Iv'e decided that after I get to rank eleven on Shadowspeak, I will dedicate alot of my time to the remake of my first character-

Halorin, Tauren Warrior.

I put him on the new RP server "Sentinals". After I get to rank 11 (mabey just forget about it and stop at 10) I will be devoting most of my time to Halorin. Iv'e just..had it! I Can't much stand the server any longer.

After Iv'e done the following.. I WILL be back but... I'm not sure when.

I'm not quiting TN or anything... nor deleting any of my characters, or transfering them. I'm just going away for a while.

That's exactly the kind of stuff I was getting, Nadea, back when I retired Danlily. I've been waiting on this expansion to come out before I turn my account back on, but when I do I'm seriously, seriously considering going to a plain RP server without the PVP. I'm sick of the kiddies and after a twelve hour shift of being caring and understanding to my patients, I don't want to come home to some asshat camping me, or even being semi competitive against other players for that matter. I'm just too damn tired after work for that kind of nonsense. I just want to kick back with a Coors or a glass of reisling and relax with some questing.

PVP is cool on weekends when I've got my game on, but for my every night after work endeavors, I want to relax when I'm having fun.

Its a damn shame that the PvP kiddies feel the need to infiltrate the Rp/PvP servers...because I LOVE the concept of the set up. I mean, its a thrill to be flagged all the time...makes it more realistic, RP-wise, in my opinion.

Hmm... from what I've heard, older RP servers, like Argent Dawn and the like, are no more RP than our server. I guess you'll have to see for yourself...

It's been my experience over the last 7 years, that in any game, the RP servers are great when they are new, and then all of them as they age loose their RP gusto when the majority of the server gets to endgame and the RPers get apathetic. I don't know really why that is, but it's an observation I've found happen through the course of 13 mmorpgs.

If you are lucky, some of those servers on those games will have little havens like TNG here, and the Raven Mythic on EQ2's Antonia Bayle server, where the RPers support RP and each other and each other's events.

I'll likely go to the new RP server, to find not only more RP because it IS new and not yet apathetic (though I expect it will be in 9 months), and because I'm not enjoying the PVP anymore. If I were going to stay with the PVP, I'd definately stay here with TNG. This is a great community.

If you got business on your side of the monitor, and it's starting to bleed into the game; I'd find another game that isn't as fun so you can hate that one. For me, I take up model making when I'm pissed. I'll make something, half ass it, get mad... then feel better! I drop it in frustration, and blame all said frustration on those damn little model airplanes. Tada! Back to video games and porno.

The generally named "non-RPer" is a rather docile creature... until it senses your annoyance levels being at critical mass. Then, it's mere presence will annoy the ever living shit out of you; much less the conversations it'll strike up, and/or the words that spray from it's chat box.

Even after hearing you say you're coming back. I don't know where people came from, but I came from a RP server. Not PvE, not PvP... but RP. "Leet Kiddies" isn't something you can run from. Morons live everywhere, you can't escape them. On a RP server you have flag games, people ninja your chests and you can't kill them for it, and as soon as your guild hits MC and epics start dropping all those cool people turn into morons because "ooh! epix! Must have!"

Bleh.

Here we don't just get the PvE Maniacs, but we get the PvP Maniacs. But there are positives too. We can do the PvE, we can do the BGs, we can do the .. well everything really. Someone ninja's your chest? good chance you can kill him for it. Back on my old server.. RP just dwindled away into obscurity as purple items came into fashion. Here on TN? we're still pushing hard to keep up with each aspect.

Running isn't an answer unless you just want a new crowd of friends, but if you've already got a good group, then the loss is greater.

Silly little humans, Clarityrose and Altamore, a priestess and a warrior betrothed at birth (he's older by like 5 years)

She would have been named Clarity, but some evil person makes one on every single server, and then never plays the character... the only server so far that I've found it free was steemweedle cartel, and you bet your bologna that I saved it ;p

I actually rolled a nightelf on Sentinal last night and am really enjoying the stress free environment. Got her to level 8 and gonna keep playing her. I think playing alliance for a while will be a great vacation for me so that when Bloodelves come in I'll be rip-raring to go back to horde again and ready for more serious play then. I tried Venture Co. server first, and shut off general chat first thing, and dammit, the kiddes were plastering their l3wt speak all over /say and /yell too so I left. Sentinal was nice and peaceful and narry a l3wt name in the newbie zones.

If you are alliance on Sentinal, give Danyx a whisper.

Personally, I don't see how leet kiddies can bother anyone. It's as simple as disabling the means for which they could possibly be a bother. Turn off general chat, or move it and any other OOC channels to a different window, and RP at will. With that in mind, I find it hard to imagine anyone with a background in Twisting Nether moving to another server for lack of RP. It's like leaving a penthouse suite for a slummy, run-down apartment.

Kerpah, problem is that they don't keep it to general and other OOC channels. They don't have any sort of idea of an IC channel, and so will be stupid in /say, /yell and other sorts of character that are IC. So, to fully avoid them, you need to shut down all your channels.

Like I just said....it was all ooc lewt speak in /SAY and /YELL. I can't possibly turn off all my channels. It wasn't just general, that's the first thing I shut off. After about 45 minutes of it, and hearing one guy saying in /say f*ck f*ck f*ckity ...etc without the astericks, I'd had enough. The mentality is junior high....in ALL the channels and I shouldn't have to shut off /say or /shout. And it wasn't just a few, it was ALL of them. I'd have had to report every single person who was talking in /say. This was yesterday afternoon on Venture Company server, which was really dissapointing because I was looking forward to that server. So I left. I'm liking Sentinal instead.

Feels like a part of the experience is leaving too :( I guess I was just trying to make a last ditch effort, but I completely understand if it's getting to be more irritating than it is enjoyable.
