To some, the World's average mysteries are just not enough. The D.R.A.G.O.N.H.A.W.K. Brigade, (Defeating boredom with Random Acts of fun and Getting rich by Offering our Notorious skills to both Horde and Alliance, and to explore the World's best Kept secrets Brigade), is a collection of adventure-seeking misfits who intend on making the world a more interesting place to live in.

*Masquerade grins, placing her hands on her hips.* "Listen up, because this is important! If I see that you can't pay attention, there will be a penalty! And believe you me, you do not want what I have in mind.

The Dragonhawk Brigade is the most elite, the most excitin', and the BEST Brigade in all of Azeroth! Any objections? No, I didn't think so. Anyways, our goal is this. TO HAVE FUN! There is nothing Brigade Chief Masquerade and the Dragonhawk Brigade cannot do!" *Laughter*

F.A.Q.

How large/active is the guild?
We currently have 400+ guild members. However many guild members have a good number of alts in the guild, and of the remainder about a third are truly active. On average there are 30 people online at a time, less in the mornings and more in the evenings.

How far into Guild Levels and Achievements is the Guild?
The Dragonhawk Brigade is a Level 25 Guild! Not only that, but we are proud to claim the achievement: [Realm First! Guild Level 25] (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=5407/realm-first-guild-level-25) as our own! We have all the available perks, heirloom gear, bank tabs, mounts, and other awesome items available to guild members!

Is RP required? Is OOC allowed in guildchat, or do you have a separate channel for that?
Roleplay is not required, but knowledge of it is. All members are expected to know the definitions of IC and OOC and must differentiate between them. We are a Casual RP guild, with emphasis on Face-to-Face RP and less roleplay over a chat channel. The Dragonhawk Brigade is your "little bit of everything" guild, with much PvE Raiding, occasional PvP, and leveling.
Guild chat is 0oC, and we have a separate channel for RP. The RP channel is used as a form of communication over engineered devices.

Do you have a guild website?
http://www.dragonhawkbrigade.com

What is the back story for the guild?
((A full, detailed storyline can be read at dragonhawkbrigade.com in our forums.))
The Dragonhawk Brigade was once an intelligence-gathering group under the command of Lady Sylvanas Windrunner. Since then the Dragonhawk Brigade was disbanded, and by order of the Dark Lady, no guild was to ever operate under that name again. Our name, however, is simply:
(D)efeating boredom with (R)andom (A)cts of fun and (G)etting rich by (O)ffering our (N)otorious skills to the (H)orde and (A)lliance, and exploring the (W)orld's best (K)ept secrets...Brigade!
D.R.A.G.O.N.H.A.W.K. Brigade, for short.

Our goal is to become the most well-known, revered, and wealthiest association in all of Azeroth! Under Masquerade's leadership, the Brigade is constantly searching for new ways to have fun, make money, and boast their successes. Always a sucker for a good mystery, they also spend their time investigating the lesser-known secrets of the World. And how does a Brigade fund these excursions you ask? Well, the DHB is known for its collection of highly skilled agents in all manners of services. For a small gold fee, they will take on most any task from the Horde, and even the Alliance.

What are the requirements to join?
You must have a name that works in roleplay and be at least level 10. Other than that, anyone can join.

We also expect all members to read the Guild Rules and the information in our Guild Info pane upon joining.

What would you say is the average level of the guild?
There is an about equal spread of low levels, but the majority rests in the level 80-85 range.

How would you classify the guild in RP terms?
We are quirky and lively, as Brigade members seek to have an exciting and enjoyable roleplaying experience. On average we have 4 guild events per week, ranging from games and competitions to serious storyline events, as well as pre-Cataclysm raids, instance runs, and World PvP. Our RP style is lighthearted, fun, and creative. We are a neutral aligned guild, but base ourselves within the Horde.

The Brigade is conflicted once again. A shift in power has put Masquerade and her Agents on shaky ground, the very foundation of the guild in danger of collapsing.

Masquerade completed her mission in Icecrown, and found her Brigade members gathered in Fairbreeze upon her return. A short celebration ensued before the party was disrupted by Kwaru, the one who was chosen to lead the Brigade during Masque's absence. Sylvanas had ensured Masquerade that if she had completed her mission successfully, she would be head of the Dragonhawk Brigade once more. However, that was not the case.

Kwaru came with news that he would remain leader of the Brigade as per the Dark Lady's orders. He claimed that Typhus was wrongfully banished from the Brigade and all charges were to be cleared against the Death Knight. Also, the warlock Revyn was to be arrested and put under trial. This news came as a shock to the Agents, who began to protest viciously.

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i51/chobi_chi/WoW%20Screenies/KwarusNews-1.jpg

Masquerade saw that things were beginning to get out of hand, and agreed to follow Kwaru to Sylvanas' chambers. Shortly after the Agents found their leader in a state of dispair, broken down just outside the Apothecarium. She affirmed that all of Kwaru's statements were true.

A dark figure appeared behind the company, a malicious grin spread across his features. Typhus had returned to resume his position as Inquisitor of the Dragonhawk Brigade. The Agents all gathered around Masquerade, standing against the Death Knight.

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i51/chobi_chi/WoW%20Screenies/TyphusReturns-1.jpg

Ready to defend the Brigade, they lashed out at him. Masquerade restrained them however, assuring Typhus that he would not have his freedom for much longer. The Death Knight laughed, and made his way into the Banshee Queen's chambers.

With the Dragonhawk Brigade divided between those who remained loyal to Masquerade and those who followed the Dark Lady along with their new leader Kwaru, who can say if justice will be served, or will the Brigade have to disband altogether?

Here is an example of our weekly guild event "Raid of the Brigade", that takes place on Saturdays.

The Saturdays alternate between a World PvP raid and a Vanilla or BC content PvE raid.

This past weekend we raided the Sunwell, loot going for roleplay gear. <3

And another PvE Raid, this time The Black Temple.

Drop me some Warglaives already, Illidan!

BREAKING NEWS!

MASQUERADE HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED!

(Dun dun duuuuuuuuuuun!)

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i51/chobi_chi/MyART/MasqueSurprsied.jpg

After an order by the Banshee Queen to bring the former Brigade Chief Masquerade before Kwaru for trial, on accusations of treason, Masquerade and her Brigade decided it was time to take action. Meeting in the Throne Room above the Dark Lady's great city, they gathered their forces. Using the unguarded sewers to the best of their advantage, they made their way to the Apothecarium unnoticed. The rogue used stealth to sneak past the guards while hiding between her compainions. However, they were met with opposition just outside the Dark Lady's chambers.

The twisted Death Knight Typhus had arrived to stop the Brigade's incursion. Casting a dark spell which shook Masque from her stealth, she was shielded by her loyal agents who bravely stood against Windrunner's orders. Avorie, acting the part of a double agent, tried to hand the rogue over to the Banshee Queen before the Death Knight could get his hands on her. It was too late however, Masque's former brother Typhus shouted "MINE!", casting a paralyzing rune upon the Brigade. A fear-striken Masquerade was dragged through a Death Gate, the Agents having failed in protecting her.

Due to an unfortunate event, the Dragonhawk Brigade was temporarily disbanded. We're back though, and hopefully better than ever! So if you were a member of Dragonhawk Brigade, or know someone that was, please ask anyone belonging to DHB for a guild re-invite. All members have invite privileges for the time being.

Recruiting has resumed, as we have obtained 85/248 of the original members after only 24 hours since the guild was reformed. <3

The Dragonhawk Brigade has taken this small catastrophe and incorporated it into our Storyline.

Written by Avorie:

After the disappearance of Masquerade, the Dark Lady is now more then ever convinced that the Brigade Chief is indeed guilty of the crime of treason. Not knowing that she was kidnapped by Inquisitor Typhus, Sylvanas believes that Masque has fled, and thus suspects of the rest of the Brigade to rise up in revolt. In an effort to stop this from occuring, the Banshee Queen has decided to disband the Dragonhawk Brigade, ceasing all Brigade activity at once.

The following declaration was issued after the Dark Lady learned the truth of Masquerade's kidnapping, thus proving her innocence and Kwaru/Typhus' guilt.

Attention All Members of the Dragonhawk Brigade!

For the past several weeks you all have tread far too close to the line of rebellion. Masquerade's continuous renegade tactics, those that went against my orders so that she may follow her own, have made her more of a liability than an asset. Hoping to maintain my Brigade, I placed Kwaru in the position of Brigade Chief, one who I had the utmost confidence in maintaining complete control over the Brigade's actions and it's Agents.

How wrong was I to think this would be successful. Not only have many of you disregarded Kwaru's orders but you insist on following Masqueraide, the traitor? Your orders are to follow me and me alone. Because of this, and Kwaru's clear inability to maintain control, The Brigade not only faces a violent power struggle, but even I grow concerned that there is a rebellion stirring up amongst you to usurp my power!

To curb this insurrection I placed your Masquerade on trial for treason, only to have her run away from both her allies and my jurisdiction?

You are all traitors; you swore an oath to uphold my leadership and word and I find not only the Brigade in disarray but have now become cowards? There is only one option: termination.

Effective today at midnight, The Dragonhawk Brigade will cease to exist. Kwaru and the Generals will lose all power and you will all be re-assimilated into the ranks of the Horde. Fortunately for all of you, I have decided to spare both your lives, and the torture of having you all made into Abominations.

Be wary, for if I see or discover any evidence that you are all reconvening under the Dragonhawk Brigade, I will see to it that your deaths are without mercy.

-You have been warned, do not mistake my intent.

-Lady Sylvanas

In-game RP event has yet to occur. If you would like to participate in rescuing Masquerade from Naxxramas, or the following arrest of the villains Kwaru and Typhus, please contact one of our officers in-game.

The Dragonhawk Brigade has ceased to exist. In it's place a new Brigade was formed, its name:

(D)efeating boredom with (R)andom (A)cts of fun and (G)etting rich by (O)ffering our (N)otorious skills to the (H)orde and (A)lliance, and exploring the (W)orld's best (K)ept secrets...Brigade!

...or D.R.A.G.O.N.H.A.W.K. Brigade, for short.

*Masquerade crosses her arms, wearing a slight grin as she looks at you.*
"Our goal? I'm glad ya' asked! To make life more exciting, 'a course! An' to make some gold in the process. We'll do just about anythin'- explore ruins, retrieve valuables, take on missions, you name it! Oh, and it doesn't matter if you're Horde or Alliance, so lon' as you speak Orcish. 'Sides that, we're about findin' ways 'a havin' fun, an' there won't be any part 'a the World we won't search!"

We Are Legendary

On one especially gloomy evening in Tirisfal Glades, Masquerade was approached by a ominous figure that seemed to solidify from the shadows themselves. This mysterious warlock approached the Brigade Chief with an offer. Intrigued by the figure's unusual-ness, Masquerade agreed to hear him out.

He spoke of six legendary weapons. Sulfuras, the Hand of Ragnaros. Thunderfury, the Blessed Blade of the Windseeker. Illidan's Warglaives of Azzinoth. Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury. Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings. And the rumored Shadowmourne. For this information, the only request of the warlock was that he be informed should the Brigade gather all six. An excited Masquerade hastily agreed, rushing back to the Brigade's base in Eversong.

The Brigade Chief relayed this information to the Brigadiers, making it their top priority to acquire these legendary weapons for themselves. She and her most experienced soldiers ventured into Molten Core shortly after. It was there that they discovered the Bindings of the Windseeker, to which the warrior Hazzlok held in his possession. Not a week later, the troll began to exhibit some odd behavior...his random outbursts became highly disturbing and on occasion it would seem as if he was talking to himself.

When the Brigade returned to Molten Core for further investigation, Hazzlok was taken over completely. The essence of Thunderaan lives within him, and threatens to corrupt the Brigade from within. The troll disappears that night. While some Brigadiers become hesitant as the Dragonhawk Brigade continues to search for the remaining Legendary weapons, Masquerade pushes forward with swift determination.

Post by Hazzlok:

Guard Captain Westwind walked nonchalantly along the northern sector of the canal district. After spending the entire night on watch, nothing sounded better than going off shift to his house in the Old Town. Of course he performed his job as expected, ensuring the streets were safe and that regular amounts of Mead were "properly" disposed of. But as he walked out of his office his entire agenda collapsed.

"Captain! we've got another case!" cried the Watchman as he bolted up the stairs of the tower, almost colliding into Westwind.

"What? Can't you see that patricide is just not interesting anymore." He replies with a yawn.

"Well, this doesn't involve any homicide...well..." The Watchman coughs. "Not that we know of yet. Apparently we've got some espionage tactics that were at play last evening."

Westwind's eyes light up, he leans towards the Watchman, "Espionage? Boy can't you see that with Variass...ehrm...King Varian, all spies have been sent to the Stockade?"

The Watchman ignored his Captain's token pessimism, a trait he acquired after being discharged from Honor Hold two years prior. "Just come see this. I'm not going to spoil the scene. But I will say the place does look a little...well, like a Bullman in a China-shop." He says with a grin, leading the way through the canal district.

As the two approach the closed door of the inn, the Captain attempts to open it. "Bastard keepers, it's Sunday by the Light!"

"Sir, this is not really an inn." He taps tree planks on the door in sequence, prompting the door to unlock. "It's a passage."

As the two walk through the hidden Cut-Throat-Alley, they approach the final house on the street; windows smashed, and the door hanging by half a hinge.

"By the Light...you brought me to what looks to be the remnants of a house party?! I should castrate you here and no-" He is interrupted by his subordinate who runs up the steps and opens the door completely. The Watchman motions for his Captain to enter; aware of what the scene looks like.

The Captain's dropped jaw is a telling reaction. The house is completely unsavory; curtains are torn, the table is covered with what looks to be butter, books are strewn across the main floor, and giant hoof prints mar the carpet.

"This is...no Human could ever pull this type of crap off." He searches underneath the disposed books, hoping to find a clue. After taking a seat on one of the broken chairs, the Captain feels a piece of paper under his bottom. He picks the letter up; sealed conveniently in a neat, secure, envelop. On the back, the insignia of a Dragonhawk dots the seal of wax. He opens the paper, and begins to read...

"To the bastards tha' call themselves the Alliance! First off, we would be honored to take up the blame for the scene that currently besets you. We take great pride in the efficiency of our desecrations; we hope it suits you well. Secondly, we would like to thank to whomsoever claims the deed to this house for allowing us to use it for a rather important meeting in which we discussed ways in which to destroy our enemies. Ironic that these plans were concocted in our enemy's city! Do not worry however, our resident Druid Fawndeer has taken the house-cat into protective custody; she loves Eversong!

On a more serious note...

Let our intrusion be a grim reminder of the inefficient patrol system the City of Stormwind currently has established. Personally, I think it's almost as if the Captain is smashed and gives out meaningless patrol routes. (The Captain growls at this.) The real reason we intruded in your city was to announce our reemergence into the mainstream. Tha's right; D.R.A.G.O.N.H.A.W.K. Brigade is back baby, and don' you forget it! Well, we all hope you enjoy the havoc we caused; have fun cleaning up!

-Brigade Chief Masquerade and the Brigade

P.S. We have stolen the cache of Mead sitting underneath the Watchtower; we are running low.

P.P.S. If you would turn your attention to the alley, notice our little 'gifts.'"

The Captain destroys the letter, infuriated at the knowledge that his Mead has been filched by a bunch of savage, warmongers. He stomps out of the house and into the alley, where he notices arrows strewn across the entire street. On these arrows, lie small flags emblazoned with a red Dragonhawk.

He clenches his fist, "These damned Brigadiers...DAMN THEM!"

Wow! What an interesting few weeks we've had so far; we've got lots of new faces, a growing RP/raid/pvp force due Cataclysm's impending release, and a fiery new guild ambition that only the Dragonhawk Brigade could muster. Needless to say there could only be one explanation: we rock.

As our guild's storyline progresses, it's imperative to note how the characters of our current storyline, "We are Legendary" are going. Here are what's happening:

Brigade Chief Masquerade

http://images.wikia.com/wowwiki/images/7/70/Thoridal.png

When the Brigade first began its ambitious quest to acquire the most powerful weapons on Azeroth (and Outlands), Masquerade had already set her eyes on the prize, telling her soldiers, "Apparently there are these two freakin' huge glaives tha' Illidan has an' I wan'em!"

Unfortunately for the Brigade, acquiring these weapons has proved exceedingly difficult; Illidan just can't seem to muster the courage two welcome us into his humble abode. Because of this, Masquerade has decided on another path: Thori'dal the Star's Fury. Originally, this bow was reserved for the most powerful High Elven ranger-lords, who were able to summon arrows of celestial light which could pierce through the hearts of any flesh, be it mortal or demon. The bow was rumored to have been passed down through generations of unknown ranger-lords, who would scour the forests of Quel'thalas defending their homeland. With the coming of the Scourge and the Third War, the unnamed ranger fell in battle; his name never remembered but his legacy, Thori'dal still lives. Rumor has it that Kael'thas has stolen precious Elven artifacts of great power in order to summon Kil'jaeden back into Azeroth. When asked what she thought of the task, Masquerade scoffed, "So maybe Illidan wasn't so open to me takin' his stuff. But Kael'thas stole a great piece of Elven weaponry. Although I ain' no hunter, it is my duty to steal it back for mysel...erhm...the Brigade!"

Blood Knight Aégis

http://i.ytimg.com/vi/Re-43ysXtSY/0.jpg

When last we heard of Helvetica, she was dutifully researching more about the dreaded blade Frostmourne; the weapon of the Lich King. After hours upon hours, late into the evening, studying the mechanisms of the blade, how it was forged, and how exactly its effects can be reversed, Helvetica discovered instrumental information: the hilt of the blade contains the storage unit for souls; when slain, a beings spirit is sucked into the hilt, which in turn causes the actual blade to become colder; the chill of death powers the blade. Unfortunately, despite her most valiant efforts, Helvetica admitted defeat: she was not strong enough to wield such a powerful weapon, especially with such hate in her heart.

Seeing as this was the case, Helvetica began to scour the ranks of the Brigade for a soldier who would be a suitable candidate: powerful, strong-willed, and ready to use such a weapon for the good of the horde. She found this candidate, in the Blood Knight Aégis. Despite being a paladin, Aégis has prepared himself to wield the weapon whose brother destroyed the most powerful kingdoms of Man and Elf. He has gotten very close to accomplishing his goal, obtaining the axe Shadow's Edge. The most daunting task lies ahead however: collecting souls of the damned and ultimately killing the current Lich King. Not only that, but as the gap between Shadowmourne and Aégis grows smaller, so does the boundary of this world and that of the dead. Aégis has begun to hear the pervasive cries of the damned, specifically from the late Alexandros Mograine, the Ashbringer himself.

Primalist Bóbo

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070514070234/wowwiki/images/thumb/3/31/Sulfuras.jpg/200px-Sulfuras.jpg

When last we left off with our adorable yet courageous Tauren Druid, he had undertaken the arduous task of collection the very weapon of the gods: Sulfuras, the Hand of Ragnaros. From his hollow abode in the Molten Core, Ragnaros wages an infinite war against the brood of Nefarion; the Black Dragonflight. With his infinite power, steadfast Dark Iron soldiers, and fanatic Twilight Cultists, Ragnaros schemes to undo the very fabric of order than the Titans had created. The goal is not simply destruction, but complete chaos; to revert to the primordial era from whence he and the Old Gods ruled Azeroth.

With his weapon Sulfuras, Ragnaros was rumored to raise the very core of Azeorth and create eternal volcanos. Lush jungle was converted to pits of ash and heat; hell on earth. Despite these rumors, the Brigade puffed out its chest, flipped the Dark Irons the finger, and marched right into the Molten Core. Each day, the Brigade fights deeper and deeper into the hollow core, destroying the legions of flame. Bóbo has acquired almost all of the materials needed for his own Sulfuras, but one item remains: the very eye of Ragnaros. Without it, the mace carries no sway of the elements. Hopefully the tides of war can turn in our favor, for recent seismic analyses have been reported, causing many to question if the Firelord will remain buried in his home for very long.

High Legionnaire Hazzlok

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091123194243/wow/pl/images/e/e0/Thunderfury,_Blessed_Blade_of_the_Windseeker.jpg

Within the last few weeks, Hazzlok has undergone quite a painful experience. After discovering two ancient bindings that had fallen from Ragnaros' lieutenants Garr and Baron Gheddon, Hazzlok made it his mission to discover the purpose of such intricate pieces of history. Emblazoned with swirling runes that seemed to roll across the bindings' surface like a perpetual tempest, Hazzlok and the Brigade discovered that in ages past, Thunderaan, the son of the elemental lord of air Al'Akir, had been imprisoned within the bindings and left to spend an eternity shackled in the void. With the help of Hazzlok and the Brigade, the Prince slowly was able to regain what little strength he could. When ten Elementium bars had been discovered, a metal forged from the very plane of the elements, the Prince was able to possess the Troll, using him as a vessel for which to acquire necessary reagents; not only to summon himself, but his very father Al'Akir.

After weeks of searching Azeroth for any sign of Hazzlok, the Brigade began to lose hope. It wasn't until the Brigade's scouts discovered that a hurricane force vortex appeared in the Slithid wasteland that they concluded Thunderaan had returned home; preparing to usher in the storm. With a battalion of Cenarion Circle allies, the Brigade confronted the Troll, who had just finished the ritual to free himself from his mortal bindings. To the dismay of Thunderaan, he forgot to realize that he had wasted all of his energy producing small gusts of wind, his version of defecating, in order to gain the attention of Twilight Cultists.

Ultimately, the Prince fell, but not before Klarm channeled the Prince's soul into Hazzlok's sword. Doing so warped Hazzlok's blade into Thunderfury, the Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, which was emblazoned with strokes of blue and white, and a tempest core, the soul of Thunderaan. When Hazzlok awoke, he discovered his new weapon and its prisoner: Thunderaan.

High Cleric Triniti

http://wowedge.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/87a3f47d45e4c5a2.jpg

The war between the Dwarves of Iron and Stone has divided the very continent of Northrend. On the surface, many assume it to be simply civil war amongst the ancient race, but in reality the battle is much more than that: the battle against the Old Gods. With Yogg'Saron, the Old God of death, resting comfortably in his "home" of Ulduar, the monster has successfully indoctrinated the beings of Iron into releasing him from his prison. After removing the four Titan watchers of Ulduar, Mimiron, Hodir, Thorim, and Freya from their positions as custodians of the city's prison complex, Yogg'Saron spread his tentacles of hate and confusion through the very crust of Northrend; entrenching his lies into the far reaches of the continent.

In ages past, the Stone Dwarves were able to maintain order against the Old Gods through their ancient mace Val'anyr, the Hammer of the Ancient Kings. The mace was blessed by the very touch of the Titans, which allowed the mace to wield the most dangerous power in the universe: the power of life. With Val'anyr, life could be created from inanimate materials: Dwarves from stone, iron, and even life from the very elements of the world. Urel Stormheart, the first Stone Dwarf king, wielded the mace during the battle against the Old Gods. While at first the Iron Dwarves were steadfast allies of Urel, they eventually became lost, siding with Yogg'Saron and his proclamation of doom. In order to ensure that no Iron Dwarf could control the mace, he shattered it, sending its body across Azeroth, never to be used again.

Currently, our resident Forsaken Cleric Triniti has made it his mission to collect the shards and reforge Val'anyr. Doing so would not only allow the Brigade to summon minions to fight for the Horde, but also because, well, the schematics showed that Val'aynr was quite possibly one of the most bad-ass looking weapons that ever blessed Azeroth's surface. Currently, Triniti has acquired about half the the shard fragments needed to reforge the Mace. But when he succeeds, all the world will tremble; this is Triniti, and he will smack you sideways with the Hammer of the Ancient Kings.

Zuzzu

http://newmansplace.ca/uploads/warglaive-of-azzinoth.jpg

It's no surprise that Illidan lost all sanity he had with him when he decided, "Hey Outlands, you're pretty messed up, let me take you under my artificial demon wing and enslave all your people." Back on Azeroth, the Night Elf was actually a high ranking official within the Quel'dorei mages; the Night Elves born into the upper caste of society. When Queen Azshara opened up portals to usher in the Burning Legion's first invasion of Azeroth, Illidan was ready to fight, not so much for his people, but his freedom to practice his addictive magic. Although he wielded power arcane energy, it wasn't until he killed the demon commander Azzinoth that he became a truly unstoppable force. By killing Azzinoth, a Pit Lord and stealing his weapons dual glaives of perpetual green flame, Illidan gained notoriety amongst the Legion. When the War ended with the Sundering, despite Illidan's contributions to the war effort, his brethren's reckless use of magic was what attracted the demons to Azeroth; magic was to be outlawed and Illidan, enslaved for 10,000 years.

Today, Illidan sits atop the Black Temple, once the most sacred temple of the Draenei on Outland. With his Twin Blades of Azzinoth, Illidan commands the oppressive Illidari armies, whose primary goal is to suppress and destroy any who stand in his way. However, Zuzzu, a resident druid of the Brigade, has received word from an old ally that he has the secret to obtaining entry into the Black Temple. Doing this would give the Brigade an opportunity to end Illidan's oppressive rule and steal the very Blades that gave him his twisted visage; it's only a matter of time.

A Foreboding Letter

Last night, amidst the the chaos of Hallow's End weekend, a mysterious message found itself bolted to the door of the Dragonhawk Brigade's base. The scroll was recovered by an anonymous agent, who found it in the same condition it is currently in, purple singe marks on the edges and a glowing orange insignia of what looks to be a dragon's claw that radiates on the center of the parchment. When crossed-checked with recent reports, the agent deduced that similar letters have begun sprawling up among almost every Horde and Alliance guild base across Azeroth.

In ominous lettering it writes:

To the members of the Horde and the Alliance,

Before anything, do not attempt to scry or charm this message to find its source; there is no trail to trace as the courier has gladly sacrificed himself so that the world may know fear once more.

For over six years, you mortal heroes have gone about your lives, fighting dragons, demons, elements, kings, so that you may secure a lasting future for you and your children. Ironic it is however, that as both the Horde and the Alliance strive to destroy the evil that has riddled this planet since its conception, it has driven you all both closer to annihilation: the only unifying force, was an enemy far greater than either union.

Even now, your nations stand on the verge of collapse. As the Wrathgate burned a wide hole through the hearts of both the Horde and the Alliance, so did it burn the banners of diplomacy. The world has seen what the wild dog will do when the Horde lets off its leash, and even so, Sylvanas and her Forsaken are allowed to remain alive, breathing, scheming.

While the Horde deals with its political turmoil, the Alliance is tearing itself farther apart, as those who advocate for peace are being stomped out of existence by those who push for war; crying out for retribution for the fallen in the Dragonblight.

While all of this is happening, the very world itself is writhing in pain; earthquakes and tempests have begun to appear on a global scale. But this is not coincidental, not in the least bit. Your days of playing hero have caused more trouble than you could ever possibly imagine: the world is literally collapsing, and it's because of you.

Titan lore had once stated that the Old Gods, those that predated the Pantheon, were so deeply rooted to Azeroth, that their "removal" would destroy the planet ten times over. So the Pantheon locked them into the deepest recesses of the planet, where our master was charged to monitor their prisons.

For eons they watched, slowly spreading their influence outside of their jails, even so much as corrupting the very aspect that acted as their warden; they were patient. Now, within this decade, you heroes have succeeded in not only "killing" one, but two Old Gods. You believe this world was safer? Surely not.

The great cataclysm that you see churning before you is due in part to your ignorance; how dare you defy even your very creators, who knew what havoc would be in store for those who tried to uproot our gods. Steel yourselves "heroes," for within the coming months, it will become ever-clearer that your golden age will never come, and that the only thing that stands in your future is the shadow of the twilight as it comes ever closer.

So shelter your frail, stock up your reserves, arm your soldiers, but in the end, it will all have been for naught: you're all going to die.

-The hour of twilight is upon us, embrace it or be eliminated!

And the latest short story from our writer, Hazzlok:

"EVERYBODY GET DOWN! AWAY FROM THE CLIFFSIDE!" Screamed a soldier trying to evacuate citizens. In just ten minutes, Air and Water elementals had accessed tethers in the elemental planes and began to wreak havoc upon the Tauren's sanctuary of Thunder Bluff.

"You there citizen! Get out the wa..." The Tauren is immediately cut off as a bolt of lighting blasts right through his left shoulder, throwing him several feet into the air.

Apoko, Bobó, Avorie and Klarm overturn stakes and wooden shafts, attempting to save and escort citizens from the city and send back the elementals from whence they came. The skies above the city have never been darker: streaks of dark violet tear across the deep, tumultuous expanse like a dragon's claw tearing flesh; Azeroth cries in agony as she is literally torn apart.

Aegis and Nyissan are manning the elevators, seeing that the citizens are safely transported to the ground. As the elevator reaches the ground another time escorting a load heavier than the lift can carry, Nyissan looks up after seeing what looks to be articles of clothing being thrown from the summit.

She looks up, confirming what he thinks to be just cloth, but is aghast when there is more: dozens are being blown off the cliffside, plummeting to the plains below. As she watches, the pervasive screams tear at her ear, stabbing at the Brigadier's conscious; never has she seen and heard such horror.

As he fixates on the scene, Aegis screams at her to focus, "We must do what we can! Focus!" With that, both return to bringing the lift up to evacuate more innocents.

Up on the bluffs, the four fight with adrenal ferocity; never had they had to attack as hard and as relentless as before. Drops of sweat and exhaustion are so pervasive, but replaced by bouts of water and air, that if it weren't that exact moment, exhaustion would have killed all four of the adventurers. As the four run into a crowd of elementals, Apoko notices the primary totem at the center of the city about to collapse onto a crowd of over twenty hiding citizens; they are unaware.

As the three engage the enemy, Klarm notices the druid turn towards the collapsing structure. Before he can call out his name, the howling screech of the air elementals mutes him. Apoko waves his arms maniacally, screaming for the people to move. As the refugees start to hear what Apoko is saying, a wind elemental jumps between the Tauren and the citizens.

"Embracceeeee theee inevitablleeeee.." the elemental howls; the vocal clinging causes Apoko's hair to stand up as if static surrounds the air.

"I've nothing to say to you!" Apoko screams as he charges to attack the elemental. As the two fight, the structure continues to break down, but Apoko is unable to see if the people moved. With every second, the battle turns more to the air elemental; it is simply too strong for Apoko to kill.

As the Bobó, Klarm and Avorie finish off the group of attackers, they turn their attention to Apoko who is on the losing side of the battle. They charge to assist their ally, but before they can the unthinkable happens: the elemental summons a gust of wind so powerful that it sacrifices itself in the process. The soldiers stop and look at what happens: as the wall of air expands outward, Apoko and several buildings are knocked from their foundations and pushed off the cliffside.

The last thing in sight is Apoko, who cries out in anguish as he plummets downward. Avorie screams and charges for the edge, but Bobó holds her back. As the three watch in horror as their ally fall, streaks of lightning ignite the sky, landing on the same totem those same citizens were hiding in.

A large explosion tears right through the totem, causing the support beams to give in. The last image shows the building collapsing, knocking over bridges, buildings and elementals along the way. As for the citizens: there's no way of knowing.

It was all sunshine and clear skies when the Brigade arrived in Booty Bay. Masquerade was waving her hand high in the air as new Agents arrived on the scene, chattering excitedly with the exception of one not-so-chipper Nexys. Her own excitement couldn't be stilled however, as she ushered the collection of elves, trolls, and occasional goblin into the Tavern.

Looking skyward, she guessed that it was getting close to the designated meeting time and headed inside herself. As far as she knew the Alliance pirates that had taken interest in the Brigade's services was a group known as the Redblade Corsairs. She wasn't too familiar with Alliance groups herself, but being as this was a job opportunity and the Brigade's funds were beginning to run low, she'd take just about anything. Not to mention they rarely got requests from the Alliance anyways - so she was looking forward to this.

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i51/chobi_chi/WoW%20Screenies/Corsairs1.jpg

They arrived few in number but with dominating presence. Led by Cuergo, the Redblade Corsairs spent little time with small talk and were eager to get down to business. After being asked to move the party outdoors, an elf by the name of Tenris joined them as designated translator. While fluent in common, it was easy to see that Tenris was uneasy...especially after he was offered over to the Brigade as part of their payment.

Glad to have a new man-slave for the Brigade, but still wanting more, Masquerade was assured that a large sum of gold would be transferred for a successful run. Though if any of the Corsairs were harmed in the transaction, the deal was off.

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i51/chobi_chi/WoW%20Screenies/Corsairs2.jpg

As far as the deed itself, the Brigade was to stake out a tower in Dustwallow marsh as the Corsairs rode by in their caravan as bait. When the Alliance military group known as the Seventy Third, stationed in Theramore, arrived on the scene to arrest the pirates, the Brigade would spring into action - devastatingly maiming any and all members of the 73rd while leaving the Redblade Corsairs unharmed.

And so with the details sorted out and the site thoroughly scouted, one final assurance was required. Two captives, one of the Brigade and one of the Corsairs, were traded as insurance. Nyali bravely volunteered to go with the Alliance Pirates while the Brigade received a priest by the name of Venedict. The two groups parted ways, to be reunited the night the deal was to be carried out.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The evening of the attack arrived. Brigadiers assembled in the abandoned cave of the Brood-Mother Onyxia, awaiting the signal to attack. Tension was high, and as the minutes past they became more and more restless. Finally the signal arrived. A soft ping on Masquerade's communicator broke the silence and they flew into formation.

Scouts sent word of the Seventy Third's precautions. Their target was moving quickly to Theramore's gates, but the Brigade met them along the stone bridge, cutting them off. The Alliance military dropped as Corsairs ran free, headed for the city.

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i51/chobi_chi/WoW%20Screenies/theramore3-1.jpg

The unsuspecting 73rd were quick to fall. The Brigade marched into Theramore, spirits high, and did what they do best - wreaked havoc! Civilians ran screaming from the Horde agents as they trashed the Alliance city, placing banners of red and gold as they went.

As her Agents had their fun, Masquerade met with their employer. Cuergo and his pirates were waiting in the Tavern's basement. The Brigade Chief was met with no hostility and offered a sly grin to the human, who returned the expression. Vengeance was met, spirits were high, and for now the two groups of opposing factions could see eye to eye.

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i51/chobi_chi/WoW%20Screenies/operationtheramore8.jpg

Venedict was returned, the payment received, and the Brigadiers returned to their base with a large feast to greet them. All in all, it was a good day.

A Dragonhawk Brigade Story:

By Tia's Grace
By Tianisa of the Dragonhawk Brigade

Preview:

After the wedding, which was a quite lovely affair even if Lady Aranella looked anything but happy, the guests were shown into the large banquet hall with tables all in the back of the room and an area for dancing at the front. Tia led her family (and the two dates) over to the table that was marked with the Manastrega crest. Tia, Drasti and Seli all chatted happily about how well Tia’s dress looked on Lady Aranella, the bright yellow dress, the traditional color for noble brides, had been carefully offset with cream lace and a multitude of tiny pearls that dotted the various embroidery patterns. Tia received many compliments on the dress as well as a few young girls begging for their own dresses. Once all of the guests had taken their places, the dinner service began. Multitudes of servants appeared from the sides of the hall, all carrying very fancy boxes that were all tied with yellow ribbon.

“Oh joy!” Tia exclaimed, knowing what was contained in the boxes.

“What are those, mama?” Adrastia asked, a slight frown creasing her forehead.

Tia shook her head and waited for a box to be set in front of each one.

“Open them carefully!” Tia told the table, carefully untying her own ribbon. The rest of the table carefully followed suit, curious as to what first course would come in a box.

Tia flipped open her lid and quickly grabbed the mana wyrm that was inside.

“Mana wyrms!” Adrastia exclaimed happily. “I haven’t had a mana wyrm in years.”

Selidraene and Antino looked slightly confused on how to consume such a thing; Antino attempted to bite it and received a mana bolt to the tongue.

“No dear, you absorb it, like so,” Tia closed her eyes and a burst of blue light came from her hands as the wyrm disappeared. Tia smiled and sighed as the burst of magic filled her veins, invigorating her.

“Pull the power from the wyrm into you. Much like absorbing bloodthistle, but only with your hands. Concentrate on pulling it into you.”

Crudus’ hands glowed blue while Tia was speaking, breathing deeply as his own wyrm was absorbed. Ophion and Adrastia were the next to succeed as they had both had mana wyrms before on very special occasions. Mana wyrms were expensive creatures, but the absorption of a wyrm could last an Elf a month. After he absorbed his, Phio reached over to Seli and repositioned her hands as she struggled with her wyrm.

“You can hold it tight, you won’t damage it,” he said. “A firm grip is important.”

Adrastia whispered soothingly to her wyrm, leaning in close as it vanished. Antino struggled briefly with his, then seized it by the tail and briskly whacked its head against the table. He flashed a satisfied smile and absorbed the stunned creature.

Seli nodded and a few moments later the blue glow surrounded her hands. Seli took an unexpected deep breath and shifted in her chair. She began to talk to Phio then about how she’d never had a mana wyrm before and continued rambling on from there. As much as Tia loved Seli, she also had the ability to turn the younger elf out. Phio sat beside her seemingly enraptured though. Tia frowned, usually Phio was attentive but he actually looked like he was greatly enjoying listening to Seli. She turned her head away from her son when she felt Crudus put a hand on her thigh and softly squeeze. Her frown creased deeper, Crudus knew better than to act this way in public. When she looked up at Crudus, he leaned over and kissed her.

‘What is going on?’ she thought, thinking about what may have been causing such behavior.

Tia leaned back and began looking around; several other tables had all of the various couples kissing. She glanced to the head table, Lady Aranella was frowning too. Then Tia felt the wave of desire hit her.

“Oh no,” she murmured, wincing as Antino absorbed his wyrm with Adrastia sitting very close to him.

Lady Aranella’s new husband seemed to be looking extremely pleased. Tia leaned over to Crudus, fighting the urge to kiss him.

“It would be most pleasurable for me if you began counting, my love,” she told him in a low voice. “I shall return very soon.”

Crudus began counting, happily watching her as she got up from the table and hurried quickly over to Lady Aranella.

“My lady,” she began, pausing for a moment to curtsy. “What were those mana wyrms fed?”

Aranella’s eyebrows rose.

“I don’t know, I didn’t feed them. Do you think that is what is wrong?”

Lady Aranella’s new husband smiled wider, “I fed them. It was a blend I got from a trader. He said that the blend would cause luck and happiness for the whole night. So I bought a whole bag of it and fed it to all the wyrms.

Tia’s eyes widened, “Was it purple?”

He looked at Tia surprised, “Why yes, how did you know?”

“Oh dear Gods,” Tia said, covering her mouth. “You fed them all desire dust. You’ve… oh dear me.”

Time passed although the months of Cataclysm took their toll. Not long after the Lich King was defeated did the Dragonhawk Brigade disband and become the D.R.A.G.O.N.H.A.W.K. Brigade, setting out on their quest for the Legendary weapons and making a name for themselves as adventurers, mercenaries, and entrepreneurs. Though they kept a low-profile as best they could with Masquerade as their Chief, DHB did not remain under the radar for long.

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream was one to take notice of the Brigade and its accomplishments. For reasons only known to the leader of the Horde he sought out the Dragonhawks and presented them with challenge upon challenge. Tested to their extremes the Brigade emerged stronger than ever, with the respect of the Warchief on their side. Dealings with the Alliance have become sparse and even riskier than before. Though there are benefits under the Horde banner, one being the freedom to enter the Forsaken's kingdom of Undercity under Garrosh's protection.

Needless to say the Brigade has quite an extensive history with the Banshee Queen and her followers. Not all of it good, especially at the end part, if you come to it. Though Masquerade isn't one to step down in the face of conflict. The truth about her innocence and what really occurred in the lower chambers of Undercity was vastly unknown. It was to the Chief's surprise that a summons from the Dark Lady came for Masquerade and the Dragonhawks, and the hope that they may be able to remedy the Brigade's standing with the Forsaken along with it. They soon marched to Lordaeron's gates only to be met by Sylvanas' elite, Infection.

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i51/chobi_chi/Infection.jpg

Confusion and restlessness made for an interesting conflict, though the groups never came to blows. Infection carried a warning for the Brigade, that despite the Warchief's command DHB was not welcome within the city's walls. It was not by the Banshee Queen's own tongue but Warlord Keraph Xalascent's that the Brigade was dissuaded from their quest, covertly dodging any reprimand from the Warchief's order that they were to move freely. In the end it was Masquerade's choice to lead her Agents out of Tirisfal.

It would only be discovered later that a member of DHB, a young elf with no real ties to the Brigade or any respect for their leader, had ventured into the city alone only to be captured by the Forsaken. Though Masquerade thought the girl nothing but trouble she agreed to a rescue mission to take place the following evening, ensuring another brush with Infection all too soon...

With the upcoming patch 4.3 and Transmogrifier NPC, The Dragonhawk Brigade will be running weekly old-content raids for previous gear sets!

In case you haven't read the blue post, here it is...now get EXCITED!

Originally Posted by MMOChampion (http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/959624-Patch-4.3-Updated-Information-Transmogrification-Preview?p=12770365#post12770365):
You’ve been asking for it, and we were listening. In patch 4.3 you’ll be able to customize the appearance of your weapons and armor like never before.

The Ethereals, emerging from the nether, will bring with them a new technology they call Transmogrification. They’re heading to the capital cities of Azeroth to set up shop and to offer adventurers a unique service -- copying the appearance of one magical item onto another. They only ask for a modest gold donation to recoup their costs.

Visiting a Transmogrifier will present players with a new interface that will allow them to change the appearance of an item while retaining its original stats. This means that you can raid in your paladin tier 12 Immolation set, but look like you’re wearing Lightbringer, while priests can bring Benediction back -- at least in spirit. Hunters can once again roam the jungles of Stranglethorn Vale in their tier 2 Dragonstalker set. You could even slip into the saucy tailored Black Mageweave set for that matter. You know, with the thigh highs, and the little gloves, and the cute little… ahem.

http://media.mmo-champion.com/images/news/2011/august/transmo2_small.jpg

Placing an item into the Transmogrifier interface will offer a preview of how the item will appear once the change is applied. However, not all item pairings are compatible with Transmogrification. In general, only items that have stats can be used in the transmogrification process. You must also be able to wear both items when using this service. Ethereals don’t have much in the way of ethics, but allowing someone to appear as if they’re equipping unusable items crosses the line. Similarly, they won’t allow you to change weapon or armor types. Sneaky death knights can’t make that breastplate look like a cloth robe, and you can’t make a one-handed axe look like a two-handed axe, or transform a sword’s appearance into that of a mace. Guns, bows, and crossbows will be the exception to this rule. You will finally be able to retain your dwarf’s racial gun bonus while appearing with all the splendor and elegance of a bow wielder (or at least the relative silence of one).

http://media.mmo-champion.com/images/news/2011/august/transmo2_small.jpg

Placing items into the Transmogrify interface will increase the gold cost of the process, and clicking the Transmogrify button (assuming you have the necessary funds) will put the appearance change into effect. The process can be reversed by clicking the undo icon on each item, and then hitting the Transmogrify button once more to save the changes. Any item that’s transmogrified will have text indicating it’s been altered by the process for all to see, similar to the item tooltip callout for reforged items.

http://media.mmo-champion.com/images/news/2011/august/transmo3_small.jpg

Transmogrification encourages players to hold onto items with sentimental or aesthetic value, and the Ethereals anticipate that personal bag and bank space will be at a premium now that everyone will be hoarding their frilly pantaloons and leather jerkins. In anticipation of this new demand for additional storage space, they’ll be introducing a unique Void Storage service.
