((First, I wasn't sure whether this should be in Nether Legends or the Journals since it's not in point of view for ANY of my actively played characters. However, seeing that how this one will be just a notes by a Scourge head researcher, I will place it in the Journals. As the title suggests, this is Part 1 of Samiel's RP and I've done my best to keep things according to lore while adding on my stories.

Inspiration credit goes to the Necrons of Warhammer 40,000 universe.))

In the spoils of war, you see a notebook. While the soldiers seem uninterested in it, you decided to take a look at it, as it maybe an important document. Perhaps a map of supply routes or attack plans?

As you open the notebook, it turns out to be a research log over certain material that the Scourge researchers worked on. Finding it intriguing, you decide to read on further.

In legible and clear writing, in Common and Orcish, the writings continue on, although it gives off no hint of who the writer might be.

Praise our lord, the Lich King for granting us this chance to test our newly found product. His providence guides us, and we must not fail. Our test subject is identified as one of the former commanders of Lordaeron, named Samiel Esquivel Angelos. Within the project, I shall call him, SEA.

SEA have held the glorious chance to spar with my lord, and I envy him for that. Stupidity and barbarism or not, it seems that my lord was satisfied with this man, and decided to raise him as one of his field commanders. How I wish to lead my enhanced ghouls and skeletons in his name. But that dream never seems to be coming, seeing how my lord prefers me stuck in the lab.

Some interesting information I hear about this man from memories I've extracted off my minions who served SEA.

Obviously, he is a son of lowborn, I could find that out without problem. Looking at the way muscles are developed, this is one of low birth, perhaps a miner or dock laborer. Regardless, his body is intact, and this will be the factor that separates SEA from other ghouls and zombies.

Commander of Lordaeron 2nd in the earlier parts of the Third War. Age thirty... or was it thirty two? Matters not. Birthplace is Stratholme. May the Baron finds his ruling without resistance. Ah, but what interests me most is different memories about him. One of the ghouls...

... remember him as an honorable man, defending his subordinates with fervor. While the other remembers him as a child-killer. I will have to delve deeper in to SEA's memories myself and see what this child-killing is about. Any unpleasant memories of the former life may have bad impact on the future performance, and such must be removed at all costs for perfection!

Another recalls him as a dishonorable man for a knight. What is this honor? Again, yet another memory I must see and expurgate. Psycho-conditioning of the subject is utmost importance, seeing how some ghouls have faltered in their functionality. And of course, I cannot forget what happened to Sylvanas just because she regained her consciousness. Perhaps, without memories of former self, the subject will forever remain in servitude of the Scourge, and ultimately, as a baneful weapon towards the living.

Praise the Lich King and may the living and the Forsaken bow down to him.

The first phase was successful.

This new metal, Saronite from Northrend is sturdy and yet malleable enough for our workers to turn it into the flexible material I needed. Of course, not just me but my personal assistants who understand my sublime vision! The superior creature that will surpass an Abomination in terms of strength, and yet small enough to move fast as a frenzied ghoul with an intelligence of Lichs without fear of death. Merciless in deeds and et cetera. Now, the only annoying thing about this damned metal is that it whispers things, even when it's separated from the ore vein. Unacceptable should this being whisper at my creation. The only whisper it will hear will be one of the Lich King's!

[the page ends and continues]

Now to the fun part... I get to dismantle SEA. Of course, I will give him new body that he will appreciate me for. He will be glad to be given this second chance, and by the time he is fully reconstructed, I should be done modifying his memory so that there's nothing but absolute obedience.

I've instructed my assistants to tie him down. For a man that has been dead for few years, SEA remained excellent in condition. No sign of rot at all. This will be a good thing, as he may be used as a spy among the living with his looks. Not that he, a mere lowborn would be attractive to the high-ranked people, but the fact that my Lord's minion, planted among the hated living with subconscious trigger that'll make him obey any commands is good enough. He will be indeed, a great addition to the arsenals of Scourge.
