View Full Version : A Message to the "nobles" of the Sin'dorei.

Random letters were thrown about Silvermoon City, as well as sent to the Regent Lord.
To the "nobles" of Silvermoon City, and of the Sin'dorei,
My name is Saruron Shadowhisper. I am a Kal'dorei, and a high-ranking Priest in service of Tyrande. I have come to inform you that your city is in danger of collapsing upon itself should you not comply with my requests.
Some time ago, a band of "nobles" have kidnapped someone very dear to me, one Niktika, a Draenei in service of the Alliance. She was tortured, mutiliated, and humiliated by their actions, as well as giving her a haircut that I can only describe as when a Murloc turns into a barber, and decides to use a serrated knife at random points.
My demands are simple. The guilty party will write an apology directed towards Niktika, and disband their organization, or you may see that the economy of Silvermoon will suffer tremendously. I am to understand trading with your new allies is a very important venture for the Sin'dorei. Would it not be a shame if you were never to do it again?
The longer you take to address my demands, the longer Silvermoon will suffer, until everyone will leave the city for good, leaving it ripe for a more in-depth invasion. I would not advise that you take your time.
Should you reply, I will ask that you send the message to the Orphanage within Stormwind. They will be my proxy for recieving messages until my demands are met.
I would also advise that you do not travel unprepared within the city, as with enemies sneaking about, your lives may be cut short. And half-baked efforts of apolgies will not be tolerated, and will only lead me to double my efforts.
That is all.
High Priest,
Saruron Shadowhisper.
Sabeinne

Sabeinne lounged in her seat in Lysimachus' study, sipping her requisite cup of unsweetened black tea. She cast the note back onto the table with a disgusted flip of her hand.
"I thought we had instructed Nevitt not to pass these on unless they were important." She glanced over at Lysimachus, who was nodding his disapproval of the situation.
"The creature's claims are hardly realistic," Sabeinne continued. "Though I suppose we may expect continued threat to our efforts abroad. Do you imagine that we should capture this one, as well?"

Grinning lightly as she read a copy of the note that the priest had left behind. Ada'Maris stopped a bit before clapping her hands together in delight. ' Well this is going to be interesting I wonder if my dear cousin has any new lab rats.. cause this one I think would be the perfect specimen.' She thought as she tapped her chin with a slender finger.
" Well We are not going to give in to threats so I must say it's time to go hunting for a Kel'Dorei who does not know his place apparently. " She said this getting up and writing a note quickly before waving down a messenger. "Well take this to Professor Svet, when you come back I will have another letter for you to deliver to this Kel'Dorei who thinks he can boss around the nobles of silvermoon." She said this before waving off the goblin who looked grumpy up at her before doing what he was told to do.
" Now time to get the tools out, and time to catch a Kel'Dorei.. and maybe find a new occupation...I don't know..maybe it will all work out." Ada'Maris said to herself once the messenger was out of earshot. ' And maybe I can get some practice in too. For now though I have to focus on catching this annoying Kel'Dorei..'

"The creature's claims are hardly realistic," Sabeinne had said, "Though I suppose we may expect continued threat to our efforts abroad. Do you imagine that we should capture this one, as well?"
Finally looking up from an epistle he had been composing, Lysimachus held up a hand. "Perhaps not such an action SPECIFICALLY, sister, but I'd say we ought to send them a message of our OWN." He set aside his composition and pulled open one of the table's drawers, rustling about its interior. Sabeinne observed him with only moderate curiosity. "AH," he shortly exclaimed, pulling out a large, weathered sheet of parchment. "HERE we are."
His sister angled in to acquire a look at the object. She raised an eyebrow upon recognition. "Stormwind."
"Precisely!" Brushing the table clean with a single motion, Lysimachus slapped the map onto the surface between them, resting a finger on a particular point. "Here is where the heller has asked -- no, commanded -- that we deliver what may as WELL be our surrender."
"Surrender indeed," Sabeinne agreed. "And what shall we see to in actuality?"
"I'd say," Lysimachus responded with a malicious grin, "that this particular Orphanage hides beneath its floorboards an ANCIENT and POWERFUL artifact." He rolled the map inwards and inquired smugly across the table, "Wouldn't you agree?"

*reads the letter that was left on one of the desks at the house and snickers*
Is this the same fool who attempeted to infiltrate Silvermoon last night? He must have written this before he was taken care of, I doubt he is quite as boisterous today... and wait... WAIT... they had that harlot in their custody and they didn't just cut her throat, IMBECILES!!!
*narrows his eyes, then looks around making sure he wasn't heard, clearing his throat*
Ahem, yes... interesting indeed. Another loud bark from a tiny puppy, harmless threats.

Meekwood appeared from no where with a kettle of black tea and freshened up Sabeinne's cup. "Hiding behind the orphans of Stormwind. Quite a cowardly tactic, as to be expected from the Alliance." He then placed the tea kettle on a nearby end table with the rest of the tea set and adjusted his monocle. "If I may be so bold to suggest, master, not attacking an orphanage? Let this... mad dog bark, and leave it where it stands. If he wishes to retaliate, then let him. Last I checked we have no orphans here to hide behind."
Niktika
08-18-2010, 05:10 PM
Niktika holds one of the fliers in her hand reading it over quickly. She shakes her head in annoyance and drops it back on the floor.
"Really? You thought it was a good idea to announce this to them?"
The Draenei sighs for a moment and runs her hands through her cropped hair.
"At least when I was captured it was a double-cross. You however are delivering yourself all trussed up on a platter. The last thing they are going to do is apologize."
She sighs and heads toward the door. "You are going to need back-up in that city. I hope you have the gold to cover the cost of this favor. I am going to talk to a few people so I don't need to save your ass later."

Saruron has returned to the safety of Stormwind for the moment. He has been chased by Horde soldiers all day, and had all-too-many close calls. Overall, though, his sabotage seems to be having the intended effect, so he thinks.
Before he fled for the moment, he left one more note within Silvermoon.
So I am to understand that you will react in force? So be it. All of you can try to incapitate, to capture me, but you cannot hope to contain me. I have technology that belonged to one of your greatest minds, and I am planning on using it to it's fullest capacity.
This is just the first day. How long do you think Silvermoon can tolerate the lack of money coming in? The isolation from their allies? Try as you might, you can't protect your assets from my assault.
As I said before, I am expecting an apology towards Niktika that is sincere, and the disbandment of the organization that was behind her capture. Otherwise, the assaults will continue day and night. I know how to get inside your city, how to evade your guards. There is no safe places to hide.
Until you do as I ask, this will be my last message to you, Sin'dorei.
High Priest,
Saruron Shadowhisper.

"IMBECILES!"
The bodyguard in training heard his captain roar as he began to step into his superior's office
Upon reading the note he address Taleron
"So wait, dis fool o' an elf believe dat hi' actions prevent money from comin' into ya city? Da' seem altogedda too short-sighted o' this formerly immortal race. So uhhh, how he t'ink dis be preventin' da money from comin' in? Last I checked, mo' money be spent he' den anywhe' else in da hordelands, and 's not like he put a dent in it at all, most ev'rybody ignored him," and with a toothy grin, "'cept dose dat be brutalizin' him, ova and ova and ova and ova."
Svetlaena
08-18-2010, 10:49 PM
Svetlaena frowned, letting the note simply drift away from her hand on a summer breeze and continue its aimless journey down the alley.
The first thing on her mind, at the moment, was how much of a shame it'd be to lose such a potentially great test subject this way, to his own recklessness. That, and what was Lysimachus saying about all this? Probably laughing snottily over his cup of tea and rolling in his piles of gold.
...wait, what kind of a mental image is that?
Nevermind that! Now was not the time for sitting around. Now was the time for action. Something had to be done, and for more than her own reasons.
Duroxas
08-19-2010, 12:12 AM
A curious thing to see, truly, is a leaflet of paper flowing on the breeze fluttering its way out of a nearby ally and into the open daylight. Of course Duroxas couldn't help but snatch the paper out of the air as it attempted to continue it's journey. Its contents, however, did little to entice or entertain the elf, who tossed it back to the wind with a flicker of flame eating away the remainder of its existence from the corner
"A bad attempt at fearmongering at best. He'll be stopped as easily as the rest of the alliance in their endeavors of warfare. So what if a fool elf kills a few auctioneers? There is no way at all to economically shipwreck a city of magic weavers, not at all..."
But at the last word, his crimson glance trailed the little flecks of ash in the air towards the Bazaar.
"But since he's announcing where he'll be turning up... Might not be a bad idea to wait for him to show up and try and fulfill his threats. Should give me a good opportunity to make sure he learns what happens when trifling fools arrogantly attack -my- family..."
Atlarian
08-19-2010, 04:22 AM
Atlarian giggled.
"You think, instead of wasting all this time with these letters (which I must say are written in quite POOR penmanship!), this Sarururon, or whatever his helling name is, could at least attempt to fix his OWN hair instead of worrying about the harlot Niktikiatia or whatever. Hmph."
"I think he's just jealous of our good looks. HAH."
With a snooty look, Atlarian walked away, ever curious to hear the rest of the dej Dynastus' opinion on the matter.

Excerpt from a Horde newsletter...:
SILVERMOON AUCTION HOUSE PROFITS INCREASE 25% DURING CITY SPONSORED KAL'DOREI HUNTING EVENT
SILVERMOON CITY - Reports of a rogue Kal'Dorei priest in the city streets targeting the city's centers of commerce has sparked an increase in tourism. While auction house employees were initially unprepared for the sudden and unexpected attacks that left them stunned and injured, implemented hazard pay added to their salaries has made them eager to continue to venture out to their workplaces and not only deal in Horde trade, but also act as bait.
"It's not very pleasant or fun..." Ithillin, one of the auction houses' full time staff has been quoted saying, "But I'll do a thousand hours in the infirmary for what I'm getting paid now!"
While there are no prizes or rewards posted for the capture, maiming, beating, or dismembering of the Kal'Dorei priest, those that have come to the city to hunt him have said the thrill of the hunt is enough.
"Frostwolf Brotherhood is proud to make their presence known against this lone, and obviously insane, Night Elf" Draekon, commander of the aforementioned guild, proudly declared, having traveled to the city to investigate and participate in the action for himself. More was stated, but "language barriers" prevented adequate note-taking by our interviewer.
No time table has been announced for when the event will end, as it's not known when, or if, the Kal'Dorei will ever attempt to try and flee. Attacks have been recorded to begin around the hours of midnight to very early mornings, and go onward until into the early afternoons.
It is currently not known where, or how, this Kal'Dorei manages to escape long enough to eat or rest, where he manages to go, or what he eats at all. Apothecaries theorize that mutations in the brain may have caused a compulsive desire of self-cannibalism and request samples of flesh, or better yet brain matter, to be donated to their headquarters in Undercity.
House Dej Dynastus has also not responded to inquiries about the attacks being revenge for actions taken by the House rumored to have involved the capture, torture, and humiliation of a Draenei priestess.
Calestra

Calestra couldn't help laugh as she read the article. She'd had her own delightful time slicing away at Saruron when he had happened to attack the Auctioneer she was having a conversation with. She had seen the previous letter, addressed to her own dear guild, and thought the elf quite the entertainer. Really, she should speak to Nevitt about sending him a purse of gold for the publicity he was giving de Khats Sabobah.
She tossed the paper down, and propped her feet upon the desk she had acquired for her new duties as Charge. Now, what would a Charge do about this? Hmm. She smiled, tapping her chin. Should she write a letter in return? No, no, her skills with words were rather lacking. Oh! Perhaps she should craft an effigy for this Saruron! People could place offerings at its feet for hopes of good profits... And of course, accept donations for those who have been injured in his attempt to terrorize Silvermoon! For the betterment of the Horde, of course! She quickly set to work.
A short few hours later, there were straw and wax effigies in the likeness of one Kal'dorei Priest. Beneath it lay a sign that read: "DEDICATED TO THOSE A ONE SARURON SHADOWHISPER HAS AFFECTED, WHETHER IT BE IN PROFIT OR IN HEALTH. Now accepting donations for those wounded in his terrible attacks." She made quite the scene was elaborate - a very dead night elf upon a pile on money.

As the mold slowly climbs the walls and begins it's ascent up the single immobile chair in the room, miniscule drops of water slowly drip from the ceiling, and the ink runs off of mead soaked papers, Udole sits up and slowly recovers his vision to find a freshly placed issue of the Gazette and the details of a note. After reading through it the tenth time, he said to himself, rather drunkenly, "Good for bud'ness, no matter how this turns out. Either we gessum more contracts against them elves, or we get to send boys to save their sarey asses when they attack the city."

The attacks will not stop. Her apology WILL be given, one way or another.
You may be able to wound me, but I will find a way to escape, again and again, just to continue my quest for vengeance.
The faster this apology is given, the sooner you will never hear from me again. I would imagine it would be much more convienent just to have the responsible party apologize, wouldn't you?
de Kats Sabobah. This is the name of the organization responsible. They are the ones you should blame for this entire event. I am asking for their disbanding, and so should the rest of you.
All they have to do is write a public apology, and they refuse, instead wishing that their own people and allies suffer. Alas, your actions are your own choice. I gave you my instructions.
High Priest,
Saruron Shadowhisper.
Jespia

*Flipping the note toward the ground, the sin'dorei chuckles in a low tone. Shaking her head, she speaks her thoughts to the open air, "So that's why that fellow has been running around the city. Interesting.."
Jespia taps a fingertip to her lips and then tilts her head, mind racing over the new data and determining how best she might utilize it. "To the orphanage in Stormwind he wishes a message delivered? I should think that Stormwind received a message last eve.. But certainly.. I'm sure I can find those who would be willing to send another; and much louder.. I may not be the most patriotic sort; but I will not ~stand~ for threats to my personal well being."

Silvermoon Sponsored Hunting Derby to be Ongoing
SILVERMOON CITY - Following reports of a lone Kal'Dorei male attacking the city, and providing sport for visiting veterans, officials have announced that unearthed information about the attacker will render the event active for the forseeable future.
"There are no guarantees..." A city guard, whom had frequently given chase to the Priest, commented, "but I've been informed that this Alliance fellow is quite stubborn and has made tirades stating that he's going to keep returning."
Auction house employees have found the news bittersweet... Raised salaries due to hazard pay, and to compensate for infirmary admittance fees, have made the encounters bearable, but none are ever delighted to see their very frequent attacker.
"If I can spot him soon enough, I try to hit him in the eyes... Next lucky shot I get off will probably be my fifth broken hand this week!" Ithillen commented yet again, "At least it's good for business."
House dej Dynastus and its subsidiary organization, de Khats Sabobah, have continued to decline or otherwise be unreachable for commentary. House Magister Nevitt answered inquiries in passing that any such commentary would be out of place and "do nothing but encourage the under-evolved purple savage to continue making scenes".
Officials have also declined to comment on any possible disciplinary actions against the House or its guild, potentially because the publicity and revenue the city has garnered has paid for the majority of damages and injuries sustained during the attacks.
The Royal Apothecary Society of Undercity still requests donations of flesh and brain matter samples to test for biological mutations, or evidence of a new plague or other chemical factors, that may have contributed to the Kal'Dorei's 'erratic' behavior... but ushers caution in harvesting and collecting said samples.
"If this Night Elf is infected with a new form of plague, it is of great importance that we acquire a viable sample and manufacture a cure immediately!" Master Apothecary Faranell stated most adamantly, "While the welfare of the Alliance is of no consequence, it would be disastrous if such a contagion infected members of the Horde... But if it is not, the studies on samples, or even a mostly living full specimen, could be most fruitful for many other areas of research."
Members of the Korkron Vanguard charged with monitoring Undercity and its Apothecaries seemed to be uneasy with the idea of the Apothecary talking about a new potential plague, but said nothing and declined to comment on the matter.
There are still no posted rewards or accolades involved with the Kal'Dorei, but any news of such will be posted immediately.

Silvermoon City
Court of the Sun
A text transcription of a press conference by Knight-Captain Athin d'Origaille, Count of Fairbreeze.
"Thank you for gathering here today, citizens of Silvermoon. We are here to honor some of our bravest citizens. These man and women are not soldiers, not mages, nor farstriders. No, these are ordinary people who've done our city a service in the face of adversity."
"We are not a people who succumb to terrorism. I am sure you have heard of the crazed Night Elf's attack on our auctioneers. While troublesome at first, we were quickly able to discern his pattern of attack."
"So my purpose here is two-fold; First, to commend and award the bravery of these fine auctioneers. And secondly, to announce that we have implemented measures to protect the safety of these fine men and women."
"Over the last few days, we have been testing a magical simulcrum...that have the exact appearance of our auctioneers. These simulcrums can conduct buisness as usual, and are only phased out of allignment for a few moments following an attack. Our auctioneers are at a location that will remain undisclosed, but will continue to conduct your buisness via the simulacrum."
"I assure you, we, the Blood Knights, will continue in our vigilance in protecting the citizens of Silvermoon. Even though this Night Elf manages to escape our prisons after being subdued, bound, killed, and captured, we have mitgated this situation to a minor annoyance at best. Thank you for coming."
