Saturday, May 16, 2010, Marrowgar10 was downed by a guild wearing ilvl200 blues.

Their raid comp: 2 DKs, 2 paladins, 2 shamans, warrior, mage, druid, rogue. Reasoning? 'They were online.' They eventually swapped a hunter in for someone.


Undergeared is a raiding project created with the goal of clearing Icecrown Citadel wearing only ilvl 200 blues. It was formed in December 2009. Its members come from various EU servers and had not raided together before joining this guild.

The founder of the Undergeared project is Gevlon, owner of the blog http://greedygoblin.blogspot.com/

Guild rules:
- No epics, no exalted SoH enchant, no epic gems (except JC special gems), no Abyss-shard enchant.
- Soulbound profession perks are allowed (such as engineering helmets, JC trinkets/gems, alch trinkets etc.)
- No voice communication.
- Raiding time is 3 hours once a week (Saturdays 19:00 - 22:00)
- No copy of your raiding toon. For example if your main is a resto druid, then don't roll another resto druid for the project.

Gear score isn't everything.

And still, people get bent out of shape if you don't have an epic gear score, voice chat, at least 3 "neccesary" addons, and change your spec to fit what the RL thinks is best at the drop of a hat.

What these guys is amazing, no argument here! Skill > gear may be true, but Skill < Gear&Skill, so if you've got nothing to go on except someone's word that they have a lot of skill, gear's a good rule of thumb. And it's usually enough to carry them anyway.

Skill may be greater then gear - but skill requires you have the proper spec and gems and professions. Statement is moot. Also - it said no vent, not no mods.
