Burning Crusade, Holy guild backstory; HELP!

HI, I am trying to write a backstory for my guild, Elune's Gauntlet, but I am having trouble with the timelines. So far what we have is that during a battle, (need name of big battle) Where many died, There was only a small group of people left, and they had to retreat, A night elf who had managed to save a good bit of his guild (need name of somewhat obscure night elf hero) decided to bring in the few remaining survivors was well. There were many more skirmishes fought and many more of the group died. Leaving the leader, and 4 paladins from other races. 1 human, 2 dwarves, and 1 Draenei. (need reason for Draenei to be in group. Where in the timeline did the Draenei team up with the alliance/ or when did the Alliance come to outlands) Anyways, there is another battle where the NE uses his magic to save the group, and sacrificing himself. To the group it seems like divine intervention. So now there are only the 4 Pallys left, and they decide to keep the guild name, Elune's Gauntlet, alive as a tribute to this heroic NE as well as a reminder to what happened during this time. Depending on how long ago this happened, we figured that the guild was passed down to descents of the original Paladins that were in the battle, at least on the Human side. Since the other 2 races are VERY long lived. So, if ANYONE can help me with the timeline, facts, and other gaps in the story, that will fit well into the game I, and my guild would appreciate it. Elune's Gauntlet sounds more like a Nelf guild than a Paladin guild >.>

Perhaps one could infer that the guild was once part of the Night Elf priesthood before they conscripted remnants of the Silver Hand into this splinter group to fight the Burning Legion in the Third War, then the group remained mostly incognito until the re-opening of the Dark Portal, or something of that nature, and works alongside groups like the Argent Dawn or Shattered Sun. That's just me flexing my creative muscles to lore-bend, though. Still, it's your story, so whatever works for you.

Where in the timeline did the Draenei team up with the alliance/ or when did the Alliance come to outlands
The Draenei became part of the Alliance around the same time the Dark Portal reopened (beginning of the Burning Crusade, ~2 in-game years ago). A small alliance force went to Outland in the WC2 expansion (~19 in-game years ago). That Alliance, however, consisted of dwarves, high elves, and humans. Night Elves hadn't been discovered yet. They had been trapped there until the portal reopened.

While the Night Elves are long-lived creatures (up until recently being immortal), they've only been involved for like 6 to 7 in-game years.
