I got my email with my key last night and got started today on a Blood Elf, at lvl 16 now.
If anyone is in it and would like to run around shoot me a message.
Aurra along with a 60 *cough* Alliance *cough* priest are copied over and my lvl 16 Blood Elf is named Alyaa.
Oh and I rolled on the PvE server for the testing, Hellfire.

hehe, been in for a couple of weeks but haven't had much time to play around with it.
I have a 18 draenei and "Notmort", a pale carbon copy of myself. It was a lucky thing though, since getting rid of that evil spirit seems to have made the lewt gods smile on me for a change (gotten more new gear in the last 2 weeks than I've gotten in the last 6 months).

Did this basically go to raiding guild members, or is it also a random selection of all subscribers? I've not been part of a raiding guild for like six months or so, so I probably missed out if it's the former.

Yes, select guilds from each realm where given the chance to enter the beta, as well as a couple other people. I'm guessing Fate's Hand was one of those?

I heard fates hand changed servers.
If so...
That was like the last raiding guild I liked.

I got my entry with the test realm leveling contest back in Jan/Feb this year.
Leveled a Rogue to 50 in just under 6 days played time.
Contests available were the race to lvl 50, most lvl 25 characters, and they had a pvp honor contest.
Unfortunately with the poor turn out just about everyone who participated was one of the finalists and a beta spot winner...well unfortunate for those who decided not to participate.

I need a motorboat-lips emote. Heh.
Back on topic, I saw a screenshot with some nifty, nifty UI improvements on it--an enemy cast bar attached to both the enemy portrait AND their floating health bar?! YES, PLEASE!

heh, no..that is Echelon that is disintegrating. I still see people running around with the tag, but I dunno if they are going to try to regroup or if it's just the people who couldn't afford to transfer/didn't want to.
Fates Hand didn't get a guild invite. Although there are by luck 3 of us in the beta (2 people work at Gamespy: http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/world-of-warcraft-expansion/738747p1.html) and me.
I was under the impression it was only the heavy raiding PVE guilds who have downed all but 1 or 2 bosses in naxx that got invites. If a guild from every server got in, it'd be a frickin HUGE buttload of people, and while I do see a LOT more people after the switch to closed beta, I don't think they could have done that many people with only 2 test servers.
I got in because I have a friend who works at Blizzard ^^
by the way, the beta forums are visible to the public now: http://beta.worldofwarcraft.com so if you guys have any questions or whatever, I can post some up.
