View Full Version : More TNR MC Progress

Last night TNR downed both Sulfuron and Golemagg ^_^
edit:
It has come to my attention that some people are offended by me posting the progress of TNR on these forums...
I'm sorry.
Please excuse me for being extremely proud of a raiding group that I helped build from scratch, and to which many members of this forum either are a part of, or have friends in. If these progression posts offend you, well, I cannot see why. Frankly, I cannot see why you can't just say "awesome guys" and move on... but apparently a few people find that me posting the progression of a raiding group on a community that is made up of members from another raiding group (ie. THEGA) is an outward hostility.
TNR has never been outwardly against THEGA, and has done nothing against any of its members at anytime. If you find my posts agressive or insulting, please don't hesitate to tell me, but please do tell me because apparnetly you've thought as such for quite some time now, and I'm only JUST hearing about it.
Like I said above, it was mearly me expressing how proud I am of TNR for reaching Domo after only 5 months of raiding total (2 months in mc). I was never trying to put down THEGA, yet apparently some of your members are upset because of this.
In conclusion, you will no longer see any progression messages for TNR, or myself for that matter, on this community.

I have no idea what happened in this thread. Malebrignon removed his commments, and I deleted a non-helpful post by Fhenrir.
TNG is an open RP community and officially we welcome news of progress by TNR. I don't know a lot about this group, but I haven't heard anything bad or seen anything that made me say that group is "anti" RP. I was actually under the impression a fair number of TNGers are part of TNR.
I'm a big fan of coalitions. There is a certain "homey" feel to small guilds that almost always gets lost when a guild gets large enough to run its own endgame instances. Coalitions allow small guilds to remain small without locking them out of endgame "fun".
If someone told you that these boards are "THEGA" boards and TNR isn't welcome, then they were extremely out of line and only expressing THEIR PERSONAL opinion.
I'm only one person. I try to leave these forums as open as possible without letting people run completely amuck (I know some people think I run the place a bit TOO lax, but hey, someone has to make the final decisions and I prefer letting people be themselves when I can).
So I apologise for whatever happened, and hope to hear more from you and TNR in the future.

In all honesty, I *love* getting updates on raiding progress, no matter who it is. Gives me something to compare with our PuG raiding groups n.n
Good hunting, hope to hear more progress!

Mort... I was just poking fun. I won the Might Shoulders there last night, I was happy about it.

I assumed it was made in fun Fhenrir, but since I don't know what happened, I removed it just in case it was meant sarcastically.

I speculate that if Vendorstrike is alternated between its two forms one thousand, three hundred and thirty seven times, with the last alteration occuring under a blue moon coinciding with the release of an expansion pack which fixes the casual versus raider debate, pvp gear progression and class balance, it will become the almighty Even Godsdamn Lamer Strike (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=9942). And it will bring about the end of worlds.

Nexus crystals are passive and friendly, therefore cannot strike nor be struck. Vendors can do both. The times may change, but nicknames are eternal.

The only thing I have to add to this is that I was confused, because my guild is referred to as TnR on a regular basis. :P
