With all the talk of goblins about, I thought I'd bring in some about the other new race coming in Cataclysm for the Alliance. I'm used to being a die-hard Horde player, but playing a worgen is just too appealing.
As for info so far: http://www.wowwiki.com/Worgen_%28playable%29
I'm hesitant to reveal too much info on my current character ideas, given how much could change, and I would like interaction with other potential players. As for how the curse is spread, most signs point to the traditional biting (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=53174), besides those like Arugal casting the curse himself, so I'm using that.

Nothing, yet? To get a little interest, hopefully, here's an excerpt from my story so far.
Little time passed before the guards burst back into the cell room, finding the bloody mess left in the cell that held Jonb, and the wolf-like monster that had killed him. One recoiled in terror at the sight, falling back and crawling backwards away. The other shakily drew his sword, and yelled at the transformed man. “B-beast! I’ll slay you for that…”
The wolf man immediately recognized the threat, snarling at the guard. The two were separated by the bars, and neither wanted to open it at the risk of being attacked. Sierg had been watching with morbid curiosity, and called to the standing guard. “Let me out. I’ll open the door so you can kill it.”
A conflicted expression covered the guard’s face, over his duty and the terror of what he faced. “I can’t do that! You’re… you’re no better than that thing!”
Sierg turned his blank gaze to the wolf man, growling and walking back and forth along the cell bars, and back to the guard. “Better it kill me first, then, when it gets out. That will give you the opportunity to take it down. Otherwise, it may just break down the door later and escape.”
The beast snarled, and the guard on the floor recoiled further, his back against the far wall. The one with the larger bit of courage struggled to find his key ring, fumbling over them to find the right one. He quickly went for the door to Sierg’s cell, trying to stay out of the long reach of the monster’s arms through the bars. The door swung open, and the guard threw the keys at Sierg before running to where he believed was safe from the monster. Sierg picked them up off the ground, and flipped through the keys to find the right one.
“It’s that one,” the guard snapped once Sierg had picked it up. The sword in his hands was shaking as the prisoner slowly approached the door. The monster inside turned to look at Sierg, staring with curiosity and a predatory hunger. He ignored it as best he could, being within range of its claws if it struck out from between the bars. The key easily inserted into the lock, and turned it open. Sierg was knocked to the ground instantaneously as the beast shoved itself against the door, flinging it open, and leapt right for the guard. Its speed was unmatched, and a claw knocked the iron helm off of the guard’s head, gash marks across his cheek as his head twisted unnaturally. He was dead before he hit the floor, and his partner crawled out of the cell room as fast as he could.
Standing over his conquest, the monster howled out in victory, before turning it’s attention back to Sierg. He hadn’t seen what had happened, but it was as he expected; the guard had stood no chance against it. “You didn’t kill me.”
The lupine face managed a grin, a toothy, grim expression, and one that caught Sierg by surprise at the recognition, but not as much as when it spoke. “You posed no threat, human.” It kicked the corpse of the guard, an ineffectual attempt that still sent it flying against the wall. Sierg slowly stood up to face it. “This one bared a weapon against me. As for the other, I was just hungry.”

I didn't read anything but the last paragraph, and it was bad ass.
That being said - I probably will have a worgen of some kind, but humans have never been my favorite race (sorry, I just love Draenei) and with all the stigma that is attached to "Shewulf" and "Jacobbe", I'm just really hoping their storyline plays out to be seriously epic.
I know heid plans on race changing his druid to worgen when he gets the time - he just isn't fond of night elves ;p

I will make one, for sure. I'm not sure how serious of an alt it will be. The optimistic dreamer who always thinks she has more time than she actually has in me wants to make a "Gentleman's Society" guild where everyone sits around and drinks tea and speaks unmercifully politely to one another during the day and goes and kills kittens at night :)

I'm developing my character as well, I'm willing to toss ideas around.

If I were to roll a Worgen (Goblins. <3) I'd probably go for as corny as can possibly be, without going past the line, just to be a dink about it.

Worgen looks really cool, I love how you can be in human and Worgen form, the main + of this race will be the MASSIVE influx of players to ally side just to play this badass race

That good enough for you, Irontoe?
Anyway, the concept so far for my character is that of a convicted murderer (whether he did it for a good reason or not is debatable, given his past) finding a sort of release in the Worgen curse for his temper and brutality, and, ironically, that being put to use later when Gilneas rejoins the Alliance. I plan on playing a rogue, by the way.

My character concept is a city or town guard. Maybe our characters could be nemeses?

Concept for my character is going to be pretty close to the basic.
Former mage before the curse, but when it hit he found himself wrestling with his animal instincts.
When the night elves arrived on the scene he saw druidism as a way to take control of his animal nature, though eventually he realized he would be better off if he embraced it instead of fighting it.

I've already been playing a human on TN that I plan on race changing when the option becomes available down the line. Currently a level 50 human warrior named Seryk whom I'm more than happy to RP with at any time if someone wants to drop me a line on here to set something up. Seryk is a native of Gilneas but has spent the last couple of decades far from its shore for person reasons.

I've been toying with the idea of racechanging/rerolling Rosemerta worgen. I rewrote her story a little tiny bit when I started playing her again recently - just a relocation of her mother's side of the family (uncles and aunts!) to Gilneas and it gives Liadon an excuse to pester the everloving hell out of rosey to go visit reletives!
Oooo. I might need a Liadon now :O
DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU DO TO ME, ANTHEK?!

A bit unrelated, but thinking about Worgen actually just gave me a new idea to totally screw over Agnarr. I love making him hurt!
(I think I need help)
Anyone want to play his latter-40s wife as a worgen? :D
(kidding. maybe)

If any of you plan to be a Grizzly Hills "trapper" affiliated Worgen, then my HUMAN hunter will soon be able to join you in something when the time draws near.

Spot on, mate! *Throws kitten into the Great Forge* I must be off now, cheerios wiv milk.
Worgen isn't as appealing to me as goblin.. Mostly because all the poserific emo Twilight people are gonna be all.. "I'm a Werewolf. I love a girl who's attracted to a vampire. I like to fill the fourth book of a series with my incessant QQing,"
But as soon as like.. Three or four months after Cataclysm is released, and the crappy losers have cleared out of Gilneas, I'll maybe roll a warlock (they can be warlocks, yes?), and have some fun with that.

Anyone interested in my Worgen perspective would find it in a short story I wrote.

Worgen is the only thing that may bring me back for Cat, as between the above-shown RP ideas and the shapeshifting mechanics they are too cool for school. Plus if you haven't seen the Worgen Rogue stealth animations... wow. That alone is worth it.
