Well to start off, i should mention that Rajjah and Taurment are proud new members of Sanctuary *cheers and applauds*, ty ty. It was a great first experience within the rp community, i had a blast.

But to the point....While running around Felwood with my new comrads with Taurment, doin what needed to be done, Vilmah and the others were also in /rp channel doin their thing....so i joined in a little only to have someone, and i quote "choke on my name" hahahhahahahah. This made me laugh, cause the person did keep in character when they said something like.."look it's Taurm..." *<insert character> chokes on name*.

So i guess taurment is gonna be kept mostly for pvp and helping others, like Rajjahs mute sidekick or something. Rajjah is almost 30 so feel free to join in questing if you're that level.

I don't know how often they do this, but you can always request a name change from GMs. I know quite a few people who've had it done, and quite a few for RP reasons. One of our guild members had his name changed by a GM when he revealed he was the son of the chief of a troll tribe, and had to assume the mantle. Pretty awesome.

Hmm....the person who did that was prolly doing it IC completley, and not in an OOC manner...I was also prolly watching when the person said it, but I honestly don't remember who it was-- otherwise I could prolly tell you if that was an IC-additude thing from that character or not.

Not being privvy to the conversation I can only guess, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn it was just a tongue in cheek reference to your earlier thread if introduction, where you mentioned concern that Taurment might not be RP enough of a name.

bumbojin has connections in high places!

he was once bumboclot, but after his story was revealed, it changed to bumbojin. there was no transfer and the name on my friends list simply changed from bumboclot to bumbojin.

i think it is a case of varying strictness in policy.

Didn't take offense from it at all, he kept IC which made it funny. I just assume not use taurment in rp more than needed, thinking he'll just be there for service, and his ever watchful eye on Rajjah. My aim is to be more active with Rajjah anyways. Taurment only came out of hiding to help Sancuary, no more. He'll be more of the strong/silent type. Problem solved.

I was only messing with you, Shadowspeak. Your name has actual words in it, so I used you as an example. Your name has never really bothered me at all, it's people who have names like "Deathmaker" and "Hearteater" and stuff that kill me. Some people though, they can play it off. Other people just assume that they should create a superhero name... lol
