I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place, but...
So everyone, what's your favorite Nether Legend EVER? This can be something that you participated in or just observed, or maybe the only one you've ever read. Perhaps it's an excellently crafted piece of writing or just a good memory.
For me the most memorable one is Watch Your Back, Stranger (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=11760) by Bir. I remember being a new hire in the lab two summers ago, eagerly reading the updates while I was supposed to be doing science. I always loved Bir's writing and her rp in general--I have a lot of respect for people who I feel do drama well, and I always felt honored to be even remotely involved in her rp.

Oh good, this is what we need, another popularity contest concerning the art on the site.

It's more a trip down memory lane, is the intent. There's a lot of good stuff that's been buried under new posts for years.
I'd have to say that Aleria's "Network" series is my favorite...
Admittedly, I've never read anything else, (not seriously, anyways) but I think that her NL's were fairly well written and interesting.

Don't mind me I'm cynical because I'm not a popular kid :)
There are TONS and TONS of Nether Legends on the site I adore, but I'd have to pick A Chance Meeting (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=16302) only because it was something I got to participate in and is some of the most fun I've ever had with a Nether Legend.
I can't remember the name of it or find it, but favorite one composition-wise was probably that one concerning the Raven Cross and Unulu thing... that was a great read.

Oooh, yeah, I really liked reading A Chance Meeting. That whole storyline with Glassclaw was pretty awesome.

From what I understood that story was about Mordria... When she got killed? I mean Glassclaw was in it.. but uh... Something here is flawed.

Death of a Blood Knight, hands down. It was crazy how fast it moved - I remember that I'd go to bed at night and come back in the morning to another 2 pages of the damn thread to catch up with. It was a hugely fun interactive experience, and I made a lot of friends through it.
I've really been enjoying writing the Goblin threads and cooperating really closely with Hailos to make Chikt and Rikt's story the best they can be.
I really enjoy threads more that I can get involved in. Expand stories with other peoples characters. Those are the threads I really enjoy.

The storyline was his creation and he was the primary character we followed through the story. But it was very much about the supporting cast too such as myself, Mordria, and Fordragon Imports.

DoaBK, the Onyx Sun, and:

Lightning Strikes (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=16689).
I also enjoyed Howling on the Fjord, though it was never finished. I didn't really read enough of the ones I wasn't really involved in, as I'm sure many are guilty of. I'd also put Defense of Sun Rock in my favorites, problem being that the real fun was what happened in-game, not really the nether legend.

I was also referring to the other stuff Glassclaw was doing in-game and such. Since he hasn't really been around it's fun to remember the things he was involved in.

God, I love Sabachthan's writing so very much. And this was my first major major RP event that I can remember being a part of. That and stuff with Melar Danashj.
Man, I miss MD and The House of Ghants.
Mordria

Yay! A Chance meeting was one of the most fun things Ive been a part of, there were lots of characters and things going on behind the scenes. Along with Mordria's poor misinterpreted signals with Glassclaw, Captain Thornum's hilarious additions (He was only 17!), and the one and only appearance of Pineapple, it was great.
...Except for that bit where I died... >.<
Some stories that stick out in my mind from a long time ago was the character originations of Acherontia and Melchisdech (And I may have butchered the spellings on those.) I really liked the writing style and how smooth they seemed to flow.

I'm gonna have to say mine, I like the most and I don't know if she made her own but the replies Omy has done to some legends, I've really enjoyed reading because she has a way of making me feel what her character is going through, like the suspension she creates and if it's a hurried scene then it feels hurried and I like that.
I like the stories that Smiles wrote about both his character and others, although the blocks of text strain my eyes the writing itself is fantastic. War Pigs (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=19183) is my fav of his cuz it’s got Panderans in it.
Going a little further back I’ve always enjoyed the exploits of Bir and Malorii or any genuinely insane or unstable character.

I often walk down memory lane by reading these treasures (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=5390). The early days of the server were really fertile.

Gotta go with Death of a Blood Knight. Although I hardly participated in it, the in-game events near the end were amazing fun. Not only that, but they were one of the prime reasons I got to know Horde members of Twisting Nether outside of the Cartel.
I miss Xenaken...

The Fall of Legends (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=4493582747&sid=1)
No, its not a Nether Legend, it has nothing in fact to do with anyone here, but really this right here is why I roleplay, this story is utterly amazing, I've read a huge chunk of it, I tried to get through it but its a long story.
Truly, you all should give this a glance if you haven't.

You should get a kick out of this one given your history with the cartel, Thal.
News from the Grave (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=6116), by the Shadow.
I seem to remember a young Diomades being lured out to Arathi by Messenger Pidgeon and being ambushed by the Cartel for questioning regarding the Shadow a few months after things had gone quiet.
That's another one of my favorites.

I think my favorite of all time was the early part of an adult-forum story written by Solinev and an orc RPer whose name I have forgotten. The backstory about Solinev's life as a courtesan was fascinating.

The best is hard to say, we have so many good writers here, and I'm ashamed to admit I don't read nearly as many of these as I ought to. I always remember this one with amusement: http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=1815
As far as most memorable that I participated in... probably these two:
http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=1744
http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=1824
Edit: Oh, this one too, I didn't know it was ever cross-posted over here from the old Tirisfalen site: http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=3703

I can't remember any specific threads by the old guard that were awesome, though I know there were many. I remember "The Tower (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=2657)" with Noury & Shadowspeak was one of the first ones to bring me active into the forums. And, along with Villayna, one of my favorite things ever on this forum is the wolf and the raven (http://wow-tng.org/showpost.php?p=209449&postcount=118).
Recently I greatly admired the planning and writing of Draekon's rebirth (http://www.wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=16740) from being a Death Knight (http://www.wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=18529).
EDIT: Ooh, does anybody remember that High School parody that Leoren wrote? That was hilarious. And that also reminds me of the hilarity of Fhenrir's D&D campaigns played by RP characters.

The Wolf and the Raven is my favourite piece of writing on this forum.
Death of a Blood Knight was probably my favourite actual forum RP though.

I can't seem to locate it, but the story that drew me into TNG originally was "Bound" by Chavie. I kept coming back hoping for another chapter and found a few other gems in the mean time.

It's there still. Sort the story forum by name. I think if I had to name any one person I could bring back to the game, it would be Chavie.

The early days of the server were really fertile.
I really miss them, when I think about how much time I actually spend roleplaying nowadays. Ahh, the days when the story was more important than the experience bar/badges/honor points/gold.
