As the night grows old and weary, the weapons of war become dull and used, the same fights grow tired and dead, there is little else for two companions to do in Azeroth.

"Oh, I know, what about fishing?"

"...You can fish?"

"Oh... right... I can't. But we could learn."

The priest and the warrior continuted to bicker on about what to do that would pass the time. It seemed, for once, that the constant rending of flesh, screaming orders and chaging into battle was grew old for the night.

Mabey, for just once, they could find something aside from vicious battle to sate their insatiable hunger for 'something-to-do'?

"We could go blow something up in the tavern. I still havn't repaid Niethan for eating your snake."

"No... another fight would undoughtedly end, likely with you going into a rage and tossing another table at Terich"

The priest sighed and continued to stare up at the roof of the Undercity. What could they possibly do to pass the time? It seemed there was nothing other than war in the world of Azeroth for them.

They watched as a familier Orc girl passed by them, knitting equipment in hand. She rode Edmund out through the elevator.

"What was that she was making?" Asked the warrior.

"Looked like... and axe cozy" The priest shrugged.

"...We could tr-"

"Don't even think about it."

Was this is? Was there nothing left in the world for the Forsaken but war? Were they truely destined to nothing but a life of nothing but hate, anguish, pain and suffering?

"Aha. Chess!" the warrior exclaimed.

"Chess? Whats chess?"

"It's a board gamed used to practice the skills of players. Each little statue has it's own certain type of movement you use to knock the other players statues off. "

"I see. I guess we could try that... where would we find one of those?"

Minutes later the two were sitting at a large stone table in the priests 'secret spot' in the Undercity.

"Allright... the point is to kill this one right here.." The warrior said as he motioned to the larger statue. He went through all of the various movements and strategies one could use, the priest remembering every word. He's a priest, and memorizing things was his job.

The board pieces resembled the legions of Old. On the priests side stood a Human clad in heavy armor weilding a sword, obviously the 'king'. By his side a young woman in robes, his queen. Two balistas from that, the rooks. The knights were mounted paladins, wielding both shield and sword. Two priests stood beyond that, and on the front line stood the footmen.

On the warriors side stood a huge orc for his king. His queen was an odd looking warrior clad in heavy armor. Two catapults guarded them on either side, and two deathknights accompanied. Two Orcish warlocks were the 'bishops', and on the frontline of course stood the grunts.

"Allright" spoke the warrior."Lets see how good you are."

The Undercity seemed to stand still. The scuttering of some small creature sounded next to the pair.

"HEY!"

The priest looked up at the warrior as if breaking from meditation*

"yes?"

"No mind reading!"

"Oh... right."

The two continued to stare at each other. The priests movements were concealed by his shadowform, so the warrior had not the faintest clue what he was thinking or even doing.

A skeletal hand extended from the cloud of shadow. It grasped the head of a footmen, moving him forward into battle.

"....took you THAT long to think to do that?" The warrior barked. "Why don-"

The warriors mouth was suddenly sealed shut, the sking fusing together to keep him quiet.

"HMM! HMM!" The warrior screamed, but to no avail.

"Hm? What was that? I can't hear you, I'm afraid your mouth is sealed shut."

The warrior became maddened with rage, grasping his mouth, but the glare in his eyes was evident. Eventually he calmed down and sat as a slit carved itself out of the warrior.

He crossed his arms and turned his head from the priest. He knew no matter how angry he got it would only be futile as the priest was far superior.

"Make your move." the priest mentioned quietly.

"I'M THINKING, HOLD ON!"

The warrior poored over the pieces with obvious intrest, taking in whatever strategy he could master.

Hmm... what if I pu- no... no he will be expecting that, I KNOW it.

The warrior frowned as he couldn't decide what to do first.

"If you took this long in battle, we would have been overun"

The warrior gripped the king Orc statue, bending the metal a bit in anger., "I said... I'm thinking."

What if... bah, forget it...

"I move my grunt here." the warriors gripped one of his Orcish warriors moving him forward to battle against what would-have-been the Alliance defenders.

As time passed, the two talked and played a bit more, conversing and complaining about what-to-do situations they have apparently been caught in in the past.

"And it's growing on her?" Asked the warrior.

"Yes, last she showed me. Not sure really what is going to happen, and it could have spreaded by now."

"Really? Interesting... Here, my deathknight uses raise dead, and now your dead statues are mine."

"....you can do that?"

"...uh... yup."

The warrior gave a shifty look to both his sides. He coundn't gauge the priests reaction due to the shadowform.

"...what can the paladins do?"

"They can uh... they"

"I knew it."

"What?"

The two continued to argue for a while, but eventually got unto other topics.

"New leadership eh?"

"Quite." the priest moved one of his ballistas forward

"So.. what happened to Grisch? Did he meet some... unfortunate events?"

"Not sure. But would usually just be able to reincarnate... you know.. shamans and all of that nonsense"

"So now their lead by... her? Thats odd. I kill your footmen with my knight, bwahaha!" the warrior grinned as he bumped the priests statue off the board. "I'm in the lead now.. excelent."

"For now."

"I suppose..."

"Oh, did you hear? I heard the Steward stepped down to some woman."

"hmm... it seems all the guilds are being led by a woman now?"

"Yes. Nothing wrong with it of course, just unusual. I do hope she will fill the spot." The priest stopped played suddenly. "Something happened to Warneshi."

The warrior gapped. "...What do you mean?"

"His mother..."

"Oh... enough said..."

"HAH!"

"Shadowspeak, I don't find anything funny about that."

"No, I just took down your queen." The priest bumped the tall Orc lady off the board.

"...so you failed four times now?" said the warrior.

"Yes..." the priest let out a long sigh. "Four times now Iv'e attacked her and we weren't able to kill her... I hate dragons." the priest moved one of his priest stautes forward, taking out a catapult.

The warrior frowned at his loss. "So.. are you going to try... it?"

"What do you mean?"

"The uh.. the letter the tainted one sent you."

The priest stood silent. The warrior eyed around, waiting for his response.

"Yes... I suppose s-"

"EXCELENT!"

'But it will be extremely hard.. the Archbishop is not a weak.." the priest was drowned out by the warriors burst of celebration.

"We'll charge in there guns blazing and arrows flying! We'll kill them all!"

"Sevarith... sit down, your drawing way to much attne-"

The warrior began to yell "DEATH TO ALL I TELL YOU!!" he raised his arms into the air in celebration, several long red sticks falling from his belt.

"Want to tell them your shoe size also Sevarith?!"

The warrior let his arms down and took his seat again.

"Why would I want to do that? Here, my priest kills your queen."

"No it doesn't, it's my turn."

the warrior sighed.

"Fine. Go."

The priest moved his queen out of what would have been reach.

"There we are."

"Checkmate."

"What?"

"You moved your queen, then your King was open for attack. Checkmate."

The priest stared down in disbelief, hen up again to see the warrior grinning.

"I win." Said the warrior. "Now, Iv'e had enough talk... time for some blood."

"Nope. I win."

"What?" said the warrior in confusion.

The warriors vision went black.
