Want to preview your bloodelf or draeni character???

First: you must have WoW installed on your machine.

Second: install the WoW expansion files at https://beta.worldofwarcraft.com/expansion/downloads/#none

Third: install the TBC viewer at http://rapidshare.de/files/32212007/tbc.rar.html

It does not work with the most recent Model Viewer found at Curse Gaming. It used to, but then suddenly (suspected after pressure from Blizzard) the version E disappeared. Their download says it's E, but it's not.

There is rumor that once the expansion goes live, this model viewer will not be working anymore so fiddle with it now to make your coolio siggys. My quickie one is:

but I will be making a fine-tuned siggy sometime this weekend for board trolling.

The model viewer is great for trying on clothes, slowing down the motion so you can get cool poses for siggies without having to snap that perfect screenshot as you can move them frame by frame forward and backwards. Don't forget to check off viewing their underwear so it doesnt' show through some of the slinkier things.

And, you can create moving gifs with it.

Love you guys. Hope to see you sometime on an RP server in the future, whether it be in this or any other mmorpg. Anytime you see any female character with a Dan prefix, or a deFafnyr, or Amulette....send a whisper. It might be me.

Now be aware, this is only public information because someone in beta broke the NDA and leaked the information....along with everything else that's being leaked like sound bites and mounts and such. HOWEVER, I am not in beta, and so I did not sign the NDA therefore I am under no obligation to not pass on what was passed on to me.

Eventually I expect someone is going to run and tattle to the officials and they will do something that will stop any one else from being able to do this, but it won't effect those that have already got their files downloaded and the model viewer that is capable of showning them.

You do not have to even have an active WoW account, but you do need to have WoW installed on your computer.

And I've activated my account again, and am currently using these files to make siggies and fan art, so, no, not effecting my game so it shoudln't mess up yours. :)

Install the Burning Crusade Client

Unzip the TBC viewer, and execute the program in the folder.

On the left there will be lists of models to view, catagorized.

Yea, you have to open the folder and click on the exec. file. You'll be able to make siggies galore with that thing. I love the model viewer add on. Clys used it to make my frolick gif too.

I dont know about you guys but the installer always locks up on my pc. It has never gone past 44%, half the time it locks up when I tell it to skip the authorization code. Wouldnt be bad except every time you attempt the install it must be a one shot deal. if you try to install in the same location where it previously locked up the installer will say it can not be installed in this directory.

You don't authorize it, don't put in a code. You can't play the expansion. All you need is the files installed on the computer, don't kick the game portion on.

You just turn on the model viewer.

Thats my point danlily the Installer itself is locking up. Last time I tried it never even got past 2% before crashing. I am going to re download and re install the install tool and try that.

Course couldn't find the original realmlist.wtf so i ended up redownloading...

As a note to patch the client just put the original realmlist.wtf file back and try and login with ANY username and password... it will start the update without authenticating you... then you can just put the other realmlist back in.

I used the link you gave, Danlily, to download the TBC patch as well as the model viewer... The patch went through well, but the link to the model viewer gave me a .rar file, nothing to unzip, and no way to open or use it. Am I missing something?

That I don't know and will have to ask Clys when I get home tonight. He seems to be able to open any file regardless of suffix and have our machines set up that way ((loves her geek to pieces!)). I'll ask. In the meantime, does anyone else know how to open that kind of file?

Do you have WinZip, or anything like that? It can expand .rar files.

Does anyone have any sort of ETA on BC? I've been tinkering with a baby undead 'lock because I want to play a warlock a lot, but if BC is just around the corner, I will frankly just wait for that.
