A friend of mine posted this (http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2009/07/stephen-hawking-the-planet-has-entered-a-new-phase-of-evolution.html) up on his Facebook, and it really is an interesting read. I totally agree - hundreds of years ago we became what we were out of necessity, but with how things have changed in the last few hundred years - humans have so much free will that predicting any straight course of evolution would be impossible.

It's kinda funny to think that maybe, hundreds of thousands of years down the line, my ancestors will be the perfect Game Designing race. And they shall be awesome.

Is it sad though that at the very end of the article where he believes that we will be able to change our very base genes with ease that I thought "Sweet. I'm gonna get +10 to Intellect"?

Should've left it. Maybe his descendants will learn to write in Australian.
