocks a bit more metaphorically, but yeah.

I WILL have that set...

I cant WAIT for my T4...I'm prolly going to skip T3 all together, since I think the warlock set is the ugliest thing in the world....though Im still looking forward to visiting Naxx anywho.

As usual every class that always gets a nice looking set gets another new, unique, and cool set. The classes that dont though get more unoriginal recycled armor or just ugly/plain crap. Tier 4 warrior is just tier 3 except a rehash of the tier 3 hunter helm and red instead of dark blue? Preist set looks nice, but once again, it is just a reskinning with new colors of armor already in game... Mage is the worst, it looks completely plain except for the one shoulder the rest of it looks like it could be level 56 blues.

Note: While I think the shaman set looks nice, I fail to see anything in it that makes me think shaman. Space alien invader maybe but not shaman. The druid set looks interesting but on a night elf appears extremely dorky. That could just be the night elf. I expect it is much better on a tauren.

Mage? A bit boring, yes.

I love the Warrior armor though Especially the helm.

I'd call mage T4 unassuming.

"What's that out there? .. Mage with crappy looking armor? Oh ok...

OMGWTF4000frostboltcritDEATH!"

Keraph

Yeah, I could see that as a strong possibility, especially considering you likely get the pieces in Outland, home of demons.

Gavril

...you forgot Cryptstalker, Zust.

And Demonstalker sounds stupid. So, chances are, it'll be something more along the lines of Felstalker or somesuch.

plus, as I mentioned, the hunter and warlock sets are themed according to where they are obtained, and therefore they are fairly predictable. Atleast, the tier sets; I don't see a correlation with beaststalker.

Im glad the mages got something a bit more boring...im sure they're happy to after their t2 and t3 omgflamer sets with retarded shoulders.

I've heard it called Felstalker before. I think that's a good possibility.

As far as I know they all come from tempest keep. The place where Illidan is supposed to be the final boss.

Illidan is in the Black Citadel/Temple. Kael'Thas holds Tempest Keep.

just glad to get a GOOD looking non-black rogue set for once.

I'm so happy, a mage set that doesn't scream "Look at me, I was the target for a game of paint ball... and they used glow in the dark paint too!"

Karkarov
10-18-2006, 08:28 AM
My mistake then. Either way what I read made it clear the tier 4 is from whatever dungeon illidan is in. At least... for now it is. Who knows what may change between patches and release.

Eh, who knows? They might drop from both places, or more.
