View Full Version : RP Titles

Out of curiosity...

Do you use a title? If so, what is it?
How do you choose it; do you come across it IC, or just assign it?
What kind of titles would you assign to -other- people, if you could?

Daala
10-03-2006, 01:55 PM
Since rolling Daala, I've applied the title of "Obsidian Heart" to her. It's from a lovely game called Escape Velocity: Nova, with connotations to another title, Arbiter of Reckoning. I haven't decided yet how she came about the title, except that it occurred prior to the beginning of my time in the game.

Lelenia
10-03-2006, 01:57 PM
Lelenia will occasionally attach "Lost Daughter" in formal letters and such...my reasons are part of the RP history that I've built for her.

Leyujin

Oh man... is that one from the Auroran storyline? Wasn't the Polaris hero Shan'do or something? Sounded elven...

Anyhow, my title's long, but straightforward. Skymane Tribe Refugee, Horde Berserker.

Vilmah
10-03-2006, 02:04 PM
Well, she used to be High Knitter of Orgrimmar, but now she's Warboss of Sanctuary.

Nadea
10-03-2006, 02:18 PM
Nadea is the Dark Baroness, though most refer to her simply as "Baroness". She was royalty in her past life, and she forced the title to carry over.

Lelenia

"What's this?"

"It's an axe cozy! You put it over your axe when you're not using it!"

"Yeah...I don't see me using that....ever"

Teelia
10-03-2006, 02:21 PM
In game, I am known as Teelia Gazee, Daughter of the Noble House Gazee of Andorhal and Slayer of Scourge.

I also go by 'Socialite Rogue'.

I don't go by 'Silent but Deadly.'

hehe.

WTB [Axe Cozy] pst

I suppose I don't really use a title because I can't think of what Niethan could possibly be refered to. Though "Teenage Mutant Hunter Troll" comes to mind.

Heh, there actually was a REASON! I swear!

Chingaso
10-03-2006, 03:07 PM
Until recently, Chingaso was just Chingaso. But the recent invention of a sister by Vilmah has brought about a "given name" of Gor'tek Bloodfoot.

I doubt I'll use it much in-game though.

That's what YOU think! *PLANS!*

Nazshakul
10-03-2006, 03:58 PM
Of course, Nazshakul also goes by "Last of the Stormreavers", seeing as how almost all of them are AWOL or dead.

Back when he was still a blood-crazed, power hungry diabolist during the two previous wars he also was called "Draxxigar Madfang". He earned the name "Madfang" when he was witnessed decapitating a poor High Elf girl using only his powerful teeth and jaws.

Yeah, he was a bad one...

Hehe, yep! Heraan for the win.

I don't recall many Polaran names, but I'm pretty sure that you're right on that.

Sanrin
10-03-2006, 04:08 PM
Overlord Sanrin!

...Believe it!

*cringes at his own horrible reference*

Vuudu
10-03-2006, 04:09 PM
Vuudu the Dragonscarred: she used this after she was first possessed by a member of Onyxia's brood, who mutilated her right arm and torso.

Vuudu the Redeemed: she used this after she was removed from the Grim, as a sign that she was no longer an Irredeemable and had found herself again.

Vuudu the Dragonslayer: she uses this one currently. After killing Onyxia and freeing herself of the dragon's possession, she feels she has finally found a title that will stick!

Noury
10-03-2006, 04:56 PM
"Nouri" decided to continue to use the name he chose for himself, he has used the monaker of "Nouri the Heretic", due to his radical (according to the Church) views on The Holy Light, and his habit of street preaching. Now he is "Nouri the Wanderer."

Few call him Wesley Middleton, his real name from childhood.

His title at the moment is "Prophet of Tirisfalen."

Upae is "Wildchild", self explanatory.

My gnome warrior is Beckie "Boom Boom" Bevelgear.

Personally, I like Pythre's " Deep Sea Explorer.." hehe, makes me smile every time. :D

Malebrignon
10-03-2006, 05:47 PM
Malebrignon IS a title, originally. It has no meaning that I know of in any Horde language, though, so it's treated as a name. In his native tongue it means something akin to "all consuming". He's continued its use here to help keep his "true" identity veiled.

EnheilRas
10-03-2006, 06:08 PM
EnheilRas is also a title, now widely known to be "Warmaster," a combination of "Enheil" which means Master and "Ras" which means War.

Fallacy
10-03-2006, 07:35 PM
The Watcher is good enough for Fallacy, for obvious reasons.

Lupen
10-03-2006, 08:05 PM
Sanrin's reference to orange-jumpsuited "Ninjas" makes me sad.

Lupen is commonly called, "Dread Mage Lupen" or "Dread Magus Lupen". I've already completed most all of Lupen's storyline, and these titles are not used in game, but will be used in writings as, "Icon of Sin", "Hand of the Fourth Dark", and "Vakov of the Second Plague."

Enough storyline hints for now!

How come I see an nightelfs full flagRSP, surname title discription and all, from a differant server (on battlegrounds) yet I never see it anymore? Does flagRSP 2 do this? If so, anyone link?

EnheilRas

Manus Trebelium,
EnheilRas of the High Fist
General of the Frostwolves
Warlord of the Warsong
Overlord of the Bleeding Hollow
Far Seer of the Horde

Full titles and registrations availiable.

Abric
10-04-2006, 11:57 AM
Nope.

I think somebody used to refer to Abric as something a good number of months ago, but I can't recall it.

Hehehe... I think not. He deeply regrets the person he was back then, that's why he reverted back to his Shamanistic name, and he certainly wouldn't tell your character that story. >>;

Yeah, it was pretty cool though. He was busy flinging spells at people with both hands at the time, and the girl thought it'd be a good idea to get in biting radius. *CHOMP*

You probably don't recall it because it didn't pass the profanity filter.

The only one of my characters on Azeroth that can actually have title, like Baroness or Marquessa will be my bloodelf main because she's the only legal head of the Triumverite in the Immortalis core. I'm hesitant to use it though because I don't want to appear narcisstic. Danlily wasn't the legal head of deStrasza as she was a half breed. Clys (my hubby's character) is Baroness of the Nex'Cruors but I don't think Clys actually uses the title after murdering her father, Baron Nex'Cruor and I don't think the bloodelves actually see her legally as head of her family as she's ...well...dead. I think I wrote it that the family's inheritance legalities makes you have to be full blooded Sindorei to inherit within her family's Will structure. It's something the triad of brothers wrote into the contract when the main family broke into three branches, that only full blooded Sindorei could inherit.

Other than that, none of my characters have been notorious enough to have a title, like "Princess of Darkness" or I dunno, an infamous title of somekind. No one's ever called Danlily anything but "that crazy half-troll that talks to her bow".

Okay, my rogue alt, Danlyra got a title tonight... The Masked Yodeler

Sinthe

Archmage.
Occasionaly Frost Lord, or The Frost Lord; Archmage Skyze Val'Thoxis

Tarlithion
10-05-2006, 09:44 AM
Before I stopped playing Tarlithion, I tended to use, "Way Cooler Than Sanrin"

Nadea

That title is pure win!

Rajjah
10-05-2006, 07:21 PM
I currently assign the title Rajjah "The Frozen Hand of Sanctuary" since i'm the only mage i've noticed...not to mention Ice mage, but i would much rather have one assigned by the community through reputation...that's my goal however unlikely.

Give it some time, and RP summore. I'd gladly call you our Frozen Hand, kinda like Nojinbu's called "The Frostbite".

Well /rp channel is great, but i mostly only read it for info and getting to know the names and personalities, but even then i'm on the move most of the time. I'm usually ic even in groups that don't rp lol, I love face to face rp. I'm an emote nut i must confess. I will be more involved in /rp channel once things calm down for Rajjah. For now he's way too busy to be hanging out at any inn, and that's the rp why he's not actively there......for now. I'm piecing together Rajjahs personality you could say, i'm new at this and don't want to be roo inconsistant....which i catch myself doin.

*hijack complete

It's cool! I had the same problem with Vilmah when I began playing her.

How hard is it for a violent self absorbed nymphomaniac to play a sweet-natured peace driven prude?

You tell me. How'm I doin'?
