History: (Work in Progress) A paladin by birth, Saulle was born roughly around the turning point of the Second War. His parents both fought in the war and shortly after the Alliance’s victory, they returned to Elwynn, where Stormwind was undergoing reconstruction. He spent his entire life in Northshire, spending every aching moment in its library, in the hopes of becoming a scholar. Unfortunately, as the years moved on, it became clear he would be robbed of that possibility, as he was thrust into Northshire’s defence of growing pests and bandits. In an unlikely encounter, he stumbled upon Noxtrael, who granted him entry into the Order of Paladins.
He quickly fell under the tutelage of Arhen, who eventually left the Order and still remained the Paladin’s tutor until Knighthood. Combined with the practical skills of wielding the Light within the Order and from what Saulle had studied of the Order of the Silver Hand and other Paladins, he quickly became enamoured with ideas of honour, chivalry and duty. As time progressed, and as each battle weighed more heavily on him, those lines had begun to blur, eventually culminating in a terrible blow to the skull. Upon a period of recovery, Saulle eventually determined there was one universal truth and that was the concept of justice. Anyone who would waylay him from delivering true justice would be found wanton and in contempt.
He still believes whole-heartedly in the Light, yet finds himself struggling between what he morally feels is right and wrong. The intellectual in him holds his humanity in check, whilst his anger has become poison in his veins, culminating in the beast which stirs only when he finds his faith lacking.
