You all suck.
But I'm still saying hi :D.
Here's this years drop in and talk to Valon thread. Which of you old vets are still kicking around these forums?
Also, vent info is good. I hear it helps me talk to you all, and have women jump all over my sexy aussie accent. Speaking of which, you guys finally get another Aussie in here? Last time I remember, it was only me, Dio and Gloom.

And apparently, I forgot that you silly americans are all asleep at this point of the night.
Bugger it. Oh well, tomorrow I guess :P.
I never sleep. Silly goose.
Valon

:O
I've heard that forum trolls don't sleep, but I never saw proof until this day.
Rumors of my sleeping were greatly exaggerated . Duh.

Sleep is overrated.

I've never quite understood what it is about our accents that, from what I hear, turns things to mush. If someone can help explain it to me, by all means, I implore you.

I'm going to destroy you and everything you stand for.

Valon

You talking about the tremor that apparently happened?
Catilyn
09-23-2009, 07:24 AM
I was thinking more along the lines of THE SKIES GOING BLOOD RED!
Valon
09-23-2009, 07:25 AM
Yeah, that didn't happen in Melbourne.
We got a mild tremor though.

Oh, right; that was Sydney, not Melbourne.
For those who have no idea what we're talking about...
A DUST storm that smothered New South Wales and southern Queensland pushed air pollution levels to 1500 times their normal levels - the highest on record.
Towns across far west NSW were yesterday hit with strong winds and low visibility, and dust swept up from those areas crossed through the state, blanketing Sydney and Brisbane today.
Dr John Leys, principal research scientist with the NSW Department of Climate Change and Water, said initial estimates showed the dust plume stretched 600km along the NSW coast from Sydney to the Queensland border and Brisbane this morning, dumping up to 75,000 tonnes of dust per hour into the Tasman Sea.
"It's travelled about 1500km to get to Sydney," Dr Leys said.
Chris Eiser, manager of atmospheric science at the department, said measurements taken in Sydney today showed the highest level of particle concentration on record.
Example of what it looked like from the eyes of any normal bystander...

Yeah, looks rather crazy.
We had a Mag 3 quake centered about 10kms from my house last night. Was interesting for a moment.

G'day mate.
Has been a while indeed. Wanted to link a piece of RP Sanrin wrote back in the day for a good friend of mine, and went through some of the old threads, realising how much fun I had, so decided to hang round a bit more :).
Gonna start leveling a toon on TN in my off-time. Any guilds lookin for a cynical and narcissistic mage?

I've never met a midget this happy. The patient doesn't suffer from Achondroplasia. You're forgetting he lives in Australia, a slight step down from living in Jurassic Park. The patient likely picked up a parasite which is now living between his hypothalamus and anterior pituitary. This explains his catastrophically tiny amounts of human growth hormone and tall order of dopamine.
Foreman, prep R2-D2 here for a CT.

Pretty much this. I've always been a fan of the "British" accent, and the aussie's take it a step higher (though the kiwis take it more of a step to the side).

Scots have a mean accent too. *nods*
Though any Gaelic is music to my ears.
Accents are just lovely and mysterious when they come from another country. :)
