View Full Version : another question of large significance

Rasta

I'm faced with another situation... I've played Rasta to 52, but it's been a very long and lazy process... definitely lots of learning experiences. However, he's a hunter... and hunters are basically like rogues... there are so many of them, the demand isn't very high. However, I do have fun playing him, and playing a hunter in general...

I also have an alt, Kikyo, who is now a 39 priest... and I have a lot of fun playing her, as well. I also know that she will be in slightly higher demand at 60 (well, i guess 70 later on) than Rasta. Basically, I'm at a point where I'm trying to decide which one I want to take to 60, and thus have be my main.

Decisions decisions... does anyone have any advice or opinions? Besides just the "go with whatever you feel most comfortable with, or have the most fun with". As far as fun goes, I have equal amounts on both of them, but for different reasons. Rasta, because well... he's just a fun-lovin guy. Kikyo, because she fills a definite roll in the groups she's in, and I get a sense of satisfaction and achievement when I get to the end of an instance, knowing that we made it through alive because of me.

Hunters are a dime a dozen.

GOOD hunters are rare.

...

Same goes with all classes, really. You have a metric asston of folk running about - but most of them are pure crap.

If you do stick with your priest, I would most certainly keep your hunter. The biggest thing I hear priests bitching about (yes, bitching) is that they can't do jack crap solo'ing... unless they are shadow.

SO, when you feel like you have to destroy somebody - play your hunter! Not only will you annihilate things... you get to be cheesy about it like macro'ing your feign death/traps and jump around like a complete moron.

... I hate jumping hunters.

shadow all the way.

Just remember, you can heal perfectly fine...out of shadow form, and you can solo easier as shadow than well, just about every other class. Rogues are the only ones that really out-do you (And hunters who are made for solo)

Just stack int and spirit, spirit taps gets so high to the point you have no use for water.

get a wee bit of stamina of course, as it's a PvP server.

You know, soloing as a holy priest isn't difficult...I did it all the way to 60, and still grind in Silithus from time to time with the same spec. The only thing is...things don't die very quickly. It takes a small mountain landing on your ass to actually kill *you*, but you can only, at most, two-pull non-elites of a similar level.

Me? I love the Twilight Cultist camps. Mobs are spaced out a little, I can collect the robes, mantles, and cowls, texts drop, morning glory dew drops, which keeps me going for little to no cost...only thing I need a group for is if I want to summon elementals.

Anyway, just pointing out how most bitch about solo priest work because it's not as fast as...well, just about anyone else...but in a shit-fest, psychic scream followed by a 3k heal is *very* nice.
