Nazshakul

When you've gone about things all wrong, bury them here with the lifetime you would never regret...
In savoring sleep, what do you mean I toss and turn everywhere?
I'll miss you when you're gone, pretending that you meant the world to me.
With that you'd call me a liar, and in making mistakes, you'll rest incomplete.
The child Nazshakul, then known by his birth-name "Draxxigar", was enjoying the pleasant breeze and soaking up the sunshine just outside the humble orc village, reclining lazily in the grass and pulling the legs off some poor bug that wandered too close when suddenly someone smacked the back of his head. Gasping in shock, thinking one of his Shaman mentors had found him slacking off, he jerked his head around to see who it was.
"You shouldn't do that, what if some giant person started pulling your arms and legs off?"
Draxxigar breathed a sigh of relief, it was just his friend, a Dranei girl that often visits weekly along with her father, a trader.
"Hehe... Hello Draxxie." The girl giggled as she sat down beside him on the ground. Draxxigar snarled a a bit and rubbed the back of his head.
"Ugh! Didn't I tell you to stop calling me that!? How many times do I have to tell you?"
Laughing at his surliness the girl barely managed to speak. "Just one more time, as always!"
"Geez, you're weird..."
Then, besides the gentle blowing wind, there was an akward silence for a few moments before an uncomfortable Draxxigar spoke again.
"So... uhh... You made it this time..."
"Yeah, sorry about that... I got sick last week. I begged my Dad to take me, but... Oh well. So, did'ya miss me?"
"Miss you? Uhh.. n-no, not really. It's just, y'know, you usually make it every week, I was just curious, y'know?"
"HAHAHAHA! You DID miss me, didn't you Draxxie! That's so cute! So, what do you think our kids'll look like?" And before he saw it coming, she leaned close and gave him a peck on the cheek, causing him to recoil and leap to his feet. He stood there, completely and utterly embaressed and rubbing his cheek as hard and fast as he could to get the "cooties" off.
"EEW! Blech! How could you do that... again!? You're gonna get us in trouble, AGAIN, AND DON'T CALL ME DRAXXIE, DAMN IT!"
By this time the girl was in tears from laughing so hard. "You can't fool me! You wanna be my boyfriend, don't you? I bet you want another kiss!" She mockingly accused.
"ARGH! Are you trying to make me sick!? And who would wanna be YOUR boyfriend!? You're ugly, AND blue! I'd rather kiss dirt than touch you agai-" He was interrupted mid-sentence by a large dirt clod smashing in to his face, he silently spit out some of the filth that found it's way into his mouth.
"I may be ugly and blue, but at least I'm not short and GREEN! Gonna get mad, shorty?"
"YOU. ARE. SO. DEAD."
And so the children ran around and played with one another, from hurling dirt clods, to playing hide and seek, to pranking the older villagers, the two were free from any care in the world. Twilight drew near, and the two, finally tiring themselves completely out, sat on the outside ground with their backs against the wooden walls that encircled the village. Still out of breath from playing, the girl spoke to Draxxigar as he was still attempting to break in half a melon that he pilfered from a nearby vendor.
"I can't believe the day is already over, and I was having so much fun too... I wish we didn't have to go back home tomorrow."
With that the melon split open with a crack, getting juice everywhere. He gave her one half of it without saying a word and the two started feasting on the sweet fruit. There was a brief silence as the two watched the sunset while they ate.
"Hey Draxxie..." The boy grunted in acknowledgment with a mouthful of food. "Do you think it'll always be like this? I mean, do you think we'll always be friends?"
With a gulp the young Orcling answered. "Huh? Why are you getting all weird all of a sudden? Why wouldn't we always be friends?"
"Sorry..."
Shrugging, Draxxigar went back to eating what was left of his melon as the Dranei girl stealthily started scooting closer to him. With a few burps and giggles the two threw the empty shells of the fruit haphazardly to the side. The first few stars started to twinkle in the sky.
"So, uhhh... here." Draxxigar suddenly dropped something on to the girl's lap.
"What's this?"
The girl held up a small, wooden totemic charm.
"They're teaching me how to carve totems... I was just, y'know, practicing. I was gonna throw it away, but..."
"It's cute, I like it."
"Heh... thanks. It was kind of hard to make... I-I mean, I didn't make it SPECIFICALLY for you or anything, so don't get any weird ideas." The Orc says shyly while fidgeting his hands. Slightly embaressed, the girl giggles and wears it around her neck.
Tired from a day of play, and with a stomach full of food, the two children become drowsy and soon fall asleep against one another...
CRASH!
Nazshakul was violently awoken by the sonic boom of a thunderbolt that shook the ground. He was broken out in a cold sweat and his heart was attempting to jump out of his chest. Staying silent, the old Orc tried to regain composure after the emotional dream and rude awakening.
"That... That was... It had been so long... I-I forgot you, but... why now?"
Only after several minutes of wiping his eyes and brow did Nazshakul notice the violent, howling winds trying to knock his small tent down. Crawling out, he himself was almost knocked over by the powerful gale. It was almost pitch black, the dark, gloomy clouds blanketed the night sky and no star or moon shown.
"Hmmmm... I don't like this. Something has changed.... something is about to happen, and these dreams... of her, of Draenor... it's a bad omen to be sure."
Showing no care to the powerful winds and lightning, Nazshakul strokes his beard thoughtfully...
"What... what was her name?"
FIN
Peace and figuring, will he be home again?
With wide open windows, will she be waiting for?
With severed arm placement when the day's dark, old, and dead.
We'll write her a letter with long time passing...
I'll be home, to say "I love you", then I'll be moving on.
((OOC: Hehehe... just a bit of forshadowing here. I've gotten a little rusty since I've been away from the computer for so long, so be nice.)) :)
