Alliance Roleplay channel

I have gotten in touch with some of you in game already, and I am not sure if it has been posted in the Alliance channel since I don't have access (apologies for cross referencing if it has) but some of us are trying to develop a global RP channel on the alliance side.

It is based on a gnomish voice box premise, rather than a specific setting since being in 2 places at once conceptually doesn't work well for everyone.

I am sure most of us prefer face to face RP, but sometimes due to time constraints and other commitments it is tough to get together. This is just a solution for those occasions, as well as a way of meeting other RPers.

So, if you have the channel space, please come and join /role, and spread the lubbins.

I was just surprised there wasn't one already since most RP servers have one. I just logged on to check my bank and there were a few people in there chatting even at this time of day :)

There are a total of 4 RP channels on the alliance side. So in all honesty best of luck. Creating a 5th and asking people to move to it is going to be a major task.

Also to point out 70% of the RP guilds on the alliance side do not visit this website, they generally don't visit any website. You will get more by telling people in game.

This channel has only emerged from not being able to find one, from asking around and people not knowing of one. I would definately rather just join an established one, and if there are some already in existance, please list them :) This is not a takeover at all - the existing channels are just not advertised or mentioned.

It's a shame that the Alliance isn't as unified in RP as the Horde on this server, I think that we could organize some really great stuff!

Oh, and someone PM me some info on the Tirisfalen. Since the Waltzers borke up in the middle of our little enmity, Infection is kinda left hanging. Shoot me some info so we can start something new up!

Well I am personally not on this server anymore. I spend 3 days here (Barely) and 4 days running the keepers on The Venture Co.

As for channels.
1. There was the original TNG channel.
2. Then the Swordwaltzers had their own channel.
3. HonorGuard has their own channel but that is invite only.
4. I believe the Maidens of Elune have a RP channel as well.
5 Invictus Sanctum has a channel but that again is Invite only. (From what I have heard)
6. The IFR channel is open and actively being used.

Then their are guild channels. IFR and the Keepers had their own channel etc etc.

If you want a channel to do well and attract members use one set up by the larger guilds.

Also I am not sure if Ancient Mythos has a RP channel. But check with them. There are 3 or 4 other small RP guilds out there. I believe Wrath of Astrannar is going back to its RP roots. Pythre can say more about the Gryphonclaw Brigade which was originally RP.

You dont need five differant channels for roleplaying! We have two to three, and thats only because the cellar and upstairs of the roleplaying tavern are differant levels.

Just to clarify, I am a member of 2 of the guilds (Swordwaltzers, now called tirisfalen, and maidens of Elune and:



1. There was the original TNG channel. -I asked about this and many say that is has fallen to decline. As has been mentioned, not many of the alliance guilds come here.

2. Then the Swordwaltzers had their own channel. We have our own RP channel for our guild because our /gu is IC. As fas as I know, the channel is for guild use. We also have a channelwhich is an old alliance channel, and is OOC.
3. HonorGuard has their own channel but that is invite only. Invite only is not what the channel I had in mind was all about. Open for all is more like it.

4. I believe the Maidens of Elune have a RP channel as well. Maidens have an OOC channel because their /gu is IC. They have an alliance channel that is specifically for members of that alliance and excplicitly not for anyone else.

5 Invictus Sanctum has a channel but that again is Invite only. (From what I have heard) again invite only.

6. The IFR channel is open and actively being used. I know IFR has a ton of channels, most of which support some kind of alliance.


I am not arguing with you, I am just pointing out that I am reasonably well informed and did some research. And if we all wan't to join /rp that works for me, we can call it whatever you like.

I'd recommend calling it /RP, because EVERY RP server has a /rp, so it's the first thing most people new to a server will join.

I joined the alliance /RP channel today. There was only one other person in it. Tomorrow I will try the /role channel...unless that's been changed...

What channel is Alliance RPing in again? Are you going with what you originally posted? I really want to support whatever Ylisaxa is doing. I only have /say and whatever IC channel is being used in any given game, and turn off all ooc channels. :)

The only drawback to that, I would say, is that new players on the server who don't check the forums would doubtfully find it, while /rp is an almost universal constant for RP

I considered changing it, but so many people had been told role that I decided to leave it be to not cause any confusiuon. I am posting on the offical forums and announcing in the guild recruitment channel so hopefully new players will become aware fo it.
